While millions are without power and thousands displaced in the Northeast, at least someone is benefiting from the devastating Hurricane Sandy.

Thanks to the disastrous past few days on the East Coast, The Weather Channel received its third-highest total day average ratings ever, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The channel drew an audience of 2.04 million and beat all the cable news networks in primetime among adults 25-54 and in overall day viewership.

According to data provided by the network, The Weather Channel said it was the top-rated cable network in the key demo in the 6am-9am time period Monday.

Viewing of the Weather Channel in the target demo on Monday peaked in the hours after Sandy made landfall, with the 10:30pm time slot reaching nearly 1.6 million viewers.

According to Deadline, that means the Comcast-owned channel outperformed the 1.043 million CNN viewers in the demo during "Piers Morgan Tonight," as well as the demo high of 924,000 for "The Fox Report with Shepard Smith " and the 611,000 best demo that MSNBC had for its "Rachel Maddow Show."

The only time the network has had better ratings was during Hurricane Isaac in August and Hurricane Irene in 2011.
