In the movie 'Cosmopolis,' Twilight star Robert Pattinson sheds his pretty boy vampire role to become a 28-year-old billionaire hedge fund manager.

The movie follows Pattinson's character as he journeys across New York City to his father's old barber so he can get a haircut. While he travels to his destination in his stretch limo, Pattinson tracks the results of his bet on the yuan, is visited by his doctors, analysts and model lady friends, and also happens to drive through a protest (Occupy Wall Street much?). Pattinson's character eventually pieces the day's chaotic events together to realize that he is about to be assassinated, according to the film's website.

So although the movie takes place in an unfamiliar New York sometime in the future, it seems Wall Street cliches appear to be just the same.

The film also stars Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti and Samantha Morton. It was directed and written by David Cronenberg, and is based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Don DeLillo.

The movie just premiered at Cannes to very mixed reviews, according to FINS. It's currently playing in theaters across Europe, so we'll be keeping a look out on when the movie comes to New York. Judging from the trailer, the movie has some dark and psychedelic undertones. Watch it below—
