Game of Thrones, Mountain, HBO

He's known to "Game of Thrones" fans as the eye-gouging titan "The Mountain."

But Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is also one of the strongest people in the world.

As the Icelandic actor and strongman prepares to compete in this year's World's Strongest Man competition, he revealed on Facebook what his current diet looks like.

Get ready to be amazed. Here's what Björnsson is eating every day, in his own words. We recommend that you don't attempt this — unless you are 6 feet 9 inches, weigh 395 pounds, and like to toss beer kegs and pull tractors.

Ted Cruz on North Carolina bathroom law: 'This isn't about the Caitlyn Jenners of the world'

Sen. Ted Cruz on Sunday attempted to refute prominent transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner's criticism of the senator's support for a controversial North Carolina bathroom law.

In a video earlier this week, Jenner used the women's restroom in the Trump International Hotel in Manhattan.

Jenner was partially responding to Cruz's support for a North Carolina law that restricts the use of public bathrooms to individuals of the same biological sex, which essentially bars transgender individuals from using bathrooms that conform with their expressed gender identity.

"Thank you, Donald. I really appreciate it. By the way, Ted, nobody got molested," Jenner said, referring to Republican candidates Donald Trump and Cruz.

In a Sunday CNN interview, Cruz said Jenner wasn't his concern.

"This is the height of political correctness," Cruz said. "Frankly, the concern is not the Caitlyn Jenners in the world. But if the law is such that any man if he feels like it can go in a women's restroom and you can't ask him to leave, that opens the door for predators."

Host Jake Tapper pushed back, saying that the law would not make it any easier for male predators to go into female restrooms.

"I don't think that's what the law is," Tapper said. "You and I don't identify as female. You and I aren't transgender. This law wouldn't be about you and me going to a women's room."

"The law doesn't specify transgender. It's whatever you feel like at the given moment," Cruz responded.

Cruz is one of the only major presidential candidates left in the field who has expressed outright support for North Carolina's law.

Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders both oppose the law, while the Republican presidential frontrunner Trump argued that he did not support the law because he believed it could be damaging to businesses.

The Jungle Book

Disney's "The Jungle Book" continues to own the box office as it stays at number one for a third consecutive week with an estimated $42.4 million, according to pro.boxoffice.com.

This marks the eighth weekend Disney has been number one at the box office in 2016.

"The Jungle Book" has now grossed over $250 million domestically and things will only get better for Disney going forward as they release Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" next weekend.

"Civil War" has already opened in numerous foreign markets, taking in over $200 million. It's likely we'll see a similar opening weekend figure when it opens domestically.

New releases "Keanu" and "Mother's Day" were no match as they took in an estimated $9.35 million and $8.30 million, respectively.

Summer movie power rankings_captain america civil war

For Hollywood studios, the time between May and August can make or break a year.

Blockbusters have become the lifeblood of the studio system. The popularity of comic-book adaptations and sequels released in the summer led to a record-breaking 2015 at the box office (with a little help from “Star Wars” later in the year).

As we prepare for another summer-movie onslaught, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to break down the most anticipated titles and what has the best shot at getting to the top of the heap.

Compiling box-office projections, our own poll of readers, and the hype machine, here's our ranking of the biggest summer movies of 2016.

SEE ALSO: 41 movies you have to see this summer

10. “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” (May 20)

One of the few comedies to crack the top 10 in our power ranking, this sequel is riding the wave of love for the first "Neighbors" from 2014, and the charm of Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, and Rose Byrne combined.

The movie came in third in a survey of most anticipated summer comedies by the country’s largest movie ticket seller, Fandango.

And with the original taking in over $150 million at the box office, there’s certainly a fan base who will run to its opening weekend — that’s evident with over 13 million having viewed the trailer on YouTube.

9. “Alice Through the Looking Glass” (May 27)

Though it doesn’t have the instant draw of other family-friendly titles coming out this summer, the sequel to Tim Burton’s 2010 “Alice in Wonderland” promises to be visually stunning and wacky.

Burton is only in the producer role this time around, but with Johnny Depp returning as the Mad Hatter and Mia Wasikowska as Alice, it's the third-most-anticipated family movie, according to the Fandango survey.

Wth the original earning over $1 billion worldwide at the box office in 2010, don’t be surprised if this “Alice” sequel becomes a major earner for Disney this year.

8. “Central Intelligence” (June 17)

There are no two actors more on the rise than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart, so pairing them together in a film makes a lot of sense.

Both have an incredible reach on social media, and their previous movies have had impressive earnings.

Opening the same weekend as “Finding Dory” won’t affect the film's box office since the audience is different, and if it can bring something new to the buddy-comedy genre, this could be a sleeper hit of the summer.

Tracy Morgan remembers the time he got thrown out of a party at Prince's house

Tracy Morgan was once kicked out of a star-studded party at Prince's house.

The comedian considers himself a Prince superfan since the 1982 album "1999."

He told Billboard magazine that the singer's 1985 song "Condition of the Heart" helped him through the grief of his father's death.

"I remember when my pops died [in 1987]," he said. "I listened to 'Condition of the Heart' as soon as we got back from the burial, for 24 hours [in a row]. That was the last song I said, 'Dad, listen to this!' And my father said, 'That's a good record.'"

Fast-forward to about 2009: Morgan said he boarded a bus to a party at Prince's then home in Los Angeles. "Jennifer Lopez, everybody was on this bus," he said.

At the party, Prince performed for his guests in the living room. And there was plenty of alcohol flowing, which Morgan said he certainly took advantage of.

But it seems the "30 Rock" alum overstayed his welcome:

At the end of the night, me and my boy Bradley were drunk. We had these two girls on the sofa and we were talking, joking, laughing. Prince and his wife came downstairs and they had on purple pajamas. He said, "Tracy, get the f--- out!" As I walked out the door, I grabbed him by the back of the neck and I pulled him close to me. I noticed that mole on his face — he was so pretty, I turned gay for about five seconds — and I said, "My father loved 'When Doves Cry.'" And he said, "Yeah, yeah. Just get the f--- out."

On how Prince influenced the comedian, Morgan said, "He was free, he came from the heart. He was talking about making love. He was a sexy man!"

This is the demographic Hollywood is ignoring, according to Hulu

$

East Los High Season 2Hulu maintains a massive library of over 3,000 TV shows, and one of its big tasks is deciding which shows to license.

That means Hulu spends a lot of time poring over different data points, including how much shows are pirated, according to VP of content acquisitions, Lisa Holme.

Holme reviews a hefty number of shows.

So are there any shows that TV networks aren’t producing that she wishes they would?

Holme says she’s found that one particular group tends to be underserved by current TV offerings: young bilingual Latino audiences who primarily like to watch shows in English. These are people who, though they are of Latino heritage, don’t necessarily like to watch every show in Spanish. They are more likely to watch Family Guy than Spanish-language programming, she says.

That is one reason why Hulu created “East Los High” in 2013, an English-language show that “centers around romance, dance, and the struggle of a group of Latino teens living in East Los Angeles.” The show has been renewed for a fourth season.

Hulu is by no means the first to go after this market, both in television and the media more broadly. But it has not proved easy for some.

Reaching a young, bilingual Latino audience was the purpose behind the initial conception of Fusion, a joint project between Univision and Disney’s ABC, which launched in 2013. But a few months after launch, Univision execs pivoted to brand Fusion as a destination for all ethnicities, and not focus on Latinos. This irked Disney, which recently sold its 50% stake to Univision, according to the LA Times.

Fusion has lost “tens of millions of dollars for Univision and ABC,” the LA Times reports.

But Holme characterized "East Los High" as a great success for Hulu, which seems reflected in the company’s continued support for the show as it enters its fourth season.

HBO made a lot of fans very happy with the second episode of the sixth season, "Home."

No doubt, several big moments will stand out for fans. But what about the ones that you may have missed?

No worries, Business Insider has your back.

Hey, Jon Snow said that once.

As part of Bran's (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) teachings, "Thrones" did a rare flashback. In it, Ned Stark is teaching his brother sword fighting when he tells him, "Keep your shield up, or I'll ring your head like a bell." In the behind-the-episode segment, the producers said they did this to help reset the stakes and to remind Bran what he's going through is for.

We've heard that line before, though. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) said the very same thing to Olly (Brenock O'Connor) last season while training him. This could be taken as an early foreshadowing of Jon's return.

Who were those Stark loyalists?

As Davos (Liam Cunningham) and the other men prepared to defend Jon Snow's body from his Night's Watch enemies, Edd (Ben Crompton) returned just in time with some backup. He was joined by the Wildlings, with whom Jon Snow had forged an alliance. They were led by Free Folk leader Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) and a very helpful Wun Weg Wun Dar Wun (Ian Whyte), the giant.

Fans actually hate Ramsay more than Joffrey.

Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) definitely made some big moves on this episode, and they aren't going to win him the most popular prize from fans. He killed his father, but eh, the guy was terrible anyway. But in order to safeguard his claim to the throne, he also killed his newly born half-brother and his mother.

There's a special place for baby killers, and it's called Twitter:

Most 'Biggest Loser' winners regain the weight they lost, and it reveals a disturbing truth behind many diets

Biggest Loser

If you've ever felt the crushing disappointment of getting back on a scale and finding your weight back where you started after several months on a successful diet, then you already know:

Losing weight is hard work, but keeping it off is harder.

To find out why, Kevin Hall, a researcher at the National Institutes of Health, began following contestants on the TV show "The Biggest Loser," a reality show in which overweight people compete to win cash by losing the most relative to their initial weight. A study he wrote in 2013 showed that, after returning home, contestants were highly likely to begin slowly gaining back the weight they'd worked so hard to lose.

A recent story in The New York Times looks into a more recent study by Hall, which appears to confirm his preliminary findings. Out of 14 contestants he studied, 13 have regained weight. Four contestants are heavier today than they were before the competition began.

The reason? The body fights really hard against weight loss, especially in the months and years after you finish a grueling diet and exercise plan. And this happens, at least partially, because of a series of complex biological changes that occur when you diet.

These findings aren't new. In fact, other researchers have been emphasizing some of Hall's main findings for years.

For example, Traci Mann, a University of Minnesota psychologist and eating researcher, has said that a central problem of most weight-loss plans is that they're designed simply to help you lose weight quickly, not to keep it off for longer.

Plus, the very act of dieting — restricting the amount of calories you take in on a daily basis — unleashes a series of shifts in the body that make it incredibly tough to keep the weight off. These are the changes on which Hall's study are based.

Some of them include:

1. Your hormones levels change, often making you feel hungrier no matter how much you eat

Losing weight affects the presence of several key hormones in the body. One of them is leptin, one of several hormones that control hunger.

The Times reports that in the years after "The Biggest Loser," contestants reported near-constant feelings of hunger and cravings, which often led some to binge after they'd succeeded in sticking to a healthy eating regimen for several weeks.

While all of the contestants started the show with normal levels of leptin, the levels of this hormone plummeted by the time the show ended, The Times reports: "By the season’s finale, they had almost no leptin at all, which would have made them ravenous all the time." And as they slowly began regaining weight, leptin levels rose a little, but got stuck at about half of what they'd been at the start of the show — which would help explain why they felt such strong urges to eat.

"As you lose body fat, the amount of different hormones in your body changes," Mann told The Washington Post in 2015. "The hormones that help you feel full ... decrease. The hormones that make you feel hungry ... increase."

2. Your metabolism slows down, and more of what you eat gets stored as fat

When you diet, you're effectively convincing your body that it is starving, Mann said. Your body responds by running as efficiently as it can — i.e., burning the fewest calories possible.

This shift "would be a good thing if you're starving to death," said Mann. "But it isn't a good thing if you're trying to lose weight."

3. Your brain becomes more aware of food

In addition to all of the physiological changes that happen during a diet that make it tough to keep off weight, some people also apparently experience psychological changes that could contribute to the struggle.

"Your brain becomes overly responsive to food, and especially to tasty looking food," said Mann, "so the thing you're trying to resist becomes harder to resist."

A 2013 study showed food to people who had dieted and people who hadn't, and then compared their brain scans. Unlike the non-dieters, the dieters tended to show a heightened response in the areas of their brains linked with processing rewards, and a lowered response in the parts of their brains linked with a sense of control.

Biological changes don't mean that long-term weight loss is impossible

Woman Doing YogaNone of this means a doomsday scenario for people trying to lose weight, though.

Instead, it points out the problems with focusing entirely on changing what you eat rather than taking into account other behavioral patterns.

These include when you eat, how much you exercise, and whether or not your friends and family members support your health goals. These factors, often lumped together under the term "behavior modification," are the focus of programs like Weight Watchers, for example, and they workfor thousandsof people.

"Most of us know people — friends, family members, colleagues — who have lost weight and kept it off for years by changing the way they eat and boosting their physical activity," writes David H. Freedman, a consulting editor at Johns Hopkins Medicine International, in a post for the Columbia Journalism Review.

"They can't all be freaks of biology," says Freedman.

Remus Lupin harry potter warner bros

"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling kept her tradition of apologizing and explaining one death on the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts on Monday.

The bloody battle saw Voldemort's forces descend on Harry Potter, his teachers, his classmates, and the secret society of wizards against Voldemort, The Order of the Phoenix.

This year, Rowling chose to explain why Remus Lupin "had to die."

Professor Lupin was a friend of Harry Potter's parents while they attended Hogwarts, and became one of Harry's substitute parents. He was also a werewolf, having been bitten by the werewolf Greyback at a young age. He died during the Battle of Hogwarts. His death hit fans especially hard, because his wife Tonks also died, leaving their young son an orphan.

Rowling said Lupin's fate was attached to another character, Arthur Weasley. Arthur was Harry Potter's best friend Ron's father.

Last year, on this day, Rowling apologized for killing Fred Weasley during the Battle, which she said was the "worst [death] for me, so I started with him.”

Prince's notorious vault of unreleased music has been drilled open

Prince was one of the last truly enigmatic music superstars, and one myth stood above all others for his fans: the vault.

The late musician was known for his prolific creative output (he had a recording studio in his massive Minnesota complex), and much of it never saw the light of day, instead getting stashed away in a vault.

Now that vault has been drilled open by Bremer Trust, the financial institution given temporary control over Prince's estate, since he did not have a will, according to ABC News.

Apparently only Prince himself had the code to the vault, which was locked shut with a large spinning wheel. Susan Rogers, Prince's former recording engineer, told "Good Morning America" that shelves filled up quickly in the giant room.

"We could put out more work in a month than most people could do in a year or more," she said.

There's reportedly so much unheard material in the vault, we could be listening to a new Prince album every year for the next century. That would make Prince by far the most active posthumous artist ever — and it could reshape his entire legacy.

"One day, someone will release them," Prince previously said of the treasure trove of music on "The View" back in 2012. "I don't know that I'll get to release them. There's just so many."

It's anyone's guess how the music will eventually come out, as command of Prince's estate will likely transfer from Bremer to Prince's sister Tyka Nelson and his half-siblings. But you can rest assured it'll come out, one way or another — no one would let that stay hidden away.

After years of rumors, it looks like we're one step closer to having a sequel to the Michael Jordan-starring 1996 live-action/animated movie "Space Jam."

This time LeBron James will be the lead and "Fast and Furious 6" director Justin Lin will be directing, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sources say the project is in the early stages with Lin and screenwriter Andrew Dodge working on a script.

Chatter about the sequel became a hot topic again when James, who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers and is arguably the best basketball player on the planet, signed a partnership with Warner Bros. to create TV, film, and digital content.

The idea of James taking on the film then became even more realistic after the universally positive reaction he got playing a version of himself in the comedy "Trainwreck."

The original film, in which Jordan plays basketball with many memorable Looney Tunes characters, was a breakthrough in melding live action and animation, and it earned over $230 million at the box office.

The best action movie out right now cost just $5 million to make, and is more intense than anything by Marvel or Disney

Green Room Movie

The big summer blockbusters are starting to roll out, but the best action movie you can see in theaters today has gotten a lot less hype than "The Jungle Book" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

"Green Room," directed by Jeremy Saulnier, was shot on a budget of just $5 million, according to Vox. This pales in comparison to the $175 million spent on "The Jungle Book" and the $250 million needed for "Batman v Superman."

But "Green Room" provides nonstop thrills, from its bloody start to its even bloodier ending. The film has received positive reviews in film festivals and generous critical praise, yet continues to see a smaller audience than it deserves.

Here's why you need to watch "Green Room" when it hits your local multiplex:

The premise is gripping

A punk band, living from cheap gig to cheap gig, reluctantly takes a job at a neo-Nazi-run bar in Oregon. The crowd is raucous, but the show goes well. After witnessing a murder backstage, however, the band is held hostage and finds itself at war with an army of skinheads.

This is a movie of counterculture vs. counterculture.

Green Room Movie

It doesn't feel like any movie made today

"Green Room" takes place in the present. Characters use cellphones, which actually end up being part of the film's most inciting incident. But the movie feels like it's from a completely different era.

Movies about punk bands are rare these days, let alone ones that uses violence this graphically. "Green Room" evokes survival-based horror classics like "Deliverance" and "Straw Dogs." But while those movies are about civilization creeping in on the uncivilized, this one is about two fringe groups, one worse than the other, butting heads.

It's a great movie to experience with a crowd

There are two types of movies that are vastly improved by a live audience's reaction: comedy and horror. "Green Room" contains a little of both. It is great on its own, but really feeds off the energy of a crowd.

Patrick Stewart Green Room

One such scene in particular is the moment when the band members and their new friend-by-circumstance Amber (Imogen Poots) have a standoff on opposite sides of a door, as the bar's owner (Patrick Stewart) stands on one side, promising to let them leave unharmed if they surrender. Like much of the movie, the scene is unbearably tense, so expect to hear a lot of screaming and shouting in your theater.

The characters are great

If Saulnier were a bad director, it would feel like this movie was created simply for shock value. Luckily, with just two other films under his belt ("Murder Party" and "Blue Ruin"), he is one of the best filmmakers working today. Besides his eye for action, Saulnier creates characters you really come to care about.

Saulnier was actually in a punk band at one point in his life, and you feel that a lot of the movie draws from this.

Except for the flesh-eating dogs, of course.

Sure, this is a small movie and you might just want to wait until it comes out On Demand. But this is the sort of rare film you should rush out to see on the big screen.

Just prepare yourself for some gore.

"Green Room" is now playing nationwide.

Hollywood has gotten even worse at portraying LGBT characters, study says

$

Get Hard Warner Bros

Hollywood has always been bad at representing LGBT characters, but it looks like 2015 was a new low.

A study by GLAAD of 126 studio movies released in 2015 found that only 22 titles (17.5 percent) had characters identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender. And of those, 73 percent gave less than 10 minutes of screen time to the LGBT character.

That measly 17.5 percent is the same as in 2014. But what turned out to be worse in 2015 is those 22 titles that included LGBT characters had a historic low rating in the “Vito Russo test,” which is what GLAAD created to rate how an LGBT character is portrayed in a movie (character not solely defined by their sexual orientation, character tied to the plot, etc.).

Among the worst offenders in 2015 were two Kevin Hart movies, “Get Hard” and “The Wedding Ringer.” The study stated that the films “contain more blatant and incessant gay panic humor than we have seen in a Hollywood film in years.”

20th Century Fox, Lionsgate Entertainment, Sony Columbia Pictures, and Universal Pictures all received ratings of "Adequate," while Paramount Pictures, Walt Disney Studios, and Warner Bros. all received a "Failing" grade for their portrayals of LGBT people.

No studio received a rating of “Good.”

The 20 best-selling games of the last year

DyinglightWe now know the 20 best-selling games of 2015, thanks to the Entertainment Software Association's annual report on the state of the video game industry.

The ESA's list comes from data gathered by the NPD group, a market research group that's been keeping track of game sales for years. The NPD tracks monthly sales of video games, but doesn't release those reports publicly.

It should come as no surprise that most of the best-sellers are recent titles in long-running game franchises — in a couple of cases multiple games from the same franchise made the cut. When you break them down by rating, half of the best-selling games are rated M for Mature, seven are rated E or E10+, and only three are rated T, highlighting the split between the two major demographics driving video game sales.

Ordered from lowest to highest, these are the 20 best-selling games of the past year.

This 'Game of Thrones' star says he still thinks Jon Snow might be dead

While it appeared as if "Game of Thrones" finally brought closure on the much-debated question of Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) fate, one cast member is inserting some doubt.

"I can't honestly say. I still reckon he’s dead," Isaac Hempstead-Wright, who plays Bran Stark, told Business Insider when we asked Monday about his role in the storyline's cover-up.

On Sunday's episode, Melisandre (Carice van Houten) got her mojo back and conducted a spell that appeared to bring Jon Snow back to life.

Hempstead-Wright returned to the show on Sunday's episode after sitting out season five. During his hiatus, the actor said he knew as much about Jon Snow as the fans did.

"I saw that he died at the end of season five," the actor said. "And I thought, 'Well, that happens at the end of the books anyway, so no surprise there.' And then, we got the scripts for season six. But we still don’t know too much; he’s only opened his eyes. It’s just like ‘Game of Thrones’ to dangle carrots in front of our eyes and then snatch them away cruelly."

So the players behind HBO's fantasy hit are still sending mixed signals.

Maybe Hempstead-Wright is just getting deep into character. The actor believes that Bran, the eldest legitimate Stark, has embarked on a new path that doesn't include his siblings. The character has been honing his magical powers under the tutelage of the Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow).

"I think Bran has given up any hope for a reunion with the Starks, or any character for that matter," he said. "I think he has risen above the basics of getting back together, regrouping, and working something out, because it's been hammered into Bran that he's got a responsibility in the wider world of Westeros, a responsibility that may be quite massive."

Few things have the power to transport people as the cinema.

Who can forget Robert Williams' "Good morning, Vietnam" to Marine Corps DI Hartman's memorable quotes.

The following list is of our favorite military movies.

The Longest Day (1962)

The Longest Day tells the story of heroism and loss that marked the Allies' successful completion of the Normandy Landings on D-Day during World War II.

The film stands out due to its attention to detail, as it employed many Axis and Allied D-Day participants as advisors for how to depict the D-Day landings in the movie.

Lawrence Of Arabia (1962)

Based on the exploits of British Army Lieutenant T. E. Lawrence during World War I, Lawrence of Arabia tells the story of Lawrence's incredible activities in the Middle East. The film captures both Lawrence's daring, his struggles with the horrific violence of World War I, and the incredible British role in the foundation of the modern Middle East and Saudi Arabia.

The Great Escape (1963)

The Great Escape is based on a novel of the same name, which was a non-fiction account of a mass escape from a German prison camp in Poland during World War II. The film follows several British German prisoners of war as they try to escape from the Nazis and make their way back to Allied-controlled territory.
