Australian pornographer Garion Hall, who runs the "happy, healthy, and natural" porn site Abbywinters, moved to Holland in 2010 because of its more liberal pornography laws.

Apparently he loves it in Amsterdam. Hall offered the following answer on Quora to a question about facts about a country are mind-blowing to foreigners [republished with permission]:

In Holland (Netherlands). I'm an ex-pat, so these things really stood out to me:

• School finishes at midday on Wednesdays. This is so parents can spend more time with their kids, and many employers allow parents to go home at midday on Wednesdays.
• Amsterdam really could not be less about prostitution and marijuana. They are small parts of the city that some tourists (and few locals) enjoy, but there's so much more to Amsterdam than that!
• Riding a bike is the primary means of transport for most people in cities, regardless of the "event" - going to a wedding (bride included!), dressed up, dressed down, wearing a suit, going to the beach, taking kids to school, moving house, going to work, shopping, having breakfast, talking on the phone, putting on makeup at the lights. Any time a person in LA might consider using a car, Dutchies will ride a bike. No one wears helmets.
• On warm summer evenings, many people will eat on the street (or on their front steps), cos most homes do not have air-con, and the streets are generally lovely.
• Parties often happen on open boats that motor around the canals (as opposed to, at someone's home). They stop near public toilets every so often (and at bottle-shops, to stock up). I find it very weird seeing parties motor past our house, just like a party in someone's living room... but on the water.
• Many people leave their curtains open, so people walking down the street can see right into their home. It's not uncommon to see people going about their lives, including moments that others might consider private, when looking thru windows. It's considered impolite to look thru windows at these times, however.

As for his Web site, Hall told The Age that it was harder to find outdoorsy, sun-tanned girls or good natural light and outdoor shooting space in Holland, which is why he continues to do much of his work with models in Australia.

Ever since word spread that Warner Brothers had picked Ben Affleck to star in the new "Batman" movie, the Twitterverse has exploded with various opinions of people (and things) that would be a #BetterBatmanThanBenAffleck.

Since brands are crazed with real time marketing on Twitter — just look at the quick reaction to the birth of the Royal Baby— it isn't surprising that Lexus jumped on the trending topic. The car company's Twitter handle tweeted: "You can question the superhero. You can't question the supercar. #Batfleck#BetterBatmanThanBenAffleck"

There goes any future endorsement deals.

An unfortunate circumstance that Lexus should have probably researched before letting its social media manager run free is that Affleck has been spotted on numerous occasions (as recently as March) filling up a Lexus. 

For a message that was only retweeted 47 times and favorited 20 times in more than 12 hours, was it worth isolating a famous customer?

Gisele Bündchen was just named the highest-paid supermodel by Forbes. 

Bündchen, known in the industry as simply "Gisele," has held the title for the past seven years. 

She earned a stunning $42 million last year. That's way ahead of second highest-paid model Miranda Kerr, who raked in $7.2 million. 

But before she was a one-woman empire, Gisele was an awkward teenager in Brazil with modest aspirations. 

We chronicled how she broke into the scene and became a legend.

This Sunday marks the 30th anniversary of MTV's "Video Music Awards."

Not only will the event be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. for the first time, but the Moonman award statuette has gotten a makeover.

But one thing never changes at the VMAs: the outrageous fashions.

We take a look back at 30 years of celebrity crazy on the red carpet.

In 2001, the now defunct Destiny's Child went with a Western theme at the awards in NYC.

That same year, Britney Spears bared all.

And performed her infamous snake dance.

A few weeks ago, we brought you some old awesome commercials featuring "Breaking Bad" actor Aaron Paul.

While stumbling upon old Juicy Fruit and Corn Pops commercials, we came across an old Carnation Coffeemate commercial featuring co-star Bryan Cranston from the '80s.

It was great. 

Immediately we started searching for more old Cranston commercials. The actor starred in a bunch of ads from the '80s and '90s.

Since it's "Throwback Thursday," let's revisit a few.

First, here's the Carnation ad where Cranston tells us to ditch milk in our coffee for Coffeemate.

Here he is in a 1982 Atari ad:

He did a few JCPenney commercials. 

Here's a commercial for Shield soap where he was dressed as a skunk.

He was even in a Lays potato chip commercial with Michael J. Fox.

This OFF! commercial reminds us of the "Fly" episode of "Breaking Bad."

And the one that was getting passed around the Internet earlier this week, Cranston's Preparation H commercial.

Tonight marks the 30th year for MTV's "Video Music Awards." 

For the first time ever, the network's awards ceremony is being held in Brooklyn, N.Y.

As the celebrities are rolling in, many are surprised to see Richard Simmons among the star-studded crowd cozying up to celebrities and being absolutely fabulous.

Just what is the 65-year-old fitness god doing at the ceremony? Well, earlier this month he released a song along with lyric video "Hair Do."

Celebrities and music superstars descended upon the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards.

But the night's performances are just as talked about as the crazy fashions.

Katy Perry "roared" in a Cheetah dress, Miley Cyrus channeled her inner Gwen Stefani and Ciara left little to the imagination.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Lady GaGa wore all black custom Prabal Gurung on the red carpet.

Busta Rhymes looked equally as ridiculous.

Gaga opened the show in this nun number.

The first trailer for highly-anticipated film "Divergent" aired during MTV's "Video Music Awards."

Starring Shailene Woodley, the film is based on the best-selling series by Veronica Roth about a future dystopia where people are split up into five factions.

The film is heavily being touted as the next "Hunger Games" and also stars Kate Winslet, Theo James, Miles Teller, Ashley Judd, and Zoe Kravitz.

"Divergent" comes to theaters March 21, 2014.

'90s band 'NSync reunited at MTV's Video Music Awards to perform with old bandmate Justin Timberlake. 

Timberlake was performing a medley of hits before accepting the Vanguard Award, which is the VMA equivalent to a lifetime achievement award, before Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, J.C. Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick joined him.

The group may have been on stage briefly performing for less than a minute, but it was enough to send the entire Twitterverse into a frenzy.

Miley Cyrus shocked pretty much everyone when performing in a nude bra and underwear and grinding on Robin Thicke during her MTV Video Music Awards set on Sunday night.

But possibly no one was more stunned than Will Smith and his two kids, son Jaden and daughter Willow. And it's not like they're so innocent.

Taylor Swift and One Direction frontman, Harry Styles, had a pretty bad break up earlier this year.

So it's no surprise that things got a little awkward Sunday night when the two were both in attendance at MTV's Video Music Awards at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

When One Direction took the stage to present, Swift turned to her buddy Selena Gomez and mouthed “Shut the f--- up.”

Lady Gaga opened up the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards with a colorful performance of her new single, "Applause."

The singer went through a multitude of quick costume changes highlighting the many different wigs she has worn over her career.

"Applause" will be on Lady Gaga's upcoming album "Art Pop."

The Bluth family may be coming to the big screen. 

After "Arrested Development" made a May return to the small screen on Netflix after a seven-year hiatus, creator Mitch Hurwitz tells Rolling Stone that he's working on a film right now. 

"I can't get into much more detail because I don't want to scare anybody off," says Hurwitz. "I don't want to be presumptuous about it. I don't own the property outright – it's a 20th Century Fox property. But everybody seems really into it and really eager to make a movie." 

The film isn't officially a go yet; however, Hurwitz tells Rolling Stone his plan is to make a movie and then another season of the show.

Warning: There are major spoilers ahead!

If you weren't watching MTV's Video Music Awards Sunday night, you were most likely tuned into the other most talked about event of the evening, "Breaking Bad." 

Season 5 Episode 11 "Confessions" has easily become one of our favorite episodes of the AMC series to date. 

Between backstabbing, blackmail, a desperate DEA agent and brother-in-law, and a broken Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), the episode was a lot to process. 

Walter White (Bryan Cranston) continued to deal with the fall out of his brother-in-law finding out he's Albuquerque's big meth dealer and it quickly became uncomfortably ugly. 

Paul was on the verge of tears the entire episode as he was grappling not only with his future, but in grappling with his allegiance to his chemistry teacher. 

Normally, the audience finds it difficult to root against meth kingpin Walter White; however, seeing the absolute pain and destruction he has brought upon his former student and now his family, the man is teetering so dangerously close to the edge of collapse that it's difficult to root against Jesse and Hank. 

What had us on edge about this episode? Let's discuss.

1. Marie tells Walt he should just die. 

Over, what easily becomes the most awkward double dinner date ever, Walt and Skyler awkwardly meet up with in-laws Marie and Hank to discuss the elephant in the room: the knowledge that Walt has been living a secret double life of a meth dealer. 

What's a DEA brother-in-law to do? Does he turn in his brother? 

Marie has a simpler solution to the entire problem: "Why don't you just kill yourself, Walt? … Just kill yourself … This whole thing dies with you." 

Walt had another idea: he got up and left Hank with a "confession" tape. 

In between all of this, an all-too-eager waiter continued to chime in and ask the group for orders of guacamole. The interruptions were happily welcomed as some of the only comic relief in the otherwise high-suspense episode.

2. Walt's "confession" tape turns out to be blackmail!

We knew Walt wouldn't go down without a fight. 

Rather than turn himself in to the police, he decides that if he's going to go down that he's going to take Hank down with him. 

We then sit in shock as Hank and Marie watch Walt spill a twisted, convoluted tale of the DEA cop being the real mind behind the meth empire. Walt was forced into being his chemist. 

The blackmail was perfect because Walt notes that his drug money, a little more than $177,000 paid for Hank's medical expenses when he was badly injured in season 3. 

Unfortunately, that news was a huge blow to Hank who had no idea his medical treatment wasn't covered by his insurance.

3. Jesse goes ballistic on Walt. 

This is where the episode begins to get really emotional. 

Right now, Hank has nothing more than conjecture, and without Jesse's — or Skyler's — testimony, he has no evidence against Walt. The best course of action for Walt is to get Jesse out of the picture. 

After Jesse reluctantly meets up with Walt in the desert, Walt begins giving Jesse this speech about starting his entire life over with a clean slate. However, to Jesse, it's clear Walt wants nothing more than to get his former partner-in-crime out of town and out of the picture and for the first time all episode, he loses it. 

"For once, can you stop working me? … drop the whole concerned dad thing and tell me the truth. It's really about you — you need me gone because your brother-in-law is never going to let up." 

Jesse then asks Walt if he'll kill him the same way he killed Mike. As an audience member, your heart sinks because you think, this is it. Jesse's starting to figure out the truth about Walt. 

It's sad, because from watching early episodes of the series, it's clear that Jesse really looked up to his high school teacher. His mother told him previously that she believed White was the only teacher who believed and him and tried to push him to his full potential. 

In response, Walt does the only thing he can and holds Jesse — this broken man — in his arms. However, Jesse doesn't try to hold him back.

4. Jesse figures out that Walt poisoned Brock!

Saul's (Bob Odenkirk) henchman Huell makes a grave mistake when he pick pocketed  Jesse at his lawyer's office. 

Jesse's ready to follow Mr. White's orders, pick up and leave town with a new identity, but he finds a stash of drugs missing after bumping into Huell. 

Jesse immediately flashes back to a similar occurrence, when he thought Huell swiped a ricin-filled cigarette off of him for Walt to poison a little boy (Brock) in season 4. 

However, we all know, including Jesse, that Brock wasn't poisoned with ricin — it was lily of the valley.  

In a behind-the-scenes video on the episode, both Aaron Paul and show creator Vince Gilligan expand on Jesse's reaction.

"At the end of the day, Jesse was completely right about Walt poisoning Brock," says Paul. "He's broken inside." 

"He realizes Saul's place in this scam that just really played a number on Jesse's head and all hell breaks loose," says Gilligan.

5. Jesse loses it — beating Saul to a bloodied pulp and covering the inside of Walt's house in gasoline! 

After the realization that Walt isn't the man he thought he was, he races back to Saul and punches him senseless before racing over to Walt's — in Saul's Cadillac — and getting ready to torch his home.

Prepare for an entirely different ...

... darker side to Jesse we've never seen before.

 Other observations: Somehow Walter Jr. is STILL the only one — other than baby Holly — in the dark about his father's true nature. Instead, he thinks everyone's troubled about Walt's cancer coming back. Poor Jr.
