If you're a TV fan, this is one of the more depressing weeks of the year.
There's literally nothing on -- and next week won't be much better, unless you like watching "A Christmas Story" ten times in a row. (Not saying we don't.)
But in just a few weeks, all your small-screen friends will be back -- along with a crop of new shows.
Here's what to set your DVR for -- and what to let pass on by.
"Angry Boys" -- HBO, 1/1
Watch it if: you loved the underappreciated "Summer Heights High."
Skip it if: you haven't seen "Summer Heights High." Find it, watch it, then watch this.
"Work It" -- ABC, 1/3
Watch it if: you can't find your remote and don't own any books.
Skip it if: this trailer annoys you.
"The Firm" -- NBC, 1/8
Watch it if: you like everything about legal dramas but their sometimes dragging pace. This one moves like an action film.
Skip it if: you prefer your Josh Lucas in the confines of "Sweet Home Alabama."
