Awards season is well underway, and we thought it was time we gave out some of our own.
Breakouts, after all, are the most exciting part of the star cycle — who doesn't love to come out of a movie going, "Who was that girl?"
And this year's up-and-comers didn't disappoint.
Let's just get this out of the way: 2011 belonged to "Bridesmaids" powerhouse Melissa McCarthy.

Chris Hemsworth aka Thor was the only new guy on IMDB's list of most-viewed actors. His turn in 2012's "Snow White and the Huntsmen" should secure his stardom.

Octavia Spencer made herself known in "The Help" — no small feat when you're next to Viola Davis — and was rewarded with a Golden Globe nod.
