President Barack Obama gushed about "The Newsroom" creator Aaron Sorkin last night at a fundraiser in Westport, Conn., promptly earning him some slamming from conservatives and journalists who hate "The Newsroom."
Per the pool report, here are Obama's remarks thanking Sorkin for hosting the event, which came at the opening of his speech to supporters
"Aaron Sorkin, who writes the way every Democrat in Washington wished they spoke. (Laughter and applause.) Aaron, thank you."
That line left some nauseated, like Politico's Ben White:
