Moviegoers might have found themselves a real life hero in Joshua Thompson, a Livonia, Michigan resident who has filed a class action lawsuit against his local AMC theater for their overpriced snacks, David Ashenfelter of Detroit Free Press reports.
Thompson used to bring his own soda and candy to the theater, but stopped when the venue posted a sign banning the practice, according to Ashenfelter.
The suit "seeks refunds for customers who were overcharged" and "a civil penalty against the theater chain," the Free Press writes.
