Former child actor, Jerry Supiran, of 1980s "Small Wonder" is broke and homeless, blaming his current misfortune on a stripper, The New York Post reports.

“When I was 18, I dated a stripper and she took what was left of my trust fund — then one of my advisers stole a half-million dollars from me,” Supiran said.

39-year-old Supiran played the adolescent Jamie Lawson on "Small Wonder." The show revolved around Jamie's robotic 10-year-old sister Vicki (standing for Voice Input Child Identicon) created by his research engineer father, Ted

Supiran became homeless after losing his most recent position as a waiter.

“I’ve worked at different steakhouses for the last 15 years,” he said. “But two years ago, I was laid off from a restaurant in Henderson, Nev., due to the economy. I haven’t been able to find a job since.”

Since then, Supiran moved back to California where his brother lives, sleeping at a homeless shelter he volunteers at, or under a local bridge.

The childhood actor also appeared on "Little House on the Prairie," "Galactica 1980" and "St. Elsewhere."
