The iconic house where a young Macaulay Culkin fought off intruders in the 90's classic Home Alone has just sold at a big discount after sitting on the market for nearly a year.
The 1920's style house in Winnetka, Ill., 30 miles outside of Chicago, was listed at $2.4 million in May; the unnamed buyer paid just $1.585 million for it.
The sellers bought the house in 1988, just two years before it was used as a movie set, for $875,000.
Guests are welcomed by the beautiful staircase that Culkin so famously sledded down in the movie.
The home is 4,250 square feet
Sledding anyone?
Windows throughout brighten up the home
