Jimmy Kimmel mocks Hillary Clinton's critics by 'mansplaining' public speaking to her

Hillary Clinton took a stab at pleasing those who have critiqued her speaking style — and made a point of her own — with some help from Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday night.

During the segment, Kimmel offered to give the Democratic presidential candidate some pointers from a man's point of view — in other words, he did some "mansplaining."

"I feel like I'm going to be your secret weapon now," the late-night host declared to Clinton. "I'm going to help you win this election, no problem."

When Kimmel asked Clinton if she knew what "mansplaining" is, she answered, "That's when a man explains something to a woman in a patronizing way."

The host then corrected her: "Actually, it's when a man explains something to a woman in a condescending way, but you were close."

Kimmel asked Clinton to stand behind a podium and give a speech just as she'd do at a rally. He then offered his male-oriented advice, from her outfit, to how loudly she spoke, and even her smile.

"Don't smile like that, because it's too forced. It's like you're faking it," he told Clinton. "Ask yourself, 'Do I want to be president or do I want to be a Lakers girl?'"

"Is that a real choice?" Clinton responded.

Clearly, this was Kimmel and Clinton's tongue-in-cheek way of addressing critics who go after her presentation. The former Secretary of State has been subjected to a lot of scrutiny about her choice of outfits, her speaking style, and even when and how she should smile. Arguably, these are critiques that the male politicians don't typically have to deal with.

Critics brutally took down 'Batman v Superman' — here are the problems they had with it

Though "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will most likely make a lot of money this weekend at the box office (projections of about $160 million), most critics didn't enjoy the 2-1/2-hour battle between Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill).

A big reason for that? A lot of the movie doesn't deliver on what the title promises. But there are also a lot of other issues.

With a rating of only 30% on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, this was not how the film's studio, Warner Bros., was hoping to launch one of its biggest movies of the year, which will be followed by other franchise entries from DC Comics.

So before you throw down your money on the movie this weekend, let us tell you the problems that critics had with it.

SEE ALSO: Here's how much 'Batman v Superman' needs to make to be considered a success

The movie finds no joy in itself.

Taking a page from the "Dark Knight" franchise, director Zack Snyder attempts to make a movie that is very, very serious. And critics didn't buy it.

"There's zero humor or self-deprecation, as there was in Joss Whedon's pitch-perfect 'The Avengers'; no performance of unlikely depth, like the one Heath Ledger pulled off in 'The Dark Knight'; and no animating spirit of decency, a trait Christopher Reeve's Superman had in spades," Time Out New York writes.

And Indiewire points out a major disappointment of our expectations: "It takes roughly 90 minutes for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' to justify its title, and another 30 to establish it's a red herring."

The Hollywood Reporter questions any collaboration between the two comic-book characters going forward: "It's hard to say what ought to happen between Batman and Superman in the future, even, indeed, if they actually should share the screen again."

This version of Superman isn't likable.

This is Henry Cavill's second time playing the character, following 2013's "Man of Steel," and many critics have been turned off by a Kal-El who seems more jaded than how we've seen the character portrayed in the past.

"I would have given anything to watch Clark Kent open up his shirt, to reveal that big 'S,' then go off to save the day as the music swells. But this Superman isn't that Superman," Uproxx writes.

The New York Post believes, "Cavill is stuck with a character who spends far too much time reacting to others, whether it's to Batman's taunts or the romantic overtures of Lois Lane (Amy Adams)."

Meanwhile, the Chicago Tribune thinks Cavill is "as narcissistic a Superman as you'll ever see."

Director Zack Snyder is more interested in blowing things up than telling a story.

The direction by Snyder, responsible for previous comic book adaptations like "300" and "The Watchmen," is getting a lot of the blowback. Many critics felt he was too focused on the visuals in "Batman v Superman."

"Although director Zack Snyder is a great visualist, all he has here is pretty pictures and giant (and confusing) action sequences," NJ.com said.

"Snyder is not without skills, or ideas," the Chicago Tribune writes, "but when a critic finds himself at odds with almost every aspect of a director's visual approach to material like this, material like this becomes pretty joyless."

Conan O'Brien remembers how Garry Shandling helped him through one of his lowest points

Conan O'Brien honored Garry Shandling, who died on Thursday, by remembering how the comedy icon helped him through the depression of his controversial "Tonight Show" exit.

"In the next few days, maybe weeks, you'll be hearing a lot and reading a lot about Garry Shandling, the comedian," the host said on Thursday night's "Conan" on TBS.

O'Brien continued to describe how groundbreaking Shandling's comedy was and how revered he is by other comedians, and then he said, "But right now, I'm not thinking of that aspect of Garry Shandling. I'm thinking of Garry Shandling the person. He was obviously hysterically funny pretty much all the time. He was also extremely sensitive. He was complicated. And he had a ton of empathy for other people. And I want to make that point. That is something in business, in comedy, that is very rare. He really did care about other people."

The late-night host then explained how distraught and confused he was after the events in 2010 that led to him leaving NBC's "The Tonight Show" so that Jay Leno could return. As a result, O'Brien's wife suggested they take a week-long vacation to Hawaii so O'Brien can "get some sun for the first time in 40 years."

"Garry just magically appeared, and he helped me a lot," O'Brien recalled. "And that is what I've been thinking about this last couple of hours."

Shandling had arrived to Hawaii and checked into the same hotel as O'Brien family the day before. After hearing talk of O'Brien's arrival, Shandling sought him out.

"Suddenly, the phone rang, and I heard a voice. And it's an unmistakable voice," O'Brien remembered. "It said, 'Conan, it's Garry. I'm staying three doors down, we're on an island, there's no avoiding me.'"

They would end up spending the entire week together as Shandling helped O'Brien see his way out of a depressed haze.

"I was at a really low point," the late-night veteran said.

That would help deepen their bond, which, as it happens, is pretty deep based on the evidence from TV.

In June of 2014, comedian Tracy Morgan was critically injured and went into a coma following a horrific six-vehicle pileup on the New Jersey Turnpike.

It's been a long recovery for Morgan, but he's made strides, including hosing "Saturday Night Live."

But in a candid recent interview with Rolling Stone, Morgan admitted that while recovering from the accident, he didn't know if he could be funny again.

"I said, 'If my funny ever went away, I'd die,'" Morgan tells the magazine. "And I thought I was going to die for a long time. My thoughts — I was in a very dark place. I was sitting right here, contemplating suicide. I couldn't walk."

Morgan has gotten over that painful hurdle, as it's more than evident he can still make people laugh. Since his "SNL" hosting gig, he's gone back on the stand-up circuit and has many TV and movie roles in the works.

He's also working on a comedy special, and the working title is fitting: "Stayin' Alive."

Why Kevin O'Leary invested in these entrepreneurs nearly 3 years after they missed a deal with him on 'Shark Tank'

surprise ride shark tank

For the first time in seven seasons of "Shark Tank," one of the Sharks has returned to invest in a company whose founders missed a deal during their appearance on the show.

In the latest episode of "Beyond the Tank," the "behind-the-scenes" companion show to "Shark Tank," it was revealed that Kevin O'Leary partnered with sisters Donna and Rosy Khalife, founders of the Washington, DC startup Surprise Ride.

"Now I own a piece of this company, I like what they've done so far — I'm going to pour gasoline on this fire, get this thing to $10 million in sales," O'Leary said.

The Khalifes founded Surprise Ride, a craft kit subscription service for kids ages 6-11, in 2012, shortly after Donna received her MBA from Harvard Business School. Donna serves as CEO and Rosy as COO.

When they appeared on Season 5 of "Shark Tank" in 2013, they had acquired 220 subscribers over four months and were on track for $500,000 in annual sales for the next year. They were seeking an investment of $110,000 in exchange for 10% of the company, but the investors thought the $1.1 million valuation was unwarranted. Robert Herjavec offered the $110,000, but for 25%, and he became frustrated when the Khalifes negotiated harder. They left without a deal.

A couple years later, they agreed to appear on "Beyond the Tank" under the pretense that they were to be another example of founders who missed a deal on "Shark Tank" but flourished after the experience; they had no idea that O'Leary, who was very interested in the product back in Season 5 but found the valuation much too high, had kept an eye on the company's progress.

Since the "Shark Tank" appearance, Surprise Ride not only exceeded its goal of $500,000 in annual revenue in 2014, but surpassed $1 million in annual sales last year. The company also became profitable, and the Khalifes are using profits to grow their team.

surprise rideIn classic reality show fashion, the "Beyond the Tank" producers had O'Leary make an unexpected appearance at the Surprise Ride headquarters.

His offer was far from a done deal, and he told them it was completely non-negotiable: He would invest $50,000 for 2.5% of the company, and would profit from a 6% royalty on every product sold until he made $150,000, at which the royalty would disappear. The sisters hesitated a moment, but then happily agreed to it.

Rosy told DCInno's Eric Hal Schwartz that the $50,000 was intended solely as a way for O'Leary to kick off a partnership. "Fifty grand isn't much compared to what a startup needs to grow, but it's not about investment in terms of monetary value," she said. "It's about Kevin's marketing value. That's worth millions in itself. We're excited to be working with him on customer acquisition and growth."

O'Leary, who goes by the nickname "Mr. Wonderful," told the Khalifes that Surprise Ride would become the newest member of his Something Wonderful Family, a collection of his favorite "Shark Tank" investments that he markets together for family-friendly event planning.

O'Leary said another reason he wanted to bring Surprise Ride into his portfolio was because he realized over the past year that his most profitable "Shark Tank" investments have female CEOs. He told the Khalifes that he's not exactly sure why that is, but he's at least found from his own experience that his female CEOs are less volatile and better planners than his male leaders.

"Surprise Ride is at an interesting juncture," O'Leary said on "Beyond the Tank." "I think these girls have learned a lot since they appeared on 'Shark Tank' and I think they've learned from time that you don't want to take an opportunity and squander it."

The story behind the faked photo of Nintendo's next console that fooled the internet

$

0

Nintendo's making a new game console, and that new game console is going to get announced in 2016. It's currently known as "NX" — a code name — and that's pretty much all we know for certain.

Nintendo NX w/ arrows

The NX is rumored to be a home console and portable console, all-in-one. It's also rumored to be in the hands of some game developers already, primarily in Japan where Nintendo is based.

And this week on Monday, an image popped up on Reddit from a user who claimed it was a leaked image of a Nintendo NX gamepad — the portable bit of the console, supposedly.

Nintendo NX controller leak

That image, however, turns out be an elaborate fake. But that's not a surprise, right? This thing looks pretty fake.

What's weird, however, is that three subsequent images from a separate Reddit poster appear to be real.

Nintendo NX controller leak

Except they are also fake. We can explain why, but first we need to examine the story of how the first faked photo was made.

Enter David Im, a French game developer and 3D model creator. His DeviantArt page is full of 3D renders of non-existent — though enticing — Nintendo hardware.

Like this:

Nintendo 3DS concept (David Im)

And this:

Wii 2 concept (David Im)

And, most recently, this fake NX controller:

Nintendo NX controller leak

Im created all three of the above images, and he released a video Thursday evening on YouTube explaining how he created the fake Nintendo NX image. In the video, he shows how he modeled the design in 3D Studio Max (a 3D modeling application), added details in Photoshop, and then posted the image to Reddit. For good measure, he also sent along a link to game website Dual Pixels claiming to be the "insider" who posted this image.

He explained the process of creation in an email interview with Tech Insider:

A few days ago, I started the first sketches (based on the filed Nintendo patent mentioned in numerous articles). I added some modifications, then started modeling using 3D Studio Max 2016 with the 'Vray' rendering engine. Once the 3D rendering was done I made the first montage (using Photoshop) with the 3D model. I reduced the image’s quality on purpose to make it harder to see that it was a 3D model, I taught myself how how to spot alter images, then I made the final pass to make sure everything was ok. Then [I] released the beast onto Reddit and sent an email to Dual Pixels (posing as an insider). I didn’t think for a second that the information would be passed along.

Im even sent us a few images of the process of creation.

Here's the render of the fake image in high-resolution:

Nintendo NX controller fake

Im says he had nothing to do with the three subsequent images, and we believe him, but there are still good reasons to believe those subsequent three are totally fake as well.

For one, the details of Im's fake and the three subsequent images are identical. This is really important, because those little touches that Im made to his original fake photo show up detail for detail in the subsequent photos. Either he's making the best guess of all time, or the three subsequent photos are bunk.

Nintendo NX fake comparison

Keep in mind we still have no idea who posted the subsequent three photos to Reddit.

When asked about it, Im says (translated from French to English), "I am not the author of the fake second [image] (photo display off). It's tracing my model (based on my image) as he / she takes the same (end of sellotape next to the display) all matches."

So, Im didn't create the subsequent three photos, but they were all published after his fake image was already out there, and these images all copied his fake directly. Again, it's possible that they're not fake, but that's highly unlikely. They're just too similar to the confirmed fake to not also be fake themselves. And yes, we realize how ridiculous this all sounds.

So, why go through the trouble of creating a fake and duping the internet? For fun, according to Im.

"As with any new hardware announcement, I love to dream and imagine what it will look like," he told Tech Insider. Using an old patent filing, he began crafting his fake.

Nintendo patent

That's understandable. But why go through the process of attempting to trick the internet?

"I posed as an insider (for the first and last time) for laughs," Im said, "without really thinking the whole world was going to share."

He also had another reason: "To prove that anyone can make these images."

Mission accomplished, Mr. Im.

Are you the person or persons who created the second set of images of the NX controller? Please get in touch! We'd love to know more!

'They were right about O.J.': Donald Trump fires back after Ted Cruz accuses him of planting National Enquirer story

Ted Cruz.

Sen. Ted Cruz lambasted Donald Trump on Friday in a scathing Facebook post that accused the GOP presidential frontrunner and his "henchmen" of planting a false story about him in the National Enquirer.

Trump released a tongue-in-cheek statement Friday afternoon that referenced O.J. Simpson, said the National Enquirer was often right, and expressed "hope" that the supermarket tabloid was "not right about Lyin' Ted Cruz."

Earlier in the week, the National Enquirer released a story that strongly implied Cruz engaged in extramarital affairs with five women. The supermarket tabloid's story became a social-media firestorm on Friday.

"I want to be crystal clear: These attacks are garbage," Cruz wrote on Facebook in response.

"For Donald J. Trump to enlist his friends at the National Enquirer and his political henchmen to do his bidding shows you that there is no low Donald won't go."

He continued:

These smears are completely false, they're offensive to Heidi and me, they're offensive to our daughters, and they're offensive to everyone Donald continues to personally attack. Donald Trump's consistently disgraceful behavior is beneath the office we are seeking and we are not going to follow.

Minutes before Cruz released his statement, a Cruz campaign official tweeted a letter Trump wrote for the National Enquirer last August. New York magazine reported that Trump and the National Enquirer's CEO David Pecker have been friends for years and are "very close."

"Well let me be clear: Donald Trump may be a rat, but I have no desire to copulate with him," Cruz told reporters. "And this garbage has no place in politics."

Trump issued the following statement in response:

I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this week's issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it.

Likewise, I have nothing to do with the National Enquirer and unlike Lyin' Ted Cruz I do not surround myself with political hacks and henchman and then pretend total innocence. Ted Cruz's problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin' Ted Cruz.

I look forward to spending the week in Wisconsin, winning the Republican nomination and ultimately the Presidency in order to Make America Great Again.

Donald Trump Ted Cruz

The clash is the latest blow in the increasingly scathing back and forth between the two candidates.

On Tuesday, Trump tweeted that he would "spill the beans" on Cruz's wife after a super PAC unaffiliated with Cruz published an ad featuring Trump's wife, Melania, posing nude for GQ magazine. Cruz replied back within minutes. He insisted that the ad did not come from his camp and called Trump a "coward" for attacking his wife.

On Wednesday, Cruz said on "Good Morning America" that his wife "is way out of his league. If he wants to get in a character fight, he should stick with me."

Trump then shot back at Cruz again.

"Lyin' Ted Cruz denied that he had anything to do with the G.Q. model photo post of Melania," he tweeted. "That's why we call him Lyin' Ted!"

Late Wednesday night, Trump tweeted out someone else's photo that depicted Heidi Cruz with an unflattering scowl. Next to that image was a more flattering photo of Melania Trump.

The post's text, which Donald Trump blasted out to his 7 million followers, said: "A picture is worth a thousand words."

Cruz responded to that provocation by calling Trump a "sniveling coward" to a gaggle of reporters on Thursday, adding that Trump has problems with "strong women."

"It's the action of a small and petty man who is intimidated by strong women," he said. "Real men don't do that and Donald is indicating the fear that keeps him up at night when he lashes out in anger. Donald should stick with attacking me because Heidi is way out of Donald Trump's league."

Trump responded Thursday night on Twitter:

J.K. Rowling shares photos of her rejection letters for 'inspiration'

JK Rowling

Before J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series was a commercial and critical hit, Rowling was struggling to make Potter's story come to fruition.

Her manuscript was rejected by 12 different publishing houses before she finally found a publisher. But even with the incredibly successful "Harry Potter" franchise under her belt, one of Rowling's newer manuscripts was also recently denied.

On Friday, the author took to Twitter to talk about rejection and share some photos of rejection letters she received for her 2013 novel "The Cuckoo's Calling," which she wrote under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. She offered the rejection notices for "inspiration, not revenge" and masked the signatures.

In a letter from Constable & Robinson, a representative wrote that the company couldn't publish the novel "with commercial success" and offered tips for publishing and said that "vital information" could be found in "The Writer's Handbook."

The novel was eventually published and has since spawned a series of its own.

Rowling revealed that she pinned her first rejection letter to her kitchen wall, but she didn't share any "Harry Potter" rejections because they are in a box in her attic.

She added that one of the publishers that rejected "Harry Potter" sent a rude rejection for "Galbraith" as well.

But, she said, she had to persevere, and it all paid off in the end — quite literally.

Celebrity chef Robert Irvine explains the top 5 reasons most restaurants fail

$

robert irvine

Over the past five years, chef Robert Irvine has tried reviving 135 failing restaurants across America for the Food Network show "Restaurant: Impossible," now at the start of its 13th season.

Of these, 82, or 61%, have closed after their makeovers, according to the blog Food Network Gossip.

But that's actually not that bad of a statistic, since these restaurants were so poorly managed that Irvine and his team only took the job if there was essentially a 100% chance of imminent failure.

In fact, according to a frequently cited study by Ohio State University on failed restaurants, 60% do not make it past the first year, and 80% go under in five years.

Irvine has noticed five recurring factors from his experience trying to whip these places back into shape. He shared with Business Insider his top five reasons why the majority of restaurants fail.

SEE ALSO: The 25 best new restaurants in the US

The owners are inexperienced.

There are a lot of people out there who think they should open a restaurant simply because they know how to make a few great dishes.

"Potential restaurateurs do not realize or appreciate the specific set of demands that come along with owning and running a restaurant," Irvine said. "Once realized, it is often way too late."

At this point, some owners bring in an industry veteran to help out. "This can be effective, but it also adds more of a financial burden to the bottom line by bringing in someone who expects to be paid relative to their experience," Irvine said.

They have terrible managers.

"Unlike other businesses where you may find yourself managing just one group of people with one specific skill set, restaurants have a ton of moving parts requiring a diverse group of people with varying skills sets, talents, and personalities," Irvine said.

He's found that the best restaurant managers he's worked with started at the bottom at a restaurant — as a line cook, perhaps — and worked their way up the chain of command.

"Managers who have walked a mile in the shoes of the people they are overseeing are more understanding, compassionate, and seek like-mindedness while providing insight into how best to relate to, approach, and motivate each member of their team," Irvine said.

The owners lack accounting skills.

Irvine said that it's unfortunately a common occurrence for him to ask owners of a "Restaurant: Impossible" location about their food and labor costs and how their revenue and profits stack up only to receive a dumbfounded look.

Another common mistake is that there's no system to ensure that numbers are kept up to date.

"One particular owner was so proud of himself for being able to report a 33% food cost until I dug a little deeper to see that his costs were based on old figures and that the cost of ingredients had risen significantly since he last did his calculations," Irvine said.

'Batman v Superman' killed off a major character from the comic books — and you probably missed it

jimmy olsen wiki

(Warning: spoiler for the movie ahead.)

You may have noticed when seeing "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" that it's pretty darn dark. I personally respect the boldness of director Zack Snyder to give us conflicted versions of Superman and Batman, with good and evil not so easily defined.

But there is an instance in the movie where Snyder takes things too far.

In the opening of the movie, Lois Lane (Amy Adams) travels to the Middle East to interview a terrorist. The interview goes awry when the photographer with Lane turns out to be a CIA agent, leading to a bloodbath that includes the photographer being killed and Superman showing up to rescue Lane.

If you know your Superman history, if any photographer on the Daily Planet staff would be working with Lane, it would be Jimmy Olsen. But Jimmy's name is never uttered in the scene.

Well, if you stuck around for the closing credits, you would have seen that the actor playing the photographer/CIA agent in the scene, Michael Cassidy, is credited as Jimmy Olsen.

250px SupermanredsonIt's a pretty grim way for lovable Olsen to go out with a bullet to the head. And don't feel all that bad if you didn't catch this, as there is no mention of Olsen at all in the movie. You would think at least, while making out in the bathtub, Lois and Clark would mourn over the death of their good friend Jimmy. And, yeah, wasn't it crazy that he was really a CIA agent?

Then again, you could make the argument that Snyder, who has said all he's trying to do is adapt the comics that he loves, is taking a page from source material.

In Mark Millar's 2003 comic series "Superman: Red Son," which follows the premise of what would happen if Superman had been raised in the Soviet Union, Jimmy Olsen is a CIA agent. And if you want your minds blown a little more, in the series he recruits Lex Luthor to kill Superman.

Snyder told Entertainment Weekly why Olsen gets the cameo treatment.

“We just did it as this little aside because we had been tracking where we thought the movies were gonna go, and we don’t have room for Jimmy Olsen in our big pantheon of characters, but we can have fun with him, right?”

In fact, Snyder admitted to EW that originally they wanted a star to play the Olsen role. The actor he had in mind was Jesse Eisenberg.

“I thought, if it were Jesse Eisenberg and he got out and he goes, ‘I’m Jimmy Olsen,’ you’d be like, oh my God, we’re gonna have Jimmy Olsen in the whole movie, right?’” Snyder says. “And then if he got shot, you’d just be like, ‘What!? You can’t do that.’”

Eisenberg was signed on to play Olsen, but while searching for a Lex Luthor, Snyder decided to go young with the character and moved Eisenberg into the villain role.

Snyder also noted to EW, that in the extended R-rated Blu-ray of "Batman v Superman" out this summer, it is clearer that the character is Olsen, as he introduces himself to Lane.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is currently in theaters.

On March 13th, six gunmen opened fire at a crowded beach on the Ivory Coast. Twenty-two people, including the gunmen, were killed, according to the Washington Post. Local musicians quickly turned the site into the scene of a music video, putting together a defiant anthem to prove that they are not afraid of Al Qaeda, who took responsibility for the attack.

'Batman v Superman' is already breaking box-office records with $27.7 million

batman v superman

Though most critics may hate it, so far general audiences are coming out in droves for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

The film took in $27.7 million in its Thursday preview screenings, according to TheWrap.

That's the highest earner ever for a preview day leading up to Easter weekend.

The film, which pegs two of the biggest comic-book characters against one another, and touts the latest big-screen arrival of Wonder Woman, is on pace to hit the film's early projections of making around $150 million over the holiday weekend. It could have its sights on breaking the record for the biggest opening over Easter (currently held by "Furious 7" with $147 million) and perhaps the highest opening weekend for the month of March ("The Hunger Games" currently holds it with $152 million).

By Friday, the film will be playing in over 4,000 locations.

It should be noted, though, that if audiences find that they agree with critics, the spread of bad word of mouth could do serious damage to future box-office performance for the Warner Bros. blockbuster.

The Rolling Stones hit the stage in Havana, Cuba on Friday night to play a free concert. It was the legendary rock band's first gig in Cuba, following US President Barack Obama's historic visit earlier in the week.

Obama's trip and The Stones' concert are symbols of big changes happening now in Cuba — more than a year after the US announced new efforts to restore diplomatic ties with the Communist country.

The Cuba thaw, as it were, has been more than 50 years in the making.

When asked at Havana airport about a former ban on his music in Cuba, Mick Jagger replied, "Time changes everything."

Netflix has revealed an elite category of binge-watcher, and they honestly sound a bit terrifying (NFLX)

orange is the new blackYou might like to consider yourself the king or queen of binge-watching, but you probably don’t binge as hard as one particular group of people, according to Netflix’s VP of product innovation, Todd Yellin.

In a video describing how Netflix views binge-watching, Yellin said there was a percentage of Netflix users who will finish a Netflix series in the exact amount of time it has been up.

“There is a tiny minority of people who will just binge through the whole thing in the exact amount of time, from the second we launch it at midnight California time,” he said. “13 hours later, or exactly how many hours are in the show, they’ll finish.”

Granted, Yellin says this is a tiny percentage of the Netflix-loving population, but the fact that it exists at all is truly astounding.

A recent Deloitte survey found that of 2,200 US respondents, 70% binge-watched, averaging five episodes in one sitting. Among millennials, 35% did it on a weekly basis.

Now Netflix is telling us that some small percentage of that population actually sits down at midnight and watches a dozen hours of “House of Cards” straight. That is … impressive?

Yellin didn’t give any insight into who these people are, although one possibility is that some of them are pirates who are ripping the series to post on torrent sites as quickly as possible.

Still, it’s more fun to imagine superfans settling into a marathon binge session as soon as their favorite new Netflix series comes out.

20 actors who completely transformed themselves into music legends

The larger-than-life musicians we worship have been brought to the big screen for decades, in biopics that range from transformative to middling.

And finding actors who can accurately portray those artists often requires musical training, studying mannerisms, and physical transformations.

While some roles merely require learning some choreography and slight makeup, others are more intensive, such as Jamie Foxx having his eyes glued shut to portray Ray Charles.

This year, a number of musical biopics are hitting the screen, including one with British actor Tom Hiddleston as Southern musician Hank Williams and Don Cheadle as jazz artist Miles Davis.

Here are 20 of the most notable transformations:

Tom Hiddleston — Hank Williams

The English actor transformed into the folk singer, Southern drawl and all, for "I Saw the Light." Hiddleston stayed with singer-songwriter Rodney Crowell for five weeks and was coached in Williams' mannerisms and singing style. The film hit theaters March 25.

Don Cheadle — Miles Davis

Cheadle was first roped into this project back in 2006 when Miles Davis, who died in 1991, was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Afterward, Davis' nephew said Cheadles would play his uncle in a film of his life. Cheadle eventually cowrote a script, signed on to direct, and portrayed the jazz musician in "Miles Ahead," which will be released April 6.

(Cheadle also portrayed Sammy Davis Jr. in 1998's “The Rat Pack,” for which he won a Golden Globe.)

Jason Mitchell — Eazy-E

Jason Mitchell's transformation into the late N.W.A rapper Eazy-E for "Straight Outta Compton" blew critics away. The relatively unknown "consistently out-acts the rest of the performers," a New York Times review said. Mitchell, who has a similarly built frame to Eazy-E, gained weight, practiced a South Los Angeles accent, and learned how to rap for the role, according to the Los Angeles Times. Corey Hawkins became Dr. Dre and O'Shea Jackson Jr. transformed into his father, Ice Cube, for the film.
