What Your Favorite Superhero Says About You

man of steel henry cavill

In the San Diego Convention Center, the janitorial staff is still busy plucking remnants of nerd brains off the carpet in the wake of DC Comics's announcement, in the midst of Comic-Con, that the next Man of Steel movie would have Superman challenging BatmanMan of Steel director Zack Snyder intimated that one of them would be the villain, thus pitting two beloved franchises against each other on the silver screen.

There were reports of thunderous cheers when this was announced, which, well, is sort of the norm at Comic-Con. People like to cheer for everything there. But one of the biggest reasons nerds are elated about this news is because Hollywood is finally acknowledging that not all superheroes are born equal. People have favorites — and want those favorites acknowledged.

Some like the squeaky clean Superman, while others love the dramatic flair of Storm, or the dark edginess Batman. Given the great diversity of superheroes, we all have different affinities. And whom we root for unsurprisingly says something about our own non-superhero selves.

Superman: You don't believe in underdogs. Cheering for Kal-El is sort of like rooting for Duke or the Miami Heat—you like the very best and don't like to be on the losing team. You are probably the firstborn and are a bit of an overachiever, so you're used to setting the example and handling the pressure that comes with it. You have probably enabled "god mode" in a video game or cheated on your golf score at some point. You're loyal to a fault, or at least like loyal people. You're also an optimist and see the good in all, despite what Batman fans says about you.

BatmanDo you secretly enjoy watching Superman (and his fan base) getting his (or their) butt(s) kicked? Yes. You like your heroes damaged, because perfection is silly. If everything were perfect, then why even bother making comic books? You're a realist with a pessimistic bent. You've seen the worst and know that you need to see the ugly side of things to appreciate life fully. You may also be a Mets fan.

Wonder Woman: Practicality means nothing to you, which is why you root for an Amazonian with indestructible bracelets and a lasso of truth. You were kind of hurt when writers gave Diana Prince the power of flight because you knew that it would mean she'd be giving up her invisible plane. Like Superman fans, you're also an optimist, but you also know that people will and can be jerks. For example, the guys who just think Wonder Woman is hot.

Green Arrow: You liked archery before The Hunger Games and Hawkeye made it cool.

Green Lantern: You aren't a fan of Ryan Reynolds. You have a pair of green pants.

The Flash: Swingers is your favorite movie, and you've long argued over beers that Vince Vaughn would make a great Flash if he weren't so big and lumbering. You like slick talkers and fast walkers. You're probably a big Ryan Reynolds fan.

Damian Wayne: You're not-all-that-secretly hoping the royal baby is the anti-Christ.

Aquaman: You were a swimmer in high school who always felt out of place. Your natural habitat was in the water, away from people, and especially your teammates.

Martian Manhunter: Weird, stoic dudes who occasionally go off the deep end do it for you. You probably still listen to a lot of Fall Out Boy, too.

Robin: You have a small man's complex. You think the littler guys deserve more credit, and you're always more interested in the the supporting acting Oscars than the big wigs fancy pants main players. You like Scottie Pippen and Pau Gasol.

Captain America: See Superman fans.

Spider-Man: You love a good underdog story and might have been bullied as a kid. Now you're probably 30, drive a Porsche, have an awesome boyfriend/girlfriend, and live in Manhattan. The kids who beat you up aren't faring as well, and you probably spend a lot of time un-friending them on Facebook.

Ironman: You are the life of the party, and like your heroes to have a little bit of fun. You may also be an early adopter an Apple fanboy.

Hawkeye: You liked archery before Green Arrow and The Hunger Games made it cool.

Cyclops: You like penis jokes, but won't laugh at them in public.

Wolverine: You are probably the shortest person in your family, which your taller family members reminded you of every day. You don't deal well with authority and are completely fine with starting fights, just as long as you can end them. You also like things that aren't yours.

Emma Frost: Love you or hate you, you just don't want to be ignored. You prefer blondes over redheads. You also watched a lot of Mean Girls and probably thought Regina George was the hero and that Cady Heron should've been the one struck by the bus. You are probably enjoying Lindsay Lohan's fall from grace a little too much. You like someone to tell it like it is, preferably with a bit of snark and wit. The Avengers' boys-club-fraternity kinda make you want to barf, but you have too much class to do that.

Gambit: You've tried to throw cards before or at least YouTubed it. You've probably also shoplifted.

Colossus: You are noble. You have terrible siblings who you'd risk your life for. You might also like Thor, though Colossus is way cooler.

Rogue: You like potlucks. You and your mother have a difficult relationship.

Psylocke: You relish a good backstory. You adore psychics, ninjas and psychic ninjas. You, my friend, are a Psylocke fan. Simple things and simple people bore you. Once you've got them figured out, there's no reason to go back, right? And let's be honest, you're not even sure how much or how little telekinesis Psylocke still possesses, which is the beauty of being a Psylocke fan.

The Hulk: There's beauty in simplicity, and that's how you like your heroes. You read Wikipedia entries of movies you don't see. People can't get to the point fast enough.

Storm: You might be a little gay. Or, at the very least, you like your superhero tales dripping in drama. Storm has a flair for the dramatic. So do her fans. In your world, winds don't blow—they swirl with the cold fury of Arctic gales. And when Storm kicks butt, she kicks it with the full force of the hurricane. You probably also like Greek mythology and RuPaul, or liked that one commercial RuPaul had envisioning herself and her drag queens as greek goddesses.

Dazzler: Your best "friend" is a Storm fan.

Jean Grey: No one actually likes Jean Grey. People who say they are big Jean Grey fans can't be trusted.

VW Turned A Beetle Into An Underwater 'Flying' Shark Cage For Shark Week

Discovery Channel's Shark Week might be bad news for seals, but it means great things for Beetles.

Last year, Volkswagen and Discovery transformed a Beetle into an underwater shark cave. Now the companies have partnered up again, and raised the stakes by turning the cage into a convertible.

"Calling it a shark cage is kind of tongue-in-cheek," Luke Tipple, the shark wrangler and marine biologist in charge of driving the "car," told Business Insider. "It's pretty open."

But taking the top off isn't the only adjustment made on the car, which will take a subterranean road trip in Florida and the Bahamas surrounded by Caribbean reef, lemon, and tiger sharks.

"On top of creating a groundbreaking vehicle, this year we planned to make it fly," said Tipple, who is also an executive producer at What We Do Media. "We created a lift with ailerons in the front — it actually flies like a plane."

That means that rather than driving 15 feet underwater on the ocean floor, as it had last year, the VW flew through water that was 60 feet deep at 4 to 5 knots. It had three thrusters, instead of two, with 20 more horsepower per engine.

"If the vehicle falls, it will drop like a rock," said Tipple, who was behind the wheel. But he and VW execs weren't too worried.

"Well, we don't pile shark bait around him," VW advertising and marketing communications manager Justin Osborne told BI. "We aren't going to deal with a great white. We'd make the evening news ... not in a good way, though."

He said that when Discovery and VW first began its partnership last year, the company pitched various ideas for brand-integrated stunts. "A lot of them they threw out because it wasn't true to the science Discovery promotes."

The shark cage idea stuck.

"We were a little surprised — we didn't understand the popularity of Shark Week," which now has a cult-like following, Osborne said. "People were starved for more content and behind the scene footage. They also wanted some more underwater scenes."

So now, through a highly planned social component, viewers can take a subterranean road trip with Tipple, seeing what he sees through 360-degree underwater cameras.

"For me, I'm a complete gadget and gear geek," Tipple said. "I love looking at the controls of things and seeing how they work."

The Shark Week obsessed can watch the shark cage explore actual underwater shipwrecks and follow shark highways where the sharks feed and mate.

"This relationship touches every aspect of Discovery and all the entities of Shark Week," Discovery VP of ad sales Harold Morgenstern added. "It was very natural for us to repeat a champion combination."

Meet Luke Tipple. He's a shark wrangler, marine biologist, and the driver of Volkswagen's convertible Beetle shark cage.

Don't worry, Tipple has had a lot of shark experience. His company, What We Do Media, pairs him with brands all the time. He even cut himself shaving — surrounded by bloodthirsty sharks — for Gillette.

Tipple drove Volkswagen's Beetle shark cage for Shark Week last year.

Don't Expect Christian Bale In The Big Batman / Superman Movie

superman batman crossover

Warner Bros. rocked San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend when it announced a Batman / Superman film was in the works

According to the press release, Bats' big return to the big screen alongside the Man of Steel will release summer 2015. That will position it to go head-to-head with Marvel's highly-anticipated "Avengers" sequel due out May that year.

We don't know much about the film — other than two suspected titles— but we do know that if you're hoping for Christian Bale to reprise his role as the Caped Crusader, you should hang any thoughts back up on the "Dark Knight Trilogy" mantle.

Bale in the Batsuit is just not happening guys.

We know, we know.

This is the ultimate Batman / Superman geekasm fans have been waiting for since a logo hinting at a showdown between the two was featured in 2007's "I Am Legend."

And the big reveal from the Warner Bros. panel consisted of a popular Batman line from 1989 graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns," hinting that a Bale Bruce Wayne may return.

So why wouldn't Warner Bros. bring back the man who brought in more than $2 billion at the box office worldwide.

For one thing, before fans could get carried away, "Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder preemptively pointed out the project will NOT revolve around plot of the graphic novel.

"We're not adapting this thing," said Snyder. "But it is the thing that will help tell that story."

Still not convinced?

There are a few simple reasons to make this a pretty closed case.

bruce wayne batman the dark knight rises1. Christian Bale has said he's done with Batman.

Bale told Entertainment Weekly he won't be the Dark Knight in a "Justice League" film. Though, technically this isn't a "Justice League" film, this film will undoubtedly set the scene for an impending rumored DC team film in 2017.

The slightest of slight slivers of hope: Speaking of "The Dark Knight Rises" to E! back in 2010, Bale has said the only way he would sign on for another movie is if Nolan asks him.

"The thing is that this will be, I believe, unless Chris says different, this will be the last time I'm playing Batman," said Bale.

Nolan will be working on this next film, but as an executive producer. Snyder is set to direct.

2.Look no further than the Superman / Batman logo.

batman superman logo

The Bat logo premiered looks entirely different than that of Nolan's Batman.

The Dark Knight Rises poster

Unlike the sleek, futuristic look of Nolan's Bat symbol, the latest, clunkier logo mirrors the 1989 logo with a small bat head.

1989 logo bat logo

It also looks reminiscent of Warner Bros. most recent computer-animated incarnation of the Caped Crusader in "Beware the Batman."

beware the batman logo 2013

3. The press release.

The biggest theory-killer about any Bale return is a single line from the press release about the movie:

"The new Batman has yet to be cast."

Bottom Line: We pointed out a few weeks ago that it would be disastrous for Warner Bros. to ever replace Bat-Bale. The actor's name has become as synonymous with Batman and Bruce Wayne as Robert Downey Jr. is with Tony Stark and Iron Man.

Since it looks like Warner Bros. wants to cast a new man in the suit, the only chance of Bale in a Batman / Superman movie is in a slight cameo as Bruce Wayne.

Fans of the Caped Crusader know Wayne isn't the only man to wear the Bat suit.

marvel's agents of s.h.i.e.l.d. shieldDirector Joss Whedon thought he was pretty clever when a fan approached the mic at the Comic-Con panel for Avengers spinoff show "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and asked to see a clip.

"We wanted to bring a clip, but with the Disney lawyers there was a mix-up," Whedon said. The crowd ahhhed.

"So we're going to show the entire episode."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." follows a secret squad in the Marvel universe that investigates superhero sightings and strange occurences.

In the series, Clark Gregg reprises his role as Agent Coulson, who also appeared in "Iron Man," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "The Avengers."

The panel has since made its way online. We've gathered the best reveals from the show's Comic-Con debut.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." premieres on ABC on September 24.

7. The show exists because of the fans.

After being killed off in "The Avengers" movie, Agent Phil Coulson lived on in fan-made fiction and art, and through a viral Twitter campaign using the hashtag #CoulsonLives.

"That means everything to me, that this is something you guys asked for," actor Clark Gregg said. "And to work with Joss and people at Marvel who care when that happens and act on it."

6. Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Hulk are no-shows in the pilot. But one big name may make a cameo in a future episode.

When asked about their return, Joss Whedon said, “Probably, but I can’t say who, because that would be spoiling it.”

5. "The Avengers" technology makes an appearance.

Remember Loki's alien army (The Chitauri) from "The Avengers"? Look out for their tech in the series.

4. Cobie Smulders will reprise her "Avengers" role as Agent Maria Hill.

For now, it's reported Smulders will only appear in the pilot. But the actress said she's open to recurring cameos.

"It's possible. Any opportunity to work with Joss or his brother, I am down," Smulders said

Her contract on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" prevents the actress from joining on for the full season.

3. The special effects (e.g. a flying convertible) are mind-blowing and apparently super expensive.

“We’re spending way too much money,” said executive producer Jeffrey Bell.

“We’ll be passing the donation cup,” joked actress Ming-Na Wen, who plays weapons expert Agent Melinda May.

 2. No spoilers here... but we discover how Agent Coulson came back from the dead!

"I didn't like being dead, but I really liked my death," Gregg said in the panel. "I never thought anything could top that. And then I met Lola."

Peter Fonda Is Furious About Dolce & Gabbana's 'Easy Rider' Shirt

Actor and producer Peter Fonda is suing Dolce & Gabbana for "Easy Rider" shirts he says wrongfully uses his image.

The designers have nine shirts with Fonda's image from the 1969 movie, according to Women's Wear Daily. All are variations of him riding motorcycles or dressed in biker gear.

The shirts sell for up to $295 and were available at high-end department stores like Nordstrom, which is also named in the lawsuit. They're no longer available online, WWD reported

As a result of the shirts, 73-year-old Fonda claimed in the suit he had “suffered injuries to his peace, happiness, feelings, goodwill, reputation, image, loss of fair market value of his services, and dilution of his current and future publicity value.”

The fashion house hasn't responded to the lawsuit. Dolce & Gabbana were recently sentenced to jail time for tax evasion.

Lady Gaga Dominates On Forbes' Top-Earning Celebs Under 30 List

lady gaga wheelchairForbes released its Top-Earning Celebrities Under 30 list, and found that pop superstar Lady Gaga is rolling in it.

In $80 million, to be exact — no longer rolling in the 24-karat-gold-plated wheelchair which she commissioned after surgery earlier this year.

In February, Lady Gaga canceled several stops on her Born This Way Ball Tour after sustaining a hip injury while in concert. Had she completed the tour on schedule, she would have likely topped $200 million.

Last year, the Queen Monster placed forth on the list, earning $52 million.

The list included many familiar faces from 2012, just shuffled in order. It dropped Lil Wayne and Robert Pattinson.

World-renowned DJ and producer Calvin Harris made the list for the first time, thanks to his writing credits on Grammy-winning songs like Rihanna's "We Found Love" and show fees from more than 150 gigs in 12 months.

Also new to the list, America's favorite young, stumbling actress Jennifer Lawrence raked in $26 million in 2012.

Lawrence earned under $1 million for "The Hunger Games," one of the top-grossing movies of 2012, but reportedly received a handsome raise for the sequel, due in theaters in November.

Here's the complete star-studded list, with the 2012 rankings in parentheses:

1. Lady Gaga — $80 million (#4)

2. Justin Bieber - $58 million (#2)

3. Taylor Swift — $55 million (#1)

4. Calvin Harris — $46 million (NEW)

5. Rihanna — $43 million (#3)

6. Katy Perry – $39 million (#5)

And then they dominated the Billboard charts at number 1 for six weeks straight. So they had a big, excited crowd to see them and openers Tegan and Sara when they played at Pier 26.

Stefan Serie Princess Long Island

A Long Island middle school health teacher was forced to resign his position after appearing as an extra on the Bravo reality show "Princesses: Long Island," according to the Daily News.

Stefan Serie was a well regarded health teacher at Merrick Avenue Middle School who, in his words, was "coerced" into quitting after appearing shirtless in a pool party scene. The Bravo series follows six self-proclaimed "Jewish-American Princesses" who still live with their parents.

As the Daily News writes, "the 30-year-old flashes his cut abs and laughs in the background while the rest of the 'Princess' crew drinks alcohol from red plastic cups, bounces around in their teeny bikinis and dishes about their dream boyfriends." You can watch the full episode here.

Serie tells the Daily News that "I didn’t do anything that I would tell my students not to do." The teacher had his tenure offer rescinded and was pressured into quiting his $75,000 job, he says.

Since appearing as an extra, Serie has distanced himself from the controversial show. He told the Daily News, "The behavior of the cast members was not something I wanted to be a part of moving forward."

Serie was popular among students and parents, and there is a rally in support of him planned for this evening, News 12 Long Island reports. Here's what one former student had to say about him on RateMyTeachers (lightly edited for typos):

My favorite teacher in all my years. He was the nicest when i had him- also the best wrestling coach. He is very Knowledgeable about his topics and taught me a lot. Crazy Video Of Amanda Bynes Washing Her Gasoline Soaked Dog In A Liquor Store

Amanda Bynes was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold yesterday after the 27-year-old former Nickelodeon star started a fire in a random person's driveway.

But before police picked up Bynes after the incident, she walked into a nearby liquor store to try and wash off her gasoline soaked dog. Bynes allegedly used a canister of gasoline to fuel a fire outside a random elderly woman's home in Thousand Oaks, CA.

TMZ obtained surveillance video of the actress acting erratically in the store before entering an Employee’s Only area in the back. The cashier told TMZ he saw Bynes rinsing the dog in the sink of the private bathroom, and smelled the strong stench of gasoline.

When the cashier confronted Bynes, she supposedly “freaked out” and left the store.

Shortly after, Bynes was picked up by police and hospitalized on a 5150 hold. Law enforcement officials assured TMZ Bynes' dog is safe and with her parents.

'Spider-Man' Actor Andrew Garfield Says Spidey Won't Be Gay, Despite His Wishes

Earlier this month, "Amazing Spider-Man" actor Andrew Garfield philosophized with Entertainment Weekly about what it would be like to have a gay Spider-Man.

"‘What if MJ is a dude?’ Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality? It’s hardly even groundbreaking!"

His comments about the web slinger's love interest Mary Jane becoming a guy — preferably Michael B. Jordan if Garfield was to have his way — sparked a lot of buzz.

During the "Amazing Spider-Man 2" panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Garfield reassured the crowd Spidey won't start playing for the other team any time soon.

"It would be illogical for me in the third movie to be kind of like, 'You know what, I'm kind of attracted to guys.'" "That's just not going to work. It's clear."

Garfield said his comments were nothing more than pure conjecture.

"It was just a simple philosophical question about sexual orientation, prejudice," said Garfield. "I obviously long for the time where sexual orientation and skin color is a small thread in the fabric of a human being."

"To speak to the idea of me and Michael B. Jordan gay together, it's not ... it was tongue and cheek," he added.

Royal Baby Name Announced — George Alexander Louis!

On Monday, Kate Middleton gave birth to an 8lb 6oz baby boy  — and we finally know his name.

World, meet the heir to the throne: George Alexander Louis!

The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, Clarence House confirmed.

George was a favorite name among bookies, with 8/1 odds on paddypower.com.

Royal expert Victoria Arbiter guessed the baby's name would be George, telling MSN weeks ago that "George is a popular guess for a first name and also a popular name choice for monarchs: There have been six previous King Georges."

The last King George was Queen Elizabeth II's father, King George VI.

Alexander is believed to have been picked by the couple to honor the Queen, whose middle name is Alexandra.

The name Louis is likely for Prince Philip's uncle, Louis Mountbatten, who died in 1979. Louis is also part of the baby's father's full name of William Arthur Philip Louis.

Leaving the hospital yesterday, Prince William said his newborn had yet to be named.

"We are still working on a name so we will have that as soon as we can," William told reporters, adding that his son "has got a good pair of lungs on him. He's a big boy, quite heavy. "

"It's very emotional," Middleton said of becoming a mother on Tuesday. "It's a moment that any parent having just given birth will know what this feeling feels like."

The First Episode Of Avengers Spinoff 'Agents Of Shield' Received Huge Standing Ovation From Fans

marvel's agents of s.h.i.e.l.d. shield

ABC's Avengers spinoff show "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." made a killing when the pilot premiered at Comic Con last week.

The crowd responded with a standing ovation, going nuts at the surprise debut.

Critics who exist outside Marvel's nerd herd are about three-quarters as enthused.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," following an elite squad that investigates superhero sightings, delivers stunning special effects, strong character development, and "Whedonesque" dialogue.

Fans are saying the dead-on humor reminds them of director Joss Whedon's "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" days.

The show promises many Easter eggs from the Marvel universe, which is awesome for people who get the inside jokes and sometimes off-putting for those new to the comics.

Some are saying the action is down-sized compared to the major motion pictures, demonstrating that the showrunners aren't trying to bite off more than they can chew.

"Trying to pull off a cinematic idea on a TV budget is one of the show’s big challenges," said Entertainment Weekly's James Hibberd. "If anything, 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' was less lavish and action-driven than I expected. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. It can be a mistake to make a costly pilot if it means that regular episodes look dinky by comparison."

Here's what else people are saying:

Brooks Barnes of The New York Times says some of the characters are difficult to understand.

"The first episode had a complicated storyline that, at moments, was hard for this (admittedly nongeek) reporter to follow. Two characters with extremely thick accents — an engineer, Leo Fitz, played by Iain De Caestecker, and a biochemist, Jemma Simmons, played by Elizabeth Henstridge — didn’t help matters.

"Still, the episode featured stunning special effects (a flying convertible, for instance) and looked expensive, something that panelists confirmed would continue beyond the pilot."

Marvel fans will like it. Just don't expect it to be like the movies.

IGN:

"Whedon’s cleverness and wit run strong through Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and while there are a couple of moments that don’t quite work, in terms of humor, for the most part, this is an incredibly crowd-pleasing pilot. Those looking for the scale of the Marvel movies will be disappointed – this is a high budget TV series, but it is a TV series – but S.H.I.E.L.D. quickly hits the right notes to firmly show how it exists on the ground level of the Marvel universe."

Entertainment Weekly:

"The dialogue was, to give a shout out to a certain fan site, Whedonesque. It was the best aspect of the pilot, and precisely what you expect from this team. Smart, witty, self referential, with lines playing off your expectations (such as a riff on Spider-Man’s “with great power comes great responsibility” line).

"My TV-business side wondered this a few times: Is this show accessible enough to be a hit? When you have a joke referencing “the sweaty cosplay girls crowding around Stark Tower,” okay, that’s funny if you’ve seen the Iron Man films and you know what cosplay is. I suspect that’s 80 percent of EW readers. Yet I bet it’s a much, much lower percentage of ABC viewers."

io9's Charlie Jane Anders says there's not a lot at stake in terms of drama.

"The whole tone of the pilot is amazingly laid-back — there's almost no real danger or suspense for most of it, and where most TV pilots hammer you with "here's why you should care," 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' assumes you already care. You saw 'The Avengers' five times, right? So you're already on board, and we can just hang out and crack jokes.

"What the pilot doesn't have is a lot of drama or suspense. There are almost no stakes in this first episode, and there's almost no effort to get you excited if you weren't already excited after 'The Avengers.'"

And some reactions on Twitter from those who watched the pilot's premiere at Comic-Con:

Digital Music Downloads Are Plummeting As Users Turn To Streaming

Here's a chart from Digital Music News' Paul Resnikoff showing the collapse in growth of digital music downloads (the left axis shows percent change).

Half-way through 2013, downloads are down -2.3%. It's the first time there's ever been a negative tick:

In terms of raw downloads, Nielsen showed 682.2 million paid downloads through June 30th, compared with 698 million at the same point last year.

It's an interesting counterpoint to a study just released by Spotify suggesting its streaming service had helped closed the gap between paying for and buying pirated music in the Netherlands.

In June, Resnikoff posted data that prefigured the current table, along with the following chart showing the enormous growth among paid Spotify subscribers:

"This is officially the year that downloads stopped accelerating, and potentially, gave way to conditional ownership and streaming models," Resnikoff writes.

The Two Potential Titles For The Batman/Superman Movie Are Lame

superman batman crossover

It looks like there are two movie title options for the big Batman / Superman movie.

"Batman Vs. Superman" or "Superman Vs. Batman."

Really.

During the Superman 75th Anniversary panel at Comic-Con Comicbook.com reports "Man of Steel" screenwriter David S. Goyer revealed the two names.

"So over in Hall H at the Warner Bros., I guess most people know now, at the end of the Warner Bros. panel Zack came out and he brought Harry Lennix, who plays General Swanwick in Man of Steel and we –- actually, Harry read a bit from [The Dark Knight Returns] and so the next film we’re making, we’re already in pre-production, comes out in summer of 2015. We’re actually not sure whether the title is Superman vs. Batman or Batman vs. Superman but yes, it’s –- that rematch, that combination, the two guys onscreen and that’s happening."

A lot of people missed out on the news because the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" panel was taking place simultaneously.

If you head to film sites for both potential names, you'll find Warner Bros. already has registered web domains.

SupermanVsBatman.com will take you to DC's Superman page.

BatmanVsSuperman.com will take you here.

It looks like Warner Bros. may be leaning toward the latter. The studio hasn't made any comment.

The title's pretty uninspiring.

Part of the creative process behind first Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy and then Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" was that they didn't use the generic names for the superheroes like "Iron Man" and "Hulk."

That's what set the DC universe apart at the box office from Marvel.

When Warner Bros. first considered a Batman / Superman movie — teased in 2007 — it was also aimed to be called "Batman vs. Superman."

According to David Hughes book "Tales from Development Hell," the failed "Batman Vs. Superman" project paved the way for the Nolan's trilogy.

Warner Bros. has always had a difficult time putting the right label on any project between its two biggest superheroes.

batman superman animated movie Previous 1997 animated feature film was titled "The Batman / Superman Movie," featuring the Joker and Lex Luthor as villains. Sometimes, the movie is referred to as "World's Finest" — a comic series featuring the two heroes. In 2002, comic series Superman/Batman was released. The more recent 2009 animated picture was called "Superman / Batman: Public Enemies."

Of course, we understand why Warner Bros. would lean toward such a title.

Pitting superheroes against each other sounds like box-office gold to a general audience.

You can't use the "Dark Knight" title since that's reserved to Nolan's trilogy.

And Warner Bros. can't exactly call the film "Caped Crusader Meets Son of Krypton."

The easiest way for people to identify with the film is to have the names of the two superheroes in the title. How do you do that without getting clunky?

Perhaps something like: "Batman & Superman: Gotham City Crisis" (or Metropolis) or "Batman & Superman: Blackest Night." Even "Batman & Superman: No Man's Land" makes sense.

These titles of course are presuming there's a Lex Luthor connection in the "Man of Steel" sequel — which was hinted in the film

What do you think of the potential titles?

Bruce Willis Gives Painfully Rude Interview During 'Red 2' Press Junket

Bruce Willis Mary Louise Parker red 2 interview

Bruce Willis is a notoriously tough — or cranky — interview subject.

But the 58-year-old actor took things to a whole new level recently when being interviewed by perky reporter Jamie Edwards from Britain's "Magic at the Movies" during a press junket for his latest film, "Red 2."

Despite Edwards' best efforts to engage Willis, the actor did nothing to hide his boredom throughout the five-minute banter.

"We're just selling the film now," Willis says straight off the bat, "the fun part was making the movie."

When the interviewer asks Willis about a car chase scene in the film, he responds: "I'm thinking about driving right now. I can hardly keep my mind on this interview. I'm thinking about driving somewhere."

At the end of the interview, Willis tells the reporter sarcastically, "you have some great questions here Jamie," before adding: "Great chat."

Despite Willis' rude responses, his co-star and and interview partner, actress Mary-Louise Parker, says the actor was always "very chivalrous" on set, bringing her coffee, blankets if she was cold and making sure she was always taken care of.

Willis didn't give the interviewer the same treatment. Watch the cringe-worthy interview below:
