"The Colbert Report" had the perfect response to Brad Paisley and LL Cool J's controversial country and rap collaboration "Accidental Racist."

The song, about relations between Southerners and African Americans, sparked the fervor of many last week.

Stephen Colbert decided the song could be improved and responded with one of his own called "Oopsie-Daisy Homophobe."

Alan Cumming took the stage to join him.

Watch below:

How Miranda Kerr Spun Getting Ousted From Victoria's Secret In Her Favor

$

miranda kerr

Miranda Kerr managed to come out on top after losing her post as a Victoria's Secret Angel.

Kerr was hit with a wave of negative publicity last week after reports emerged that she had lost her coveted Victoria's Secret Angel contract because of her "difficult" reputation.

It was also reported that Kerr was "not a big seller" for Victoria's Secret compared with other Angels like Alessandra Ambrosio and Candace Swanepoel.

But Kerr managed to spin the situation completely in her favor.

Initial headlines about the story referred to the reports of Kerr's "difficult" reputation and supposed inability to sell underwear.

Then, Kerr spoke out on the situation in an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald.

She emphasized that she didn't get dumped by Victoria's Secret: she actually left in order to make time for her family and other gigs.

"The thing is, I've been modeling since I was 13,'' Kerr told the paper. ''I'm now entering a new phase in my life. I have felt this coming since my son was born and, after I became a mother, I realized I needed to prioritize my time."

Kerr also said that she was taking time to develop "opportunities that are really reflective of my passions.''

By making the departure seem like her decision, Kerr quickly regained the approval of the fashion community.

Soon, the tone of headlines shifted to "Miranda Kerr: 'Victoria's Secret didn't fire me - I quit'" and "Miranda Kerr sets the record straight on Victoria's Secret Exit."

It's hard to believe that anyone would voluntarily give up one of the best gigs in fashion. Even Heidi Klum, one of the most successful models of all time, stayed on until she was 37.

It's also likely that Victoria's Secret, which prefers its Angels to have very few other obligations, found Kerr's recent ad, tabloid, and sponsorship blitz disconcerting.

Either way, Kerr simply became too hot for Victoria's Secret.

And with contracts at Reebok, Mango, and KORA Organics, it looks like she'll stay that way.

Showtime released the first sneak peek at season 8 of "Dexter" confirming that it will be the last for the series.

In the clip, Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) is having a major meltdown, avoiding her serial killer brother Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and drinking beer in a grocery stores.

That has a lot to do with her actions in the seventh season finale.

AD OF THE DAY: What If Sin City Was Canadian?

Sin City Canadian Film Festival Spoof

JWT Toronto released a short video for the opening of the 2013 Canadian Film Festival that takes a self-deprecating look at what the film noir classic "Sin City" might have looked like if it was written by Canadians.

The scene features a burly spoof of the Sin City character John Hartigan gazing off a bridge, ready to jump. Suddenly, his lover appears, asking if he really wants to take the plunge.

"It's gotta be over 60 meters down," she sighs in a Canadian accent.

"Meters...what's a meter?" responds the protagonist, looking confused. He is clearly an American, and not a user of the metric system. She explains, and the scene continues.

Then, the topic changes to the cold temperature, which she notes in Celsius.

"This is bullshit...what the f*** is Celsius?" exclaims the Hartigan character, leaping off the set, which is suddenly revealed as a small stage in front of a green screen. "Somebody call my agent."

"Great films that are Canadian. Maybe a little too Canadian," reads the closing caption, brilliantly kicking off a celebration of Canadian films.

Jay-Z Has Sold His Stake In The Brooklyn Nets

NBA All-Star Game, Jay-Z, Beyonce

Jay-Z is officially selling his stake in the Brooklyn Nets so he can become an NBA agent.

He announced earlier this month that he was starting a sports agency called Roc Nation Sports and partnering CAA.

His agency signed Robinson Cano of the Yankees and Victor Cruz of the New York Giants, but to represent NBA players, Jay-Z had to divest his ownership stake in the Nets

In a statement on his Life+Times blog last night, he said he will always be a Nets fan:

Being a member of the Nets organization surpassed some of my greatest ambitions. It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I’m a Brooklyn Net forever. It’s been an honor to work with Mikhail Prokhorov, Dmitry Razumov, Christophe Charlier, ONEXIM Sports and Entertainment, Brett Yormark and all the wonderful people involved in making the Nets first class. My sincerest thanks goes to Bruce Ratner, who first introduced the idea of moving the Nets to Brooklyn. A thank you and deepest appreciation goes to the fans. You are the lifeblood of any team.

The Nets have made their mark on the NBA and as they enter a new era, Roc Nation does as well; as we embark on Roc Nation Sports. Our newest endeavor is committed to building the brands of professional athletes as we have done for some of today’s top music artists. For Roc Nation Sports to function at its full potential, NBA rules stipulate that I relinquish my ownership in the Brooklyn Nets. It was a tough decision but as I stated earlier, it’s not about ownership. Congratulations to The Nets on a great season and making the playoffs! I will always be a Brooklyn Net.

His stake was believed to be worth about ~$355,000.

Movie Studio Lionsgate Ditches Its Famous 'Golden Gears' Intro For This New Logo

Lionsgate logo

Moviegoers may be surprised when they see the new Hunger Games movie, "Hunger Games: Catching Fire." The film will open with a new logo and intro-branding for Lionsgate, the studio behind the movie.

The Lionsgate movie-opening intro sequence is familiar to many: It begins as a closeup on a set of golden, grinding gears, and as the camera moves backward it emerges on the other side of a keyhole. The keyhole is on a gate, which then opens onto a dramatically cloudy sky where the Lionsgate logo lives.

No more. The studio was bored of it, according to the New York Times:

“It would have been really easy to say, ‘O.K., we want to freshen our logo. Let’s go buy a new gate,'” said Tim Palen, Lionsgate’s chief marketing officer. “But it’s hard to make a gate exciting. We decided to be bold.”

A new intro was designed by Devastudios. Check out the old one first to refresh your memory; the new one is below that.

Lucasfilm Cuts 20-Plus Jobs As Integration With Disney Continues

Star Wars

A week after layoffs at Walt Disney Studios, Lucasfilm was hit this week with pink slips of its own. More than two dozen staff members were laid off, I have learned.

The cuts came primarily in the company’s financing, licensing and distribution divisions and were not all together unexpected.

In an email to employees earlier this month, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said all  significant organization changes at the company would be completed by the end of April.

Sources tell me that this latest round of cuts is presumed to be the last as Lucasfilm fully integrates into its new owner Disney, which bought the Star Wars creators for $4.05 billion in October.

The cuts come after LucasArts, the company’s video game division, shut down production April 3 and laid off about 150 employees. There were also layoffs in Lucasfilm’s animation department after Disneysaid March 11 that it was discontinuing production of Star Wars: The Clone Wars for Cartoon Network and pursuing “a new direction in animated programming.”

About 150 employees in several divisions of Disney Studios were let go last week after a company internal review ordered late last year by CEO Bob Iger and CFO Jay Rasulo to identify superfluous positions and increase efficiency.

7 Rules For Doing Coachella And Summer Music Festivals The Right Way

$
0
0

Rapper Danny Brown coachella music 2013“If you are in the midst of a great show, don't leave it for another.”

A month after the chaotic but wonderful circus of SXSW, the proper summer music festival circuit commences in the desert with Coachella.

It is perhaps the finest place to witness how “kids” and older folks like me are experiencing, sharing, recording and distributing photos, video, and personal thoughts while caught up in the moment.

I’ve been going to Coachella for many years now and I have also been to almost every other festival of its kind, but somehow Coachella is different. In many ways, depending how you play it, it’s like all great festivals, Coachella can be a genuinely spiritual experience. It is not just about the groove of any individual set, but the overall vibe of the festival that continues on a beautiful three-day loop. First, the painted-desert surrounded by exposing mountain views cultivates a surreal dream-like state. Then there’s Coachella’s programming that for certain kinds of music fans (i.e. indie rock, electronica, and certain flavors of hip-hop), there’s just no comparison.

Here's a practical roadmap to Coachella 2013, but also some hints for the rest of the incredible festivals of the summer. (Caveat, these instructions are directed at hardcore fans looking to optimize time in front of bands, not time spent VIP area or bar).

Rule #1: Get there early, the future superstars all play long before sunset. Although it is easy to make excuses for not getting to the grounds of a music festival early in the day, the best music performed by the hungriest artists happens early in the day. Lord Huron, the wonderful alt-country band from LA, played an incredibly upbeat set to kick off the Festival on Friday.

The incredible beat-box theatrics of Beardyman, UK indie-dance rockers The Wombats, bliss-pop wunderkind’s Wild Nothing, MC-electronic genre-bender Theophilus London, indie-retro-power punk Cloud Nothings and reggae infused indie rockers Wild Belle all played early, inspired sets. I am guessing all of these bands will be back at Coachella playing to bigger crowds later in the day over the next few years.

Rule #2: Carpe the Moment, not the future moment. When attending a music festival if you are in the midst of a great show, don't leave it for another. Inevitably the one you leave it for will be less good than the one that you left, and will almost always suffer by comparison. A great festival will have many programming conflicts, but you are almost always better off committing to one and only leaving when that set is no longer interesting. I follow this rule obsessively.

The one time I broke it was to leave the awesome, swirling psychedelic rock of Tame Impala, which was incredible, for Rodriguez (I just had to) only to find his vocals too quiet to compete with the surrounding dance and rock music. Another time I chose to hang tight for Grizzly Bear, whose heavy, layered Pink-Floydian style of gothic pop, instead of the equally appealing Hot Chip or Yeasayer sets erupting across the Polo Field. That one was a toss up, but sometimes you need to just follow your gut. Pretty Lights played to a massive crowd of deeply chilled fans right as the wind was picking up and a desert sand storm was encroaching. It somehow seemed perfectly timed.

Rule #3: Take some chances, and discover the joy of the unexpected. You probably already know which bands you love now, but part of the beauty of a festival is discovering new music that you don’t know you love yet. There is almost nothing better than wondering into a set with almost not expectations, and having your mind blown. Seventeen year-old teenage folkie phenom, Jake Bugg, absolutely crushed it proving he can rock well beyond his years and folkie recordings.

We stopped by for a few songs, and stayed for most of a truly special set. Ditto with Ben Howard another young British folkie, who I knew I wanted to see, but had no idea how good he was live. Big swirling rustic jams blazing into the scorching afternoon sun.Savages was another mind-blowing unexpected gem. Siouxsie meets Bauhaus in a big, gothic, haunting, loud kind of way. Thee Oh Sees is a San Francisco band that is a bit harsh for me recorded, but was something totally unexpected and awesome live, brutally and strangely melodic. There is nothing better than entering a set knowing very little and leaving with a new best friend.

Rule #4: It’s so great to see super young bands blowing up right in front of your eyes. One of the best things about Coachella and other great festivals is the ability to witness how quickly a band can go from just starting out to something massive. This is best illustrated by the time and stage a band is scheduled relative to its expected turnout. The genre defining UK psychedelic groovers Alt-J played late afternoon and the tent was justifiably bursting at the seams.

Same for Brooklyn indie dance duo Tanlines, whose crowd was riding a huge wave.Grimes fans were spilling out of the tent, despite an unbelievably low vocal mix. Ditto for the always elegant Bat For Lashes. Ditto for Jessie Ware playing her electronica dance grooves to a wildly happy crowd. But there was almost nothing that compared to the absolutely enormous crowd splayed out across the massive main stage field for The Lumineers where almost everyone of the 50,000 fans seemed to know every lyric of every song. Pretty impressive for a band that has thirteen songs.

Rule #5: Make sure to see a few old skool bands from your childhood because they are actually still great. It's usually pretty clear how well a band’s music and skillset endures the test of time. New Order is still an incredible live band whose music sounds as fresh and relevant (especially in the modern age of electronica) as it did in the 80’s. The Violent Femmes are definitely getting older, but those songs are still as fun as they were in the 80’s.

The Selector still sounds crazy good after all these years. Blur can still play a big set with so many hits to pull from. Roni Size, despite the fact that EDM has evolved away from drum and bass, was absolutely killing it. Dinosaur Jr. still has all the brimstone and indie rock fire they had 25 years ago. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are still as brooding and badass as they were eons ago, that said a questionable nighttime main stage act. On the flipside The Stone Rosessounded sloppy and flat and the Red Hot Chili Peppers just seemed a bit bored and uninspired, not surprisingly after almost non-stop touring.

Rule #6: Always think carefully about your sunset set, it’s always the best of the day. At Coachella, the Outdoor Stage between 6-9 pm tends to have the best sets. After a day of baking in the sun, there was almost nothing better than Portugal. The Man, putting up perhaps the tightest most fun set of the festival. One part what Oasis used to have one part something totally unique. It is hard to imagine anything better than Local Natives at sunset, sounding more like Radiohead than there rootsier predecessor, and also so great to see them go from a smaller stage early in the day in 2011 to a packed house at the most enjoyable slot of the day. Check that for Tame Impala, and if you are a Vampire Weekend fan you can’t go wrong.

Rule #7: The stuff you think you love, blows your mind because bands play better at Coachella. Band of Horses made two great records and one limp recent record, but they caught a great wave for their Friday night set: big, bold, and familiar. Polica just keeps getting better and better with two drummers and an angelic voice, there hasn’t been anything like this since Morcheeba and Zero 7 in their prime. Beach House continues to create some of the most beautiful, dreamy ethereal pop on the planet especially on a warm spring night in desert.Foals interpret the Cure through the prism of TV on the Radio, and put up one of loudest yet most melodic shows on the planet.

The Postal Service who introduced themselves as an ‘imaginary band’ played a lovely set to a large and nostalgic crowd. The XX, well they just couldn’t be any cooler, except for when they bring out Solange for a killer cameo. Bliss. If you are an Americana-folkie like me, you know how good Kurt Vile is, but it is even better midday baking in the sun jam bandage. It is surprising Airborne Toxic Event isn’t a bigger band given what big melodic rock they play, even early in the day on the Main Stage. I know I love Father John Misty, but in a sea of beats-laden dance music his old-fashioned American rock music was just wanted I needed at the end of the weekend.

And like all mass congregations of people, you see a sea of phones taking pictures and video. Cell service is still a nightmare, so anything requiring you to upload files bigger than texts must be abandoned by late afternoon when the crowds roll in. Maybe that's a good thing. To be at a festival should be to enjoy a part of a living, breathing collection of passions, sights and sounds together - not alone on your phone.

If you have a chance to catch any of the many incredible festivals passing through a town near you this summer, do yourself a favor and go dive in for at least one. Every year I feel the need to conjure George Bernard Shaw’s “Youth is wasted on the young” thought. Not always but sometimes, and for me, youth culture at this scale energizes the old.

Jennifer Lawrence Bradley Cooper Silver Linings Playbook

Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's latest film "American Hustle" — currently shooting in Boston — has been shut down as the manhunt for one of the two alleged Boston Marathon bombers continues.

The movie is being directed by the acting duo's "Silver Linings Playbook" director David O.Russell, who is famous for filming his award-winning films such as "Silver Linings" and "The Fighter" in the east coast city.

"The production is heeding the governor’s request 'to remain indoors,'" said a spokesperson for Sony, which is releasing the film.

"Principal photography began March 18 in Boston and has been filming in the surrounding area," according to The Hollywood Reporter. "The production moved to Worcester -- a city 46 miles west of Boston -- on April 9 and returned to the Boston area on Wednesday, April 17, a day before the FBI released images of the suspects."

The movie is ironically about an FBI sting operation in the late ‘70s and also stars Christian Bale and Amy Adams.

Bradley Cooper visited marathon bombing victims at Boston Medical Center on Thursday.

“Huge thanks to #BradleyCooper for visiting @The_BMC @BostonTrauma during the hardest of weeks here at Boston Medical Center,” one hospital staffer tweeted the star's visit.

Cooper was also spotted at the interfaith service held Thursday morning, where President Obama and others vowed to support the Boston community.

What It Was Like To Be Psy's Roommate When He Was Dropout At Boston University in 1996

Psy

No other singer has made a music video that has been seen more than 1 billion times, as South Korea's Psy has. By that measure, he's the biggest pop phenomenon on the planet. His new song, "Gentleman M/V" has been seen 166 million times after just one week on YouTube. On its own, that's a huge achievement.

But Psy wasn't born a pop star.

He originally planned to go into business. His father is Park Won-Ho, the chairman of DI Corporation (which makes semiconductors) and his mom is Kim Young-hee, a restaurateur in the Gangnam district of South Korea.

In the late 1990s he went to Boston University to study business administration, but dropped out when his interest in music eclipsed his willingness to study, or even show up to class on time. He then briefly attended Berklee College of Music, but didn't complete that course either. He spent his leftover tuition money on a computer, a keyboard, and a MIDI, and ultimately returned to Korea.

We received an email from someone claiming to be Psy's former roommate during his time in Boston. While we can't verify everything our source tells us — these are memories from 1996 - 1998, after all — they certainly dovetail with what we know about the pre-fame life of Psy (real name Park Jae-Sang).

At the time, his disinterest in studying was legendary among his friends, the roommate tells us:

… I will tell you the broad strokes.

I lived with him 97-98.

He was still fat. Lazy. Messy. Typical Korean-male studying abroad.

His family had money so he lived well.

He missed classes all day long. Flunked everything. When we ate and drank he would put on shows at the karaoke spots.

We used to grab his chubby cheeks and tell him to "wake up! You're never going to make it in entertainment with a fat ugly face like yours!"

He would always respond with resolve. "I will make it! I'm going to be a star! Just you watch!"

That's pretty much everything.

Psy, apparently, has had the last laugh.

'Hannibal' And Other TV Shows Pulled After The Boston Bombing

Hannibal NBCIn the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings and current manhunt, many television shows are pulling episodes with sensitive subject matter.

NBC has yanked next week's episode of the freshman drama "Hannibal," which contained a violent storyline about "a character played Molly Shannon persuading children to kill other children," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

We're not sure who signed off on that story line ever being a good idea.

The episode will air overseas, but there are no plans for it to run stateside —  causing the show to wrap its first season one week earlier on June 20 instead of June 27.

But "Hannibal" isn't the only show to alter its scheduling. Earlier in the week, ABC announced the decision push back the April 22 episode of "Castle" for similar reasons.

"The episode focuses on Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) triggering a pressure-sensitive bomb and spending the hour trying not to detonate it," according to THR. "The episode currently is planned for April 29, though it could be pushed back further."

"Castle" also caused controversy Thursday night after TNT aired a syndicated episode with another bomb storyline. The network has since apologized.

Fox erred on the more cautious side, choosing not to re-run an episode of "New Girl" that had its characters suspicious of a murder plot.

And a February episode of "Family Guy" referencing bombs and running over participants in the Boston Marathon has been pulled from the web.

10 Iconic New York City Locations That 'Mad Men' Characters Love To Visit

$
0
0

Mad Men MMS6_0297 760We love Mad Men and can’t get enough. In addition to the character development, plot twists and 1960s period costumes (which are totally back in style), we love seeing some of our favorite locations in New York City depicted on the show.

From Madison Avenue to Waverly Place, many of the locales that Don and the rest of the characters frequented are still around and just as successful as they were in the ’60s. In anticipation of Season 6, here’s our Mad Men Guide to New York City with our favorite locations featured on Seasons 1-5.

We can’t wait to see what’s in store in Sunday’s Season Premier, and add Season 6 locations to our Mad Men Guide.

The Oyster Bar at Grand Central

In Season 1, Don gets back at Roger for flirting with Betty by egging him on to eat a couple dozen oysters and drink one too many Martinis, and then having the elevator attendant say the elevator is out of service. By the time the two of them walk the twenty-three flights up to the office, Roger is so sick that he vomits at the feet of a client.

We don’t recommend overdoing it like Roger, but we do recommend stopping at the Oyster Bar for a drink before boarding a train upstairs. In fact, for an even more sophisticated period atmosphere, head downstairs to the Campbell Apartment, Grand Central’s hidden bar, famous for the Prohibition Punch. We can only hope it will be featured in Season 6. Read more on our guide to NYC’s hidden bars.

P.J. Clarke's

When Peggy successfully writes copy for the Belle Jolie campaign and gets promoted from secretary to copy writer, she invites everyone out for a drink at P.J. Clarke’s to celebrate. A New York City staple that has been around since 1884, the original P.J. Clarke’s on 55th and 3rd is still a popular spot for a happy hour drink and serves up a menu of all American classics.

You can still see mementos of the bar’s past with a broken pay phone, human leg bones over the door (apparently an Irish good luck talisman), and Skippy the taxidermied dog. It was once a haunt of Frank Sinatra, Jackie O and Elizabeth Taylor. How’s that for authentic?

Henri Bendel

It’s been suggested that Menken’s Department Store from Season 1 may be a fictionalized version of Bergdorf Goodman, but we think it more closely resembles Henri Bendel. Menken’s is portrayed as a classy, upscale but intimate department store, much like Bendel.

The flagship on Fifth Avenue is home to original Lalique windows, making it an architecturally interesting place to see even if you prefer not to shop there.

11 Celebrities Who Are Outspoken About Their Love Of Weed

Rihanna snoop dogg weed

In honor of smoking holiday 4/20, we've round up 11 celebrities who have openly discussed their love of smoking weed.

Some like Snoop Dogg and Rihanna make no effort to hide their habit, but others such as Justin Bieber have gone to great lengths to try and keep it a secret -- to no avail.

Plus, a few surprise celeb smokers.

Justin Timberlake believes "Some people are just better high."

In an interview with Playboy magazine, Justin Timberlake said he "absolutely" smoked weed.

"The only thing pot does for me is it gets me to stop thinking," JT told the magazine. "Sometimes I have a brain that needs to be turned off. Some people are just better high."

Although, he did attempt to quit for a bit in 2003 after being high during the first ever episode of "Punk'd." "I actually stopped smoking pot for 9 to 10 months after that. I was so stoned."

Cameron Diaz bought weed from Snoop Dogg.

Justin Timberlake's ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz is also no stranger to weed especially since she went to high school with Snoop Dogg!

"We went to high school together, [Snoop] was a year older than me," she said on "Lopez Tonight." "He was very tall and skinny and wore lots of ponytails in his hair and I'm pretty sure I got weed from him. I had to have!"

Snoop Dogg taught his son how to "properly" smoke.

Snoop Dogg confirms Cameron Diaz's comments, saying, "I might have sold her some of that white girl weed."

Meanwhile, the rapper admits he is a proud holder of what he calls "a platinum medical marijuana card."

He even taught his son how to "properly" smoke weed.

"What better way to [learn] than from the master?" Snoop tells The Hollywood Reporterreferring to photos posted on Twitter showing his son lighting a 2-foot-bong.

“My kids can do whatever the hell they want," he explains of his parenting philosophy. "For me to say otherwise would be hypocritical. A lot of motherf-----s don't have a relationship with their kids, and that's when they get on drugs and have suicidal thoughts and drive drunk. Me and my son is mellow. I'm his father, so I wanna show him the proper way because he looks up to me.”

kardashianA lot has happened on the seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and its spin-offs since the family hit the airwaves in 2006.

We've watched two weddings, one divorce, and two babies (soon to be three).

And, surprisingly, there's also been a lot of health issues — ranging from the serious to the very bizarre and even uncomfortable.

Let's examine all of the health issues we've watched the family go through over the years.

8. Kris Jenner's "pee problem" landed her an endorsement deal for Poise panty liners.

Kris refused to go see a doctor about her bladder issues until she peed her pants a little during a family meal, when Khloe wouldn't move out of the booth to let her mom rush to the bathroom. Talk about embarrassing. Finally, she got checked out and the doctor told her she had stress incontinence, a common issue for women who've had kids — and Kris has had six.

This whole ordeal ended well, especially since Kris landed an endorsement deal with Poise panty liners.

7. Kim freaked out when her doctor told her she had psoriasis.

In 2011, we found out about Kim's skin condition while she was in the midst of planning her wedding with Kris Humphries.

The dermatologist told her it wasn't ringworm, like Khloe thought, after the star spent nearly a whole episode itching her splotchy skin and crying about her ailment. "My career is doing ad campaigns and swimsuit photo shoots," she said on the show. "People don't understand the pressure I feel to feel perfect. When I gain a pound, it is in the headlines, so imagine what the tabloids will do to me when they see all these spots."

6. Rob accidentally took Viagra.

This was totally predictable: Kris put herbal Viagra in Bruce's coffee to try to stimulate their sex life, only Rob happened to down the hot beverage instead. Whoops. Let's just say he woke up rearin' to go.

Reese Witherspoon Jim Toth

Oscar winning actress Reese Witherspoon was arrested for disorderly conduct early Friday morning in Atlanta after cops spotted the actress and her CAA agent-husband Jim Toth's car weaving in and out of lanes.

After being pulled over, Toth, 42, "appeared disheveled and his breath smelled of alcohol," according to the police report first uncovered by Variety.

Although Toth said he only had a single drink hours earlier, he blew a .139 on a Breathalyzer test administered at the scene.

“Mrs. Witherspoon began to hang out the window and say that she did not believe that I was a real police officer,” according to the police report. “I told Mrs. Witherspoon to sit on her butt and be quiet.”

"Do you know my name?" Witherspoon, 37, continued. The officer answered by saying, "No, I don't need to know your name."

The usually squeaky clean mother of three then came back with, "You're about to find out who I am ... You are going to be on national news."

At one point, the "Legally Blonde" actress reportedly got out of her car and the officer ordered her back inside. When she got out a second time, he arrested her for disorderly conduct.

The couple -- who wed in 2011 and recently had a baby -- were both taken to jail, booked, and released a short time later.

Witherspoon was in Atlanta shooting indie drama “The Good Lie.” Production on the film was not interrupted by the arrests, according to Variety sources.
