Bryan Cranston And Aaron Paul Will Not Be In Season 1 Of 'Better Call Saul'

If you were hoping for a cameo by Bryan Cranston or Aaron Paul on "Breaking Bad" spin-off "Better Call Saul," don't get your hopes up.

"Better Call Saul" executive producer Peter Gould confirmed Walter White and Jesse Pinkman won't appear in the first season of the show during a panel for the new show at the Television Critics Association Saturday (TCA).

"We want this to really stand on its own," said Gould, according to Hitfix. "We don't want to mislead people into expecting something that's not going to happen... Having said that, everything else is on the table."

According to Los Angeles Times reporter Stephen Battaglio, star Bob Odenkirk joked he asks about Cranston every time he comes into the office of the show.

"Has Walter White called yet," Odenkirk recalled.

It was also noted during the panel that Pinkman's character, played by Aaron Paul, would be in late middle school or high school at this point.

Creator Vince Gilligan told press that doesn't mean we won't see other characters from "Breaking Bad." However, you'll never see a character cameo just for the sake of a cameo.

Via Hitfix:

"Any of these characters from 'Breaking Bad' could theoretically appear in future seasons, but our hope is that when they do, it'll feel proper and organic. If it feels like a stunt, then we in the writers room have done something horribly wrong," said Gilligan.

"You also don't want to have the detail in the background distract you from what's going on in the foreground," he added. "We're trying to keep our eyes on the prize."

"Better Call Saul" takes place six years before Bob Odenkirk's lawyer Saul Goodman ever meets Walter White and his meth-making partner Jesse.

better call saul mike As for Cranston and Paul, it's not impossible to see them somewhere down the line on "Better Call Saul." Odenkirk told us a while back he'd love to have both of them on the show even if it meant in a background cameo.

"I don't know whether their characters matter that much or if we just need to hire you know Bryan and Aaron to walk behind me at the golf course or walk across the street when I'm driving my car around town. I don't know if they'll engage with the story, but they could," Odenkirk previously told Business Insider.

aaron paul bryan cranston breaking badThough we won't see Walter White this season on "Better Call Saul," Cranston will be on set of the new AMC series directing a future episode.

Cranston previously directed three episodes of "Breaking Bad" — "Seven Thirty-Seven," "No Más," and 2013's "Blood Money." We're looking forward to it.

"Better Call Saul" premieres on AMC Sunday, February 8 at 10 p.m.

Team Bieber Says 'Un-Retouched' Calvin Klein Photo Isn't Real

Justin Bieber Calvin Klein

"Team Bieber" has contacted pop music website BreatheHeavy.com with a cease and desist letter and a request to issue a retraction after it published photos that allegedly showed that Justin Bieber's Calvin Klein ads had been dramatically Photoshopped in order to give him a more muscular physique and a bigger bulge in his boxer shorts.

Bieber's entourage says the alleged un-retouched image published by BreatheHeavy.com isn't genuine. The website has obliged with the cease and desist order, apologized, and posted a retraction

The retraction says: "We sincerely apologize to Bieber for the hit to his ego and to the millions of tweens on social media we upset: Swag swag swag, on you. Chillin’ by the fire while we eatin’ fondue." (A play on Bieber's hit song "Boyfriend.")

BreatheHeavy.com's original post also claimed Bieber was a nightmare on set, trying to hit on fellow model Lara Stone repeatedly throughout the shoot.

However, Calvin Klein's chief marketing officer Melissa Goldie told Us Magazine he was the complete opposite.

Goldie said: "Justin showed up early every day with amazing energy; he completely trusted us and gave it his all."

She added: "Lara [Stone] definitely gave Justin some modeling pointers, especially when we shot the print images, but when we started to shoot the commercial, Justin had some pointers for Lara... He came alive when it was time to perform, especially when the drum kit came out — it was really impressive."

Meanwhile, Bieber's personal trainer Patrick Nilsson, has also leapt to the defense of the popstar over the photos.

He, somewhat bizarrely, told Access Hollywood: "I can definitely confirm [Justin] is a well-endowed guy. I sound weird saying that, but yes."

You said it.

Business Insider has contacted Calvin Klein again to ascertain whether the images posted by BreatheHeavy.com were in fact genuine. This article will be updated if a response is received.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler opened the 72nd Golden Globes with a bang.

The two took huge jabs at Sony Pictures and "The Interview," Joaquin Phoenix, and Russell Crowe; however, the duo finished their monologue with one big dig at Bill Cosby.

The comedian has been accused of sexual assault by over 20 women in the past few months.

Fey joked she saw that Cosby has finally spoken out about the allegations against him.

"Cosby admitted to a reporter, I put the pills in the people. The people did not want the pills in them,'" said Fey, impersonating Cosby.

Poehler interjected to correct Fey:

"That's not right," said Poehler. "It's more like, 'I got the pills and the bathrobe and I put them in the people.'"

Fey added, "You're right. It's got to be like, 'I put the pills in the hoagie.'"

We knew this was coming.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey didn't make it a minute into their Golden Globes opening monologue before addressing the massive cyber hack that hit Sony Pictures at the end of November.

Here's how it went down:

"Tonight we celebrate all the great television shows that we know and love along with all the movies North Korea was okay with," joked Fey.

"That’s right," continued Poehler. "The biggest story in Hollywood this year was when North Korea threatened an attack if Sony Pictures released ‘The Interview,’ forcing us all to pretend we wanted to see it."

"North Korea referred to ‘The Interview’ as absolutely intolerable and a wanton act of terror," added Fey. "Even more amazing, not the worst review the movie got."

Fey and Poehler didn't stop there.

Later on in the show they introduced comedian Margaret Cho who appeared at the awards show as a "contributor to Movies Wow Magazine" and "North Korean Army General."margaret cho golden globes

House of Cards

Kevin Spacey has been nominated for eight Golden Globes, including performances in "American Beauty" and "The Usual Suspects," but his first win is for Netflix series "House of Card."

"This is just the beginning of my revenge," Spacey joked as his character from the dark political dramedy when he took the award stage.

“I want to thank Netflix for their incredible support of this series," continued Spacey. "Ted (Sarandos), all of you guys have done an incredible job. I have an extraordinary time coming to work every day with brilliant writing from Beau Willimon and his incredible writing staff. An incredible cast … Kate (Mara), Robin (Wright), it’s a joy to come to work with you every day and all of those that I work with every day.”

"This is the eighth time I've been nominated," added Spacey. "I cannot f---ing believe I won."

Spacey continued to tell a story about the way he felt about his first Golden Globe win Sunday evening in which he became teary-eyed.

kevin spacey golden globe

Here it is in full:

The last time that I saw Stanley Kramer — one of the great filmmakers of all time — was at the Motion Picture and Television Home, and I was sitting with him and he was in a wheelchair. He was ill at this time. And, as I was about to leave, I realized that I had never told him what I thought about his work … how much his work had meant to me. And so I said to him, the films you made, the subjects you tackled, the performances you got out of some of the greatest actors that have ever walked the face of the Earth, the Oscars you won … your films will stand the test of time and will influence filmmakers for all time.

And I didn’t know whether he had really retained what I said or not. Sometimes he did, sometimes he didn’t. But as I stood up to leave, he grabbed my hand, and I looked at his wife, who was across the room, and I sat back down. And he said as clear to me as anything he had ever said, ‘Thank you so much for saying that. That means so much to me. I just wish my films could have been better.’”

And so as I stand here tonight as someone who has enjoyed such an extraordinary career, in large measure because of the people in this room, I just want it to be better. I just want to be better, but this is very encouraging. Thank you very much.

While accepting his Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, George Clooney made sure to honor the Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris following last week’s deadly attacks.

Clooney, wearing a "'Je Suis Charlie' pin on his tuxedo," said of worldwide marches in the wake of the shootings and hostage situations in France:

"Today was an extraordinary day. They were Christians, and Jews and Muslims, they were world leaders, and they weren’t marching in protest, but in support of the idea that we will not walk in fear. We won't do it."

Clooney closed with “"Je suis Charlie," a popular phrase of support which means, "I am Charlie."

Jarded Leto also addressed the Paris attacks before presenting the Best Supporting Actress award to "Boyhood" star Patricia Arquette:

"To our brothers, sisters, friends and families in France, our thoughts, our prayers, our hearts are with you tonight. On vous aime. Je suis Charlie."

Michael Keaton Gave An Incredibly Personal Acceptance Speech About His Tough Childhood

michael keaton golden globes 2015

Michael Keaton gave an incredibly honest and emotional speech as he accepted his first Golden Globe for his performance in "Birdman."

In the film, Keaton stars as a washed-up actor who was previously best known for playing a superhero. He tries to make a comeback by starting a Broadway play.

Keaton made his way to the stage first to give thanks to director Alejandro González Iñárritu who filmed the entire movie in 30 days.

Alejandro, there's not a person in this room who won't show up for your next gig my brother. I'm telling you, just name the place, you name the time, and, not just me, there's not an actor or actress in this room who won't show up.

Thanks for being a true artist. Thanks for letting me be part of this unbelievably gutsy, unapologetic look at human nature. Thanks. It's been a ride. This cast is tremendous. The crew is tremendous. Everybody was great.

Keaton's acceptance speech then took a more personal turn as the 63-year-old actor became teary-eyed and choked up on stage as he discussed his family and mentioned his birth name, Michael Douglas.

In the household in which I was raised, the themes were pretty simple: Work hard, don't quit, be appreciative, be thankful, be grateful, be respectful, also to never whine ever, never complain, and, always, for crying out loud, keep a sense of humor.

My name's Michael John Douglas, I'm from Forest Grove, Pennsylvania. I'm the son — seventh child — of George and Leona Douglas. And I don't ever remember a time when my father didn't work two jobs. When my mother wasn't saying the rosary or going to mass or trying to take care of seven kids in a rundown farmhouse, she was volunteering at the Ohio Valley Hospital where I was born in the hallway.

I've got six wonderful brothers and sisters. I have some tremendous, tremendously loving and generous friends all over the world. My best friend is kind, intelligent, funny, talented, considerate, thoughtful — did I say kind? He also ...

At this point, Keaton stopped for a moment, fighting back tears, before continuing moments later.golden globes michael keaton

"He also happens to be my son, Sean," said Keaton.michael keaton golden globes teary eyed"I love you with all my heart, buddy. This is for 'all those people,'" he added. "Sorry, shoot. Two things I said I wasn't going to do — cry and give air quotes. Damn." michael keaton son sean"I'm so grateful, honestly, from the bottom of my heart," concluded Keaton. "You have no idea what this means to me. To come from the place where I come from, I'm proud of all of my friends and my family. Thank you very, very much. I'm extremely grateful."

George Clooney Amal Clooney Golden GlobesAfter George and Amal Clooney walked their first red carpet as a married couple at Sunday's Golden Globes, the actor was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award during the show.

During Clooney's acceptance speech, he made sure to thank his new bride, Amal, and it was swoon-worthy.

George Clooney Golden Globes

"I've had a pretty good year myself," Clooney said. "Listen, it’s humbling to find somebody to love, especially when you’ve been waiting your whole life, especially when your whole life is 53 years. Tina and Amy, start the jokes." But Clooney was not kidding around.

The camera panned to Amal, who was clearly a smitten kitten.Amal Swooning

But America's two-time "Sexiest Man Alive" didn't stop there.

Clooney continued: "Amal, whatever alchemy brought us together, I couldn’t be more proud to be your husband."

With that, the lawyer-activist batted her long, perfectly-mascaraed lashes yet again, and almost broke into a full smile this time.

Amal's table of famous friends  including Bill Murray, Cindy Crawford, and her husband Rande Gerber  then applauded the couple for finally finding each other. Jake Gyllenhaal looked especially pleased in the outfield.

During the award show's opening monologue, co-host Tina Fey teased the couple, saying:

"George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin this year. Amal is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, was an advisor to Kofi Annan regarding Syria and was selected for a three person U.N. commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza Strip. So tonight her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award."

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin tied the knot in a lavish Venice ceremony in September.

During his Golden Globes acceptance speech, Clooney also discussed how lucky he felt to even be at the awards show.

"It's always fun to come here to catch up with old friends," he said. "For the record, if you are in this room, you've caught the brass ring. You get to do what you've always dreamed to do and get celebrated for it. And that ain't losing."

But, said Clooney, it's not the awards that matter.

"I don't remember what awards Lauren Bacall won... and I have no idea what kind of hardware Robin Williams took home, but I sure remember 'Carpe Diem' and 'Seize the day, boys, make your lives extraordinary," Clooney added, referencing 'Dead Poets Society.' "I'll never forget that. So congratulations to all of you for having a very good year."

The vocal actor also addressed the deadly attacks at Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris last week.

Clooney said of the worldwide marches in the wake ofthe situation in France:
