ESPN Anchor Hannah Storm Returns After Suffering First-Degree Burns From Grill Explosion

ESPN anchor Hannah Storm returned to work yesterday to host the Rose Bowl Parade for the first time since she was badly burned when her propane gas grill exploded on December 11, according to the AP. 

Storm lost half of her hair and had first- and second-degree burns on her hands, face, chest and neck.

Storm was grilling dinner for her kids and tried to relight her grill after the wind blew it out when there was an explosion. The ESPN anchor told co-host Josh Elliot at the Rose Bowl Parade, that there was a "wall of fire, like something you see in a movie," and then she noticed that she was on fire.

Storm's daughter, Hannah Beth, called 911. When Storm finally saw herself in the mirror for the first time she said she looked completely disfigured. But just three weeks later, Storm hosted the Rose Bowl Parade for her fifth year in a row after spending hours getting hair extensions and her make-up done.
