KONY

If you have a Twitter or Facebook account, you have most likely seen someone in your network posting about the "KONY 2012" YouTube video.

The video, created by Invisible Children co-founder and filmmaker Jason Russell to unite and motivate people all over the world via social media, already has over four million hits on YouTube since it's release... yesterday.

And over 30,000 "likes" in six hours on the "Stop Kony 2012" Facebook page.

The goal of the film is to stop one of the world's worst war criminals, Joseph Kony—leader of the Christian terrorist group, the LRA, in Uganda. Kony is responsible for mutilating innocent people and kidnapping children to be used as soldiers.

"The next 27 minutes are an experiment, but in order for it to work you have to pay attention," Russell states in the beginning of the 30-minute film. "If we succeed, we change the course of human history...but time is running out."

Watch the video below and pass it on to make Kony famous—not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.

We promise it is worth your time.
