In this week’s trailers, Brad Pitt plays a hitman with a chowder-thick Boston accent and Katherine Heigl returns for her semi-annual romantic comedy.
We get better looks at Liam Neeson and Daniel Craig returning in their new action-packed sequels where the two single-handedly take out armies of baddies.
Plus, Nicole Kidman slums it down for another shot at Oscar gold, and the “Paranormal Activity” franchise tries out Skyping, with terrifying results.
Bachelorette – August 10 On Demand, September 7 In Theaters (Red Band)
Kirsten Dunst's return to film in "Bachelorette" will on demand a month before it debuts with a limited theatrical run. Riding the coattails of “Bridesmaids” may have been enough to ensure this has an opening weekend over $20 million. Knowing that, even with a solid red band trailer out this week, we wonder if we’ve already seen the best of this movie.
At the very least, there’s an awesome “Party Down” reunion with Adam Scott and Lizzy Caplan.
The Words - September 7
Bradley Cooper gets rich plagiarizing a novel, sleeps with Zoe Saldana, and the audience is asked to feel bad for him when it all comes crashing down.
The House At The End Of The Street - September 21
The newest trailer gives away the entire plot of this Jennifer Lawrence thriller (care to guess where the “missing” daughter is?), but still looks slightly better than the average horror film. However, the film's being promoted with the use of the hashtag #HATES, the acryonym for the film. For the most part, the hashtag is working for them. Hopefully, the film turns out well or the hashtag element may work against them.
For those looking to get their Lawrence fix but can’t wait until November for David O. Russell’s “Silver Linings Playbook,” this movie’s for you.
