It was Disney's world in 2019 and we all just lived in it.

"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker," which hit theaters in December, became the seventh Disney release of 2019 to reach $1 billion at the worldwide box office on Tuesday. One of them, "Avengers: Endgame," made over $2 billion and is the highest grossing movie of all time (before adjusting for inflation).

The previous Disney movie to hit that milestone, "Frozen II," recently became the highest-grossing animated movie of all time with $1.37 billion.

Disney broke its own annual global box-office record in July with $7.67 billion — more than the $7.61 billion it grossed in all of 2016.

The seven movies on this list don't include "Spider-Man: Far From Home," which is the first "Spider-Man" movie to reach $1 billion, but was distributed by Sony as part of a deal with Disney's Marvel Studios. Warner Bros.' "Joker" is the only other movie of 2019 to reach $1 billion that wasn't distributed by Disney.

Disney/Fox accounted for nearly 40% of the domestic box office in 2019 , but the box office is expected to be more evenly distributed between movie studios next year.

Below are the seven Disney movies that have earned over $1 billion in 2019, ranked by how much they've made globally:
