Donald Trump says Brian Williams shouldn't have gone back to NBC's 'poor sister'

nbc nightly news brian williams donald trump

Donald Trump isn't supportive of Brian Williams' latest career choices.

NBC's former "Nightly News" anchor will soon be reporting for work at MSNBC. After being placed on suspension for lying on-air about some of his experiences at NBC, Williams be serving as the cable news channel's breaking news and special reports anchor.

THR_TrumpCover"I wasn't a fan of Brian Williams," Trump answered when The Hollywood Reporter asked if he'd appear with Williams on MSNBC.

Trump had a fallout with Fox News' Megyn Kelly over questions she asked him during the first primary debate and has since said he won't appear with her. But, the leading Republican presidential candidate never quite answered THR's question as to whether or not he'd appear with Williams.

"First of all, I think he made a terrible mistake," Trump continued. "He handled the situation horribly, and he should have left with dignity and shouldn't have gone back to work for the same company. For him to go from the parent to the poor sister [network] — and that's not even the poor sister, that's the poor baby."

Clearly not in Williams' camp, Trump does have some (backhanded) compliments for the newsman.

"He has never treated me well, so I'm not a fan," he reiterated to the Hollywood trade magazine. "How is he going to do? I think he'll do fine. MSNBC is lucky to have him. But if I were in Brian's shoes, I would never have gone back. I'm sure he doesn't need the money."

Digital-video companies show mixed results

DigitalVideoAdRev

Leading digital video companies' revenue grew 17% year-over-year (YoY) during the second quarter, a slight deceleration from 18% YoY growth last quarter. The slowdown in overall growth is largely attributed to YuMe's inadequate rollout of a new product offering. Meanwhile, Tremor Video and TubeMogul attributed their gains to an increased focus on programmatic offerings.

Here are some key takeaways from these companies' quarterly results:

  • YuMe's revenue was $40.4 million, marking flat YoY growth. The company attributed its disappointing results to major client losses stemming directly from the poor rollout of a full-stack programmatic platform offering. While YuMe did not go into details about what exactly went wrong with the rollout, the company suffered key client departures in the US and the UK as a result.
  • Tremor Video's revenue grew 5.4% YoY, reaching $46.1 million in the second quarter of this year. The slight revenue growth was credited to the company's growing focus on programmatic buying tools and high demand for Tremor's all-screen buying product, which allows brands to run video ad campaigns across all types of devices.
  • TubeMogul's revenue increased 58% YoY, reaching $45.4 million. The company attributed its impressive growth to its expansion into programmatic TV offerings and demand for mobile video.

Music streaming has generated an incredible 1 trillion plays so far this year

Apple music

Earlier this year, when Apple Music joined an already crowded music streaming field, many people wondered if all the services could co-exist.

But music streaming is taking over the world, and if you still don't believe that to be true — you will, now.

According to Next Big Sound's annual industry report, more than 1 trillion songs have streamed between all services in the first six months of 2015 alone.

YouTube and Vevo are also included in the calculations, but the number is still impressive.

Music is moving to streaming and no one can stop it. Consumers can't help themselves — they want 30 million songs at their fingertips, at all times and they want a low buy-in price. Album sales in the US and worldwide have been hit especially hard by the success of music streaming.

That being said, it's only going to get bigger. As Apple Music settles in, and more artists move toward exclusive streaming partnerships, the subscriber base could only grow larger.

People love music, and always will — they just want to get it as fast and as easily as possible.

Ice Cube's real-life son plays him in 'Straight Outta Compton' — but the 2-year audition process wasn't easy

Oshea Jackson Jaimie Trueblood.JPGO'Shea Jackson Jr., 24, is receiving rave reviews for playing Ice Cube in the hit N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton."

You could say he was born to play the role, as he's the real-life son of N.W.A. member Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson. But the part wasn’t handed to him.

ice cube o'shea jacksonTo earn the role, Jackson went through a grueling two-year process that included constant auditions and working with three different acting coaches.

"It's all these things to build confidence within me," Jackson told Entertainment Weekly about the process.

And though Cube was supportive of this son's growth, as a producer on the film he had to find the best actor to play himself.

"If we found a better Cube, then we had to go with the best man for the job," Cube told People. "That's how acting and movie shoots work. So I couldn't give it to him — and I wouldn't if I could because that's easy."

Actors and rappers also auditioned for the role, with a short list coming down to Jackson and two others gunning for the Cube role, Jackson told People.

But the final decision didn’t come down to who had the look or tone of Cube, but to who had the best rapping skills.Straight Outta Compton Jaimie Trueblood Oscar finalThe actors chosen to play the members of N.W.A. had to also be able to convincingly perform the classic songs from the group's debut album, "Straight Outta Compton." There would be no dubbing of voices for the songs featured in the movie — they would have to rap just like the legends they were portraying.

It was Jackson's prowess on the mic that inevitably landed him the role.

Ultimately, Jackson perfectly portrayed his dad in the movie. Many who have seen the film have been blown away by Jackson's performance. Cinema Blend writes that it's Jackson's "uncanny ability to embody his father, from his presence to his quirks, that gives the film its oomph."

Ice Cube O'Shea Jackson Jr Straight Outta ComptonAfter viewing the final cut of the film, Jackson got his father's seal of approval.

"As a parent, you always are proud of the moments when you kid steps up," Cube told Tribune News. "So I'm forever grateful that he stepped up to this challenge and portrayed me in the movie. I couldn't picture anyone else doing it. I was totally engulfed watching him perform. See, I've never been to an N.W.A. concert — I've done an N.W.A. concert, but never had the chance as an audience member to experience it, and I was like, 'Pretty powerful!'"

O'Shea Jackson Jr. is one of Ice Cube's four children with Kimberly Woodruff, the rapper's wife of 23 years.

'19 Kids and Counting' star Josh Duggar reportedly had Ashley Madison account while lobbying for conservative values

Josh Duggar, TLC's "19 Kids and Counting" star and former executive director for the conservative lobbying group Family Research Council, may have been a member of the extramarital-dating site Ashley Madison.

According to a report by Gawker, information from the recent hacking of Ashley Madison connects two memberships to Duggar.

According to the site:

  • A credit card in Duggar's name was used to pay for at least one of the two memberships.
  • The credit card's billing address matched that of his grandmother's Fayetteville, Arkansas, home, where the reality show often shot.
  • One of the accounts was opened in July 2014 and was linked to his home in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
  • The two accounts in Duggar's name overlapped by a few months and were active from February 2013 to May 2015.
  • Citing the leaked data, Gawker said Duggar indicated he was looking for a partner for a series of sex acts, including "experimenting with sex toys," "conventional" and oral sex, "sharing fantasies," and "sex talk."
  • Duggar apparently paid a $250 fee to "receive a money-back 'affair guarantee'" if he didn't have an affair within three months.

joshduggar tlc 19 kids and countingDuring the time in which Duggar was allegedly a member, he was lobbying against causes including same-sex marriage as one of the top-ranking members of the Family Research Council, and he was married to his wife, Anna, for at least five years when the first account was created.

While the details of these accounts strongly suggest Duggar was an Ashley Madison member, Thursday's "Today" show reported that many emails found in the hack could have been faked, as Ashley Madison didn't confirm email addresses.

Before these reports, Duggar had already been embroiled in controversy. In May, reports began to surface that Duggar, the oldest of the Duggar children at age 27, had molested five children, including four of his sisters, about 12 years ago. The parents decided to keep the incidents private instead of alerting authorities when they first learned of the abuse. Later that month, he admitted to the molestation on the family's official Facebook page.

TLC pulled the show from airings in May and then officially canceled the show in July. As a result of the controversy, TLC partnered with the abuse-prevention organizations RAINN and Darkness to Light on a new documentary addressing the issue of molestation titled "Breaking the Silence," which will air commercial-free on Sunday, August 30, at 10 p.m.

TLC had no comment for this article. The Duggars and Ashley Madison didn't immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.

Olivia Wilde perfectly sums up the importance of your 30s

Olivia Wilde Jason Sudeikis

Olivia Wilde is 31 years old, but her philosophy on aging is wise beyond her years.

The "Tron: Legacy" actress, who has a 1-year-old son with fiancé Jason Sudeikis, recently opened up to Elle magazine about getting older, and she perfectly summed up how to best use different decades in life:

I find that most of the women that I really look up to, both women I know personally and women I admire from afar, are in their forties. So now, my thirties seem like this great opportunity to develop the experience and wisdom that will allow me to have an even greater decade in my forties. Thirties feel like a fertile ground. The twenties are for f------ up, that's what you're supposed to do, and your thirties are for using the knowledge you gained from said f------ up to make something, to put that experience toward something useful. And then I think your forties are an opportunity to enjoy what you've worked for.

At age 27, Wilde divorced her husband of eight years, photographer-filmmaker Tao Ruspoli.

Despite starring on hit Fox show "House M.D." at the time, it wasn't until after her divorce that Wilde says she "felt like I finally started my career."

Olivia Wilde Tao RuspoliSince then, the actress has starred in movies such as "Rush" and produced passion projects like "Drinking Buddies." She continued to Elle about leaving her 20s and entering her 30s:

At the end of your twenties, you realize you are inherently flawed, and that's great, and that's what makes you dynamic. For me, personally, it was around 27 when that kind of return to self took place, of living for myself, not living to keep up expectations. You know, I think you go from living for your parents to your peers, maybe back to your parents, maybe to your employer—You go through all these stages of living for other people, and I think at 30 you say, it's my life and I live it for me.

You can buy the infamous house from 'Silence of the Lambs' right now for $300,000 — and it's actually quite charming

The infamous serial killer den from the now-classic 1991 thriller "The Silence of the Lambs" is up for sale, and if you can get past the vision of its fictional resident, Buffalo Bill, dancing around in a skin suit, it's actually quite charming.

The house featured in the Academy Award-winning film is in a Pittsburgh suburb and listed for $300,000.

Silence of the Lambs

The movie is about how young FBI trainee Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) works to track down a psychopathic criminal known as Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine) with the help of a brilliantly insane cannibal, Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins).

The three-story Victorian depicted in the film is spooky and moth-ridden, with a dungeon where Buffalo Bill keeps the young women he abducts and harvests moths to place in the throats of his dead victims.

In real life, the house is bright and cheery with flowery wallpaper and a swimming pool with an old train caboose serving as a pool house.

Silence of the Lambs House

It sits on 1.76 acres and has four bedrooms and one bath across three stories. But the big question on any potential buyer's mind has to be, What about that creepy dungeon?

Happily, it doesn't exist. The homeowners informed the Tribune-Review that those creepy basement scenes were actually filmed on a sound stage.

The current owners, Scott and Barbara Lloyd, have a lot of history in the house. They were married in the foyer in 1976 and have since raised a family there. Now looking to downsize, the Lloyds are building a small ranch in a nearby town.

The Preferred Realty of Berkshire Hathaway has the listing. Keep scrolling for more photos of the famous home.

"Fear the Walking Dead" takes part in the same world as "The Walking Dead," but in the early days of the zombie apocalypse.

From "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman and showrunner Dave Erickson, the show revolves around the "outbreak" of some disease that's making the citizens of a small town into cannibals.

fear the walking dead

"Fear the Walking Dead," is set to premiere Sunday on AMC.

The companion series to "The Walking Dead," "Fear" will be set in the early days of the zombie apocalypse before the undead roamed the earth.

With no comic to base the series on, one would imagine there are a lot of other places in "The Walking Dead" universe to turn to for inspiration. Places like the Telltale video game series, and other book series from "Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman.

But instead, "Fear the Walking Dead" showrunner Dave Erickson told Tech Insider there were a few movies in particular he checked out while doing research.

"I actually watched and re-watched ‘Apocalypse Now’ while I was writing the pilot and then as we got into the season," Erickson told Tech Insider. "There’s something in the surreal juxtapositions of the everyday with the horror of the apocalypse that I just find interesting and there’s a lot of thematics in ‘Apocalypse’ that will play out over the course of our season one, and over the course of the series."

Dennis Hopper Apocalypse Now

"In terms of tone, we wanted this [Fear] to be about the shark you don’t see," he continued. "We wanted it to be about the dread and the anticipation and the fear of what was to come and also this sense of ... hopefully the audience is leaning in because they know more than our characters do, and that to me is fun as well."

Erickson also says "28 Days Later" was among the films he watched. Then when they hired Adam Davidson ("Hell on Wheels") to direct the pilot episode, the two talked about a few other films to take into consideration.

"One of the films that Adam suggested I see was Phil Kaufman's 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers,'" explained Erickson. "It’s a bit dated, but it does very much have that sense of paranoia — what the hell is going on — and there’s a core group of people who can see this coming, but they might be crazy and they’re not being listened to. All of that, I found psychologically was interesting and it’s something we wanted to explore in the pilot and over the course of the first season."

invasion of the body snatchers

Another big influence on "Fear the Walking Dead" was "Five Year," a series Erickson worked on with "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman prior to 2010 for Sony Pictures television, before the original AMC show was in the works.

"It was a pre-apocalyptic family drama," said Erickson of "Five Year." "Basically, it’s the meteor is coming, you have five years to live, what do you do in the time you have left? I had not read the [Walking Dead] comic at that point."

Though Erickson says he wrote a pilot for the series, it never came to be. However, some of the ideas for that original series wound up inspiring and laying some of the foundation for "Fear."

fear the walking dead

"The challenge in that pilot ['Five Year'] … it is very much about the family dynamic because the threat is there, you know that. It’s more aggressive obviously in ‘The Walking Dead’ than in ‘Fear’ because the threat is made manifest fairly quickly, and there are zombies that are trying to kill you. Whereas, we were doing the show which was a little more … it was slightly more esoteric because you know the end of the world is coming but it’s not like there’s a meteor attacking you every single episode," said Erickson. "But yeah ...  the confusion, the complication, the heartache that goes with any family dynamic. I think, yeah, very much there are elements that are in that pilot that I think we used in the pilot and in the show ['Fear the Walking Dead']."

In fact, if you tune into the premiere episode of "Fear" Sunday, you'll be able to catch a nod to "Five Year" in the episode. I can't tell you exactly what it is yet, but keep your eyes on a classroom chalkboard that appears in the premiere.

"Fear the Walking Dead" premieres Sunday, August 23 at 9 p.m. on AMC.

Josh Duggar, executive director of FRC Action, speaks in favor the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act at the Arkansas state Capitol in Little Rock, Ark., Friday, Aug. 29, 2014

"19 Kids and Counting" star and former conservative lobbyist, Josh Duggar, has come clean on his shady online "double life" and and admitted to cheating on his wife amid reports that he was a member of adultery website Ashley Madison.

"I have been the biggest hypocrite ever," he wrote on the official Duggar family website. "While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife."

The mea culpa arrives after reports of his close to two-year Ashley Madison membership spread since a Gawker report late on Wednesday. Duggar's membership was just one of the 37 million identities revealed after the adultery site was hacked in July.

joshduggar tlc 19 kids and counting"I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him," Duggar's statement continued.

Before this controversy, Duggar admitted to molesting at least five young girls, including four of his sisters on the family's official Facebook page. TLC pulled "19 Kids" from airings in May and then officially canceled the show in July.

In addition, Duggar resigned from his position as executive director of conservative Christian lobbying group, the Family Research Council. As part of the FRC, Duggar fought against causes like gay marriage.

"The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings," he also said in Thursday's statement.

Read Duggar's full statement below:

I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.

I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.

I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.

The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.

As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example.

I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.

Dr. Dre's alleged assault on a woman was in the 'Straight Outta Compton' script but it got cut

Dr Dre Kevin Winter

"Straight Outta Compton," the biopic on rap group N.W.A., has received critical acclaim and broken records at the box office during its opening weekend. But there's a glaring omission from the movie that has led to some serious criticism of the film.

One of the most infamous moments in N.W.A. lore was Dr. Dre allegedly physically assaulting female hip-hop journalist Denise “Dee” Barnes.

In 1991, Barnes claims she was viciously beaten by then-N.W.A. rapper Dr. Dre on the floor of the woman's bathroom of the Po Na Na Souk nightclub in Los Angeles.

Barnes says Dre was provoked by a recent segment which aired on her FOX show "Pump It Up!" in which Ice Cube, who had just left the group, trashed his former colleagues.

According to the LA Times, a version of the incident was included in an early draft of the screenplay for "Straight Outta Compton." Corey Hawkins Straight Outta Compton Jaimie TruebloodHere’s a description of the scene from the Times piece:

In the scene, the fictional Dre, “eyes glazed, drunk, with an edge of nastiness, contempt” (per noted from the script) spots Barnes at the party and approaches her.

“Saw that [expletive] you did with Cube. Really had you under his spell, huh? Ate up everything he said. Let him diss us. Sell us out.”

“I just let him tell his story,” Barnes’ character retorts, “That’s what I do. It’s my job.”

“I thought we were cool, you and me,” Dre fires back. “But you don’t give a [expletive]. You just wanna laugh at N.W.A, make us all look like fools.”

The conversation escalates, Barnes throws her drink in Dre’s face before he attacks her “flinging her around like a rag-doll, while she screams, cries, begs for him to stop.”

This is one of numerous scenes that were never shot. Others included Dre being shot four times in the leg, his house catching on fire during a wild party, and a flashback of his younger brother in the fight that ended his life.

At a public Q&A, the film’s director F. Gary Gray addressed the omission of the Dee Barnes incident saying, “We couldn’t fit everything into the movie,” saying he chose stories that better “served the narrative.”

Barnes wrote about the incident not being in the movie for Gawker recently:

Dee Barnes“[My attack] isn’t depicted in 'Straight Outta Compton,' but I don’t think it should have been, either,” she wrote. “The truth is too ugly for a general audience. But what should have been addressed is that it occurred."

Barnes sued Dre for damages and the two settled out of court

This is not the only incident. Dre’s former fiancée Michel’le told Vlad TV that he physically abused her, even “shooting at” her during an argument.

In a story for Rolling Stone recently, Dre admitted to being violent towards women in the past.

dr dre beats“I made some f------ horrible mistakes in my life,” he said.

“I was young, f------ stupid. I would say all the allegations aren't true — some of them are.

“Those are some of the things that I would like to take back. It was really f------ up.

'Lost' co-creator blasts 'Game of Thrones' fans who threaten to stop watching the show

damon lindeloff game of thrones quitters

Damon Lindelof, a co-creator of "Lost" and HBO's "Leftovers," is a big fan of "Game of Thrones" and thinks that people who threaten to quit the show are being ridiculous.

That's just part of what he told Entertainment Weekly when the magazine's reporter asked the producer what he thought of Season 5's daring plot decisions.

"You only need to demonstrate excellence once a season for me to view the entire season as excellent, or the entire show as excellent," Lindelof said of his admiration for the series. "And 'Game of Thrones' is able to do it at any one time."

Lindelof read the first three books of George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire," which "Game of Thrones" is based on, before the show aired and decided to stop there.

"I was like, 'I would love to get to a place in this show where I am genuinely surprised,'" he said.

game of thrones_jon snow_dead finaleThat being said, Lindelof points out that there is one part of modern fandoms that he dislikes – especially when it comes to "Game of Thrones" surprises: Those who threaten to quit watching just because they disagree with a story choice.

Read what he had to say about those types of fans below:

But when you are in the zeitgeist, and when you are loved, there’s this part of it—people threaten to stop watching, people say “it’s not as good as it used to be,” people say, “If you kill this character, I will stop watching the show.” One of the things that people fell in love with about Thrones was its willingness to kill anyone—but you can’t kill Jon Snow, you know? You can kill anyone—but you can’t kill Tyrion. And you can’t kill Dany. As long as you don’t kill those three. And it’s like: “But I thought you loved the show because we killed Ned Stark! He was the un-killable character!” So we have to be willing to do that.

… And I see people pushing against Thrones where it’s like, literally from week to week, someone will say, “This is the most excellent show, this season is firing on all cylinders, it’s never been better.” And then because of one story move—Stannis burns his daughter—suddenly [the reaction is] like, “I cannot watch this show anymore. I’m quitting you, Game of Thrones.” And I’m thinking: “No, you’re not. Don’t be an ass.” That’s like my 8-year-old saying, “We’re not best friends anymore.”

Currently, the biggest movement among fans are those who are holding out hope that Jon Snow will return for Season 6 -- dead or alive.

The 10 biggest winners and losers of the summer movie season

avengers age of ultron

Before we say goodbye to summer, it’s time to look back on how the movie business did the last few months.

Overall, Hollywood had an incredible summer at the multiplex with numerous record-breaking releases — incidentally coming from the same studio. But there were also some major disappointments.

So let’s look back at the movies, people, and studios that make up the winners and losers of this summer movie season.

WINNER: Universal

No one saw this coming. Without a superhero franchise on its summer slate, few could imagine Universal would be at the top of the heap at the global box office.

But it turned out what the studio had this summer were titles that had stories with built-in mass appeal. Thanks to the sensational performances of "Furious 7," "Jurassic World," and "Minions," to name a few, Universal has made more than $5.52 billion at the worldwide box office, making it the highest grossing year ever for a studio.

LOSER: Josh Trank

It's hard to find anyone in Hollywood who lost more over the summer than filmmaker Josh Trank. At one time he was the new "it" director, with the "Fantastic Four" reboot by 20th Century Fox coming out and prepping to direct one of the "Star Wars" anthology projects.

But following reports of Trank’s alleged erratic behavior on the set of "Four," Trank left the "Star Wars" film. Now with "Four" bombing at the box office and Trank’s Twitter response to the critics' reaction, the 31-year-old is at a crossroads.

WINNER: "Straight Outta Compton"

After years of teasing, a biopic on the legendary rap group N.W.A was finally released over the summer, and it turned out a few people wanted to see it.

Actually, a lot of people. The film had the highest-grossing opening weekend for a music biopic of all time with $60 million. And yes, it's another successful release by Universal this summer.

A petition urging Jon Stewart to moderate a presidential debate has suddenly caught fire

While Trevor Noah is gearing up for his "Daily Show" hosting gig, eyes are still on Jon Stewart. And people want his voice back in politics.

Stewart hasn't spoken much about what he has planned for his post-"Daily Show" career, other than that he'll be hosting WWE's "SummerSlam" on Sunday.

But earlier this week, a Change.org petition was created that asks the Commission on Presidential Debates "consider and provide the opportunity to Mr. Stewart to host one of the three major presidential debates directly preceding the 2016 election."

Change.org said in a blog post that the petition became the fastest-growing on the site. On Wednesday morning, it had 6,000 signatures. By Friday morning, it had almost reached its goal of 150,000 signatures.

"Jon Stewart is more than qualified to tackle the moderating job," the petitioner, New Jersey resident Mariel Waters, wrote. "Mr. Stewart has interviewed 15 heads of state, 22 members of the United States Cabinet, 32 members of the United States Senate, 7 members of the United States House of Representatives, and scores of other political leaders from this country and around the world."

In an interview with the radio station New Jersey 101.5, Waters credited the petition idea to a couple of less popular petitions from 2012 that called on Stewart to host a debate.

"With Jon retiring from 'The Daily Show' and a presidential election a little over a year away, I though this would be a great opportunity to get the ball rolling again on this great idea," Waters said.

Michelle Obama wants to make America healthier. She's campaigned to get healthier food in school cafeterias and more children exercising. Now she has asked celebrities including Jimmy Kimmel and Kristen Bell to participate in a series of advertisements that will encourage the nation to eat more "FNV" — Fruits 'N Vegetables.

Or as Jimmy Kimmel says, "Effin Vees."

The purpose of the campaign is to give healthy foods like apples and bananas the same air-time and exposure big brands like McDonald's give Big Macs. Fast food companies spend billions of dollars on advertising, but there's never been a big brand backing healthy natural foods.

Celebrity endorsers for Obama's FNV campaign reportedly include singer Nick Jonas, actress Jessica Alba and athletes Victor Cruz and Stephen Curry. Companies like WWE and Campbell Soup are backing FNV.

The ad campaign was announced in February but the first advertisement, which stars the first lady and Jimmy Kimmel, aired last night on the comedian's show.

Here's the advertisement, which shows Kimmel, a "normal" man, bantering with Obama before ultimately getting to eat a tomato.

A 'Straight Outta Compton' sequel featuring Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur is already in the works

"Straight Outta Compton" took home an astounding $24.2 million on opening night alone, so it makes sense that a sequel is already in the works.

According to TMZ, this time around it'll focus on the famed rap careers of Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, and the early '90s hip-hop group "Tha Dogg Pound."

The movie reportedly will be called "Dogg Pound 4 Life."

The film would be set in what many call a legendary time in hip-hop, when "gangsta rap" label Death Row Records basically dominated the music landscape.

Suge Knight, one of the founders of Death Row, will be played in the movie as well, but he won't be personally associated with the film for obvious reasons.

While music will be the focus of the film, like "Straight Outta Compton," it will also address social issues like police brutality and gang violence.

According to TMZ, the actors in the new biopic won't be the same as "Straight Outta Compton."

Some of hip-hop's most iconic albums were released during the early '90s. Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" was released in 1992, and Snoop Dogg's "Doggystyle" was released in 1993 — both considered to be on the list of top rap albums ever.
