Drake may be one of the most famous rappers alive and a friend of the Miami Heat, but he still wasn't getting into the locker room after his team won the championship last night.

The rapper tried to get into the locker room to celebrate with the team, but security denied him saying only media was allowed. To that, Drake responded "I am media," but they still didn't let him in.

Here's video from ESPN 106.3:

Of course soon after this, Drake was rapping on stage at a club called Story in Miami, and LeBron was next to him eating pizza:

Kimye Will Reportedly Call Baby North West 'Nori' For Short

Kim Kardashian Kanye West

On Thursday night, TMZ leaked — after catching a glimpse of the birth certificate from Cedars-Sinai hospital — that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West named their new baby girl "North West."

Kardashian had hinted at a directional name is past interviews, previously telling Jay Leno "I do like Easton, Easton West."

When E! News asked the pregnant reality star point blank if she planned to name her child "North," Kardashian responded "I don't know where that came from, but I actually think it's cute."

"I think our name will definitely probably be unique, but we really haven't picked a name yet," she added at the time.

"North West" fits the "unique" bill, but the family still has yet to confirm the name news.

But "inside sources" agree that the baby will be called "North West" and are telling the tabloids that Kimye's baby will be called "Nori" for short.

Nori Sushi

The dictionary describes "Nori" as "an edible seaweed often used in Japanese cookery, esp for wrapping sushi or rice balls."

Babynames.com says the meaning of the name "Nori" is belief and the origin of the name is Japanese.

Despite the nickname's Japanese origin, apparently the baby girl looks exactly like her American/Armenian mom.

Sources tell E! News that Nori "has black straight hair! Lots of it! Looks like a good mix of both [Kanye and Kim] but more like Kim. She's adorable!"

"Kanye is so in love with her," the E! source added. "He won't leave her side."

Adds an Us Weekly insider, "The baby is so sweet. Kanye is in love. Kim's real due date was July 12 -- Kanye's mom's birthday. That warmed his heart."

E! reports the new family of three left Cedars-Sinai hopital late Thursday for an undisclosed location in Los Angeles.

Desperate For More Attention, HTC Is About To Hire Robert Downey Jr. For A $12 Million Ad Campaign

Samsung's rival, HTC, has hired actor Robert Downey Jr. for a two-year global marketing campaign worth $12 million, reports Bloomberg.

Bloomberg says Downey will be featured in the new campaign as himself and not as the characters he plays in movies like Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes.

HTC has been struggling recently to gain smartphone users despite releasing its well-reviewed flagship phone, the One, this spring. It recently lost a handful of top executives too.

Last quarter, HTC posted its slimmest profit on record and its sales are down 68%. Sales aren't the only problem HTC is facing. It is also fighting an uphill battle on the marketing front because Samsung spends nearly 10 times as much.

This news come right on the heels of Samsung's announcement that it has a $5 million deal with rapper Jay-Z. Samsung will sponsor Jay-Z's newest album, "Magna Carta Holy Grail" by giving away 1 million free copies to its smartphone users.

The video, which was filmed eleven years ago, was posted on the official Sesame Street YouTube channel on Thursday, following the actor's sudden death from a heart attack.

In it, Gandolfini comforts frightened Sesame Street character Zoe, and reassures her that, "everybody gets scared sometimes".

He then confesses that he is afraid of three things; the dark, getting his hair cut and "giant talking vegetables".

Much to his dismay, a huge piece of broccoli then runs past, causing him to hide in fear, before he is comforted by a hug from Zoe, and breathes a sigh of relief.

Steve Wozniak Is One Of The Few People Who Has Met The Kimye Baby

Steve Wozniak Kim Kardashian Kanye West

In today's most bizarre celebrity friend pairings, it turns out Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is one of the few people who has had the privilege of meeting Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's new baby girl, North "Nori" West.

Woz appeared on CNN's "Piers Morgan Live" Thursday night and discussed the encounter, revealing how the meeting came about:

"I have seen a lot of babies, and a baby represents the love between the people and that meant more to me and the love that Kim was showing to Kanye. Just because he was interested in technology and companies, she, as a birthday present, she had me come up there to meet him."

Apparently, Kim was listening when Kanye — who turned 36 on June 8  told the New York Times he thinks he is the next Steve Jobs.

Here were Kanye's exact words: "I think what Kanye West is going to mean is something similar to what Steve Jobs means. I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of Internet, downtown, fashion, culture. Period. By a long jump. I honestly feel that because Steve has passed, you know, it’s like when Biggie passed and Jay-Z was allowed to become Jay-Z."

It seems both Kardashian and Woz are on board with West's vision of greatness.

"Unbelievable that a woman would do that," Woz told Piers Morgan of Kardashian scheduling a meeting between himself and the rapper. "I mean I just think she is doing everything she can to show her love to a man."

Wozniak refused to spill the details of when and where the celebrity meeting took place, but he's no stranger to being first to meet the latest and greatest.

Woz has been known to be first in line, or even head to Australia, to get the latest Apple products ahead of everyone else, too.

7 Things We Learned About Stephen King From His Reddit AMA

$

Stephen King

Stephen King took to Reddit to promote "Under the Dome" and answered questions from fans during the AMA session about anything but the new CBS series.

While fans weren't clamoring to inquire about the television adaptation of his 2009 novel of the same name, they did want to know a number of other things about the series' executive producer.

In case you were wondering, the author's favorite television show is FX's "The Americans," he deeply misses Hostess Sno Balls, is terrified of Alzheimer's disease and spiders, and his favorite piece of his own work is "Lisey's Story."

Here are 7 other things TheWrap learned about the master of horror:

King has been critical of a few of the films based on his novels, most notably Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining," so it makes sense that his favorite film or television project wasn't based on any of his pre-existing material.

"The best thing I wrote for film was the 'Storm of the Century' miniseries. That's one I still feel good about. You never get it all right, but we got most of it."

Although King is open to writing sequels to his novels, and wrote one to "The Shining," he'll never revisit 1987's horror tale "It."

"I don't think I could bear to deal with Pennywise again. Too scary, even for me."

King doesn't try to get his novels adapted for film and television -- they just are.

"I never think about movie versions when I write, because that would put a border around my thinking. I just write the stories. If someone wants to make a movie, that's fine."

Speaking of King's many, many film adaptations, ever wonder which actors were able to best portray his particular vision for the characters they played?

"I'd say the four boys who played the kids in 'Stand By Me.' River Phoenix was a standout."

Electronic readers like Amazon's Kindle and Apple's iPad may be continually rising in popularity, but King will never give up on paper. For good reason, too.

"I like stories. The delivery system isn't as important to me as a good story. I will say this: if you drop a book into the toilet, it doesn't short out. And a lot of us read in the bathroom!"

The man loves his classic rock. Just not Led Zeppelin.

"Favorite musical act of all time? Probably Creedence Clearwater Revival. But AC/DC is close...and The Temptations...the Stones...ah, man, don't get me started. Just not Led Zeppelin."

For all the aspiring writers out there, there's only one way to deal with rejection from publishers. And it's certainly not giving up.

"I just went on to the next story -- there's no way to deal with rejection other than to continue on, banging on the door."

The Scary Reality Of What Happens If You Go Weeks Without Sleep

$

Michael Jackson

An expert witness in the Michael Jackson trial said Thursday that the musician had gone 60 days without sleep, which inevitably lead to his death.

Most of us have gone a night or two with little or no sleep, but to go weeks or months without sleep seems unimaginable.

Lack of sleep can cause confusion, dizziness, headaches, and in extreme cases, death.

Real people without sleep

In a reddit thread, 1fmzai asked, "what's the longest you've gone without sleep?". Here are some of the answers from normal people about how it felt to not sleep for extreme amounts of time.

Reddit user retloc11tee says he went without sleep for almost a month:

Almost a month. Had insomnia for no reason I could figure out. Luckily Fight Club and American Beauty had just come out on VHS tape. I watched them both about 20 some times. I was unemployed at the time so I just kinda laid on the couch in a zombie like haze. I started to get really mad and frustrated about the whole thing toward the end of the month. I decided I was going to drink myself to sleep. It worked, I slept for about a day and a half. The next night I slept normally. I haven't had another incident since. It's been about 12 years.

Another user pattop says he looked like a zombie after a few weeks of insomnia:

I had insomnia when I was going through a separation. I slept but only about 15-20 minutes a day of real sleep. Lasted about 3-4 weeks. Some people said I looked like death others just did a double take stare like they saw a zombie. My mind would race and I would start questioning my whole worthiness as a human. Then when that passed I would just get pissed that I couldn't sleep. Throw bed sheets and pillows around. Swear at the way the human mind f*cks with you. It was a great time. Finally went to the doctor for some meds. Found that xanax and a couple drinks works better than actual sleep aids. Although I also learned that you either sit or lay down after you gobble the xanax down. Got in an argument once with the ex wife 30 minutes after popping 2 xanax and having several drinks. Managed to fall up the steps. The way the movie Insomnia is done gives you an accurate uneasiness and mania feeling that comes with is actual Insomnia.

Breaking records

Some people have stayed up even longer.

Tyler Shields, a LA-based photographer documented his experiment to go without sleep for 40 days. He was trying to set a world record, but Guinness wouldn't recognize his feat because it was too dangerous and too hard to prove.

He claims he trained for months to perform the feat, and was under 24 hour watch.

He also doesn't sleep as much as normal people even when he's not trying to break a record.

"A lot of people say, 'This is impossible, you can't do this,'" Shields told AOL News in 2010, when he performed his feat. "If I was a normal person that slept every night, then I would agree with those people. But in my normal life, I only sleep one to two nights a week — that's my normal. That's my every day."

He experienced bad fevers, leg numbness, severe headaches, eye aches, and had to pee a lot, according to AOL News. His usually sharp memory was frazzled.

"It's not even a struggle to stay awake — it's that everything else is a struggle," he told AOL. "I took a shower this morning and it was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. When the water was hitting me, I felt like I was being stabbed. I have to think about breathing, I have to think about moving."

Though he might have slept for small amounts of time during his feat — called microsleeps – he definitely didn't get any REM sleep. When he finally did go to sleep it took him 8 hours to fall asleep.

When insomnia is fatal

When sleep loss is at its extreme, it can definitely lead to death.

A condition called Fatal Familiar Insomnia, which according to Wikipedia "involves progressively worsening insomnia, which leads to hallucinations, delirium, and confusional states like that of dementia. The average survival span for patients diagnosed with FFI after the onset of symptoms is 18 months." The disease affects only about 100 people.

“Extended periods of wakefulness are associated with poor health outcomes, and animals subjected to sleep deprivation have resulted in death… There is a disorder called Fatal Familial Insomnia. As part of the progression of the disorder, the person is not able to sleep and death usually occurs within a few months to a few years,” sleep physician Vikas Wadhwa told the Epoch times in 2008.

The disease has four stages, taking 7 to 18 months to run its course:

  1. The patient suffers increasing insomnia, resulting in panic attacks, paranoia, and phobias. This stage lasts for about four months.
  2. Hallucinations and panic attacks become noticeable, continuing for about five months.
  3. Complete inability to sleep is followed by rapid loss of weight. This lasts for about three months.
  4. Dementia, during which the patient becomes unresponsive or mute over the course of six months. This is the final progression of the disease, after which death follows.

It isn't known what was causing Michael Jackson to lose sleep, but he definitely would have felt the effects of his insomnia after 60 days.

Miley Cyrus Wiz Khalifa funny face sticking tongue out

Miley Cyrus officially shed her teen queen Disney image this week when she released the raunchy new music video for her latest single, party anthem "We Can't Stop."

But apparently there was something else the 20-year-old former "Hannah Montana" star was going for, too: a "black" sound to the song.

Brothers Timothy and Theron Thomas — the songwriting and producing duo behind Cyrus' summer anthem — revealed to Vibe the singer told them "I want urban, I just want something that just feels Black.”

Timothy went on to explain, "When you listen to the Miley Cyrus record that we did, it's not ratchet but it definitely has a lot of urban feel to it."

The brothers also revealed that Cyrus was given the track after Rihanna passed. But it definitely has a Rihanna feel.

Nonetheless, party-loving Cyrus immediately clicked with the song and embraced it as her own. Theron says of her initial reaction to the track:

"They played it for Miley and she had just come from partying. She was like, 'I was just partying with my friends and everything you just said in this song I seen. I was looking at it from standing on a couch with my friends, just chilling in the cut and looking around the club like whoa...I’m hearing the song like that was my weekend. I have to do this song,' [she said] and then we just got connected from there."

Paula Deen Releases Video Apology Over Racism Scandal: 'I Beg For Your Forgiveness'

Food Network star Paula Deen has released a pretty awkward video apology in response to the racism scandal that hit this week.

The video was posted to her YouTube channel Friday afternoon, but has been set to "private" twice since then.

Deen is being sued by the former manager of her Georgia restaurant Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House, who claims there was a culture of racial harassment at the restaurant. Comments from a May court deposition went viral earlier this week.

"I want to apologize to everybody for the wrong that I've done," she said. "I want to learn and grow from this. Inappropriate, hurtful language it totally, totally unacceptable. ... I beg you, my children, my team, my fans, my partners, I beg for your forgiveness."

Deen cancelled a scheduled appearance on the "Today" show Friday morning in which she was supposed to sit down for a one-on-one with Matt Lauer.

After the cooking star flew to New York Thursday night, "Her publicity people have told us that she's exhausted and will not be showing up," said Lauer on-air, relaying that Deen had told him the day before: "I don't know how to be anything but honest."

Lauer tweeted Friday:

Deen is also in hot water Friday for allegedly failing to turn over a blooper reel — in a $1.2 million sexual harassment lawsuit — in which she is said to perform a sexual act on a chocolate eclair and swear up a storm, according to RadarOnline.

Justin Bieber's Gated Community Is Furious With His Friends

Justin Bieber and his posse are wreaking havoc on a gated community in Los Angeles county.

Residents of The Oaks of Calabasas say Bieber "ignores posted speed limits, homeowners association laws, and pretty much all the rules of life in a gated community," The Los Angeles Times reports.

Thursday, neighbors videotaped Bieber's housemates, Lil Za and Lil Twist, burning rubber in a black Range Rover and white Ferrari, both Bieber's cars.

The footage, acquired by TMZ, shows the vehicles pass the neighbors' car in the oncoming traffic lane and blow past the 25 MPH limit.

Once they arrived at the Oaks community's gate, Lil Za got out of the SUV and confronted the blonde surbanite and her phone-camerawoman. The driver said Lil Za was speeding and is not a resident.

"I live with Justin Bieber and you know I do," Lil Za said, before cussing the woman out.

Watch the footage below.

Since Bieber moved into the quiet community of Calabasas last year, the 19-year-old pop singer has subjected its residents to loud parties, throngs of paparazzi, news helicopters hovering overhead, and similiar road incidents, reports the LA Times.

Bieber reportedly sped down a road where neighbor and NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson's daughter was playing. An infuriated Johnson gave TMZ a piece of his mind.

Bieber, who was cleared of hit-and-run accusations earlier this week, lives in an exclusive nook of the Oaks community called The Estates. His $6.5 million dollar home includes five bedrooms and a movie theater with stadium seating, according to Forbes magazine.

Homes in The Estates list for $7 to $12 million.

"People come for peace, quiet and normalcy in their lives," Calabasas Mayor Fred Gaines said. "It's out of the limelight."

Surely, residents are anxiously waiting for Bieber to trade in his Ferrari for a seat on the Virgin Galactic space shuttle.

Paula Deen Releases Another Video Apologizing For Matt Lauer Snub

First Paula Deen offended everyone by using the N-word.

Then she snubbed Matt Lauer by canceling on him just moments before their sit down interview on Friday's "Today" show.

Lauer tweeted:

After posting a video apology for her racist slurs earlier today, Deen just released another video apologizing to Lauer for being a no-show at the last minute.

Here's her emotional excuse:

"Hello y'all, I'm Paula Deen. I was invited this morning to speak with Matt Lauer about a subject that has been very hurtful for a lot of people. Matt, I have to say, I was physically not able this morning. The pain has been tremendous that I have caused to myself and to others so I'm taking this opportunity with you all now that I've pulled myself together and am able to speak to offer an apology to those who I have hurt. My family are not the kind of people the press say we are."

She goes on to give a less-scripted, less-edited apology than her original video statement.

It's also done in very poor lighting with paper towels and soda cans strewn about in the background. Seriously, where is Paula Deen's publicist?

Food Network Drops Paula Deen

Paula Deen

The Food Network has dropped Paula Deen from its lineup, according to Talking Points Memo reporter Hunter Walker.

Several other news outlets including the Associated Press have since confirmed the news.

Here's the statement from a spokesman: "Food Network will not renew Paula Deen's contract when it expires at the end of this month."

Deen has been under fire this week for apparently making racist comments. She's being sued by the former manager of her Georgia restaurant, Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House, and a lawsuit deposition came out earlier this week that included some incriminating quotes from Deen.

She released two videos this afternoon on YouTube apologizing for her mistakes and for canceling a planned Today show appearance this morning.

This isn't the first scandal Deen has faced. She was heavily criticized when people found out that she had type 2 diabetes and had been hiding it from her fans and bosses at the Food Network. She didn't come clean until she signed a seven-figure endorsement deal with drug company Novo Nordisk.

Deen is best known for her very calorie-heavy, Southern dishes.

She also works with the QVC network, and it's unclear whether they still plan to continue their relationship with her.

Paula Deen

On Friday, Paula Deen was put on the chopping block at the Food Network and fired after admitting she used the N-word.

Instead of talking — which has caused quite the controversy for the Southern TV chef — Deen should have just stuffed her mouth shut with one of her calorie-filled dishes.

Chocolate pizza, butter cake ice cream, and Krispy Kreme pudding. Welcome to Paula Deen’s recipes, where Candyland gumdrop dreams come to fruition.

If you’ve ever skimmed through the 121 recipe pages on Paula Deen’s website, you’ll come across some ridiculous concoctions.

We’ve skimmed through the more than 3,000 food offerings and picked out 10 of her unhealthiest recipes.

Get 'em while they're hot.

10. Tastes Like Lasagna Soup

Now, you can take your lasagna on the go. In case, you know, you ever wanted to drink meat and cheese out of a thermos.

9. Peanut Butter Cup Brownie S'mores

Have you ever wanted to ingest a cup of butter?

When the recipe begins with, “1 cup butter, softened, plus more for baking dish,” we can already feel our arteries clogging.

8. Cheese on the Cob

Deen tells us this is what summer tastes like:

“Spread a thick layer of mayonnaise on corn, and dust with cheese, chili powder, salt, and pepper.”

No, Deen. This is what a heart attack feels like.
