By now, we've all heard the ridiculous things our Secret Service agents have been doing behind close doors.
Drinking, prostitutes, smoking—these agents were stupidly letting off steam. Is it really not enough to just go on a golfing trip or something equally as legal and non-controversial?
But these antics are nothing compared to the way government agents are sometimes depicted on film.
From treason to murder to just plain idiocy, here are ten films in which agents from the CIA, NSA, FBI and the Secret Service have really screwed up big time.
And if you haven't seen these films, be warned. This is your official SPOILER ALERT.
"The Bourne Series" (2002, 2004, 2007)
A senior-level CIA agent happens to be a mole and steals $20 million from the government.
In order to get away with the crime, he kills a lot of people and frames poor Treadstone agent Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) who has just woken up with no memory and a gunshot wound.
"Salt" (2010)
A Russian informant tells the CIA that one of their own is actually a Russian spy who has been living a quiet American existence until one day the spy will take down the Russian and U.S. Presidents in order to start a full scale nuclear war.
The agent is said to be Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) but the real traitor ends up being her boss Agent Winters (Liev Schreiber).
"Air Force One" (1997)
The President (Harrison Ford) and his staff and family are held hostage upon Air Force One by Russian terrorists. When the President finally defeats the Russian terrorist leader (Gary Oldman) and tries to zip line to a rescue plane, he is stopped his Secret Service agent friend Gibbs (Xander Berkeley) who is revealed to be a mole for the Russians.
President Marshall knocks him over momentarily and makes it onto the second plane as Air Force Once crashes in the water.
