Chaz Bono Cher

Chaz Bono has gone through many body transformations.

But Cher's 44-year-old son's latest look is a much slimmer frame — 60 pounds lighter, to be exact.

"I've just changed the way I eat," he told People at the GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday. "Diets don't work. You just have to change what you eat, and I have."

For Bono, that has meant "I really avoid grains and starches, so meats and vegetables and fruits are my diet. I make them all different ways to keep it interesting."

Bono used the Freshology delivered-meal plan to achieve his initial weight loss, but now, he says "I cook a lot of different stuff."

As for his work out routine, the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant says "I still enjoy dancing. I still take classes." He also added that he does regular martial arts training.

Bono elaborated on his diet and fitness regimen on Twitter:

'American Idol' Briefly Considered Replacing Mariah Carey With Jennifer Lopez

$

Fox’s music competition American Idol maybe should switch to the drama series awards categories with all the behind-the-scenes drama on the show. There has been another wave of rumors and speculation over the past 12 hours. Here’s what I’ve learned. There was an idea at Fox about a month ago to replace new judge Mariah Carey with her predecessor Jennifer Lopez midway through the live shows. I hear Lopez was approached and was very interested. (She has a new single coming out.)

However, I hear there was concern among some parties involved that the move could appear desperate and further damage the Idol brand. It is unclear how much in the loop on the replacement plot Carey and her team were but I hear they didn’t have to resort to legal action as the idea of a midstream judge switcheroo went away after a brief discussion.

However, it has got to have a lingering effect on the morale of the Idol judges, who already know they were likely on the chopping block for next season because of plummeting ratings. With Lopez, the talk to replace Carey morphed into a guest appearance on Idol, which is still a possibility for the show’s upcoming season finale.

Karlie Kloss is Victoria's Secret's latest Angel

The 20-year-old could take the place of Miranda Kerr, the longtime brand ambassador who just confirmed her departure.

While 40 models walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show every year, only about 10 models hold the coveted title of Angel. The gig involves constant appearances on behalf of the brand.

Kloss is known for her distinctive walk and her distinguished fashion career. She's the first Angel in memory to appear in an ad campaign with short hair.

She also has a fancy apartment and rich boyfriend to boot.

Karlie Kloss grew up in St. Louis, and is a trained classical ballerina. She told W Magazine that at over six feet tall, she was a foot taller than her prom date in heels.

She was discovered at a local fashion show at 13 and signed with IMG Management.

Soon, she began walking in fashion shows around the world and became known as the "panther" for her distinctive prowl.

Here's What The Cast Of 'Wayne's World' Looks Like Today

The cast of 1992's hit film "Wayne's World" gathered Tuesday for a 21-year reunion screening at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

The night’s panel event sold out in 90 seconds once tickets went on sale.

The Hollywood Reporter called it "a public burying of the hatchet" after actor Dana Carvey and director Penelope Spheeris both notoriously fell out with Mike Myers after he blocked Spheeris from directing the 1993 sequel because "she'd ignored his edit suggestions on the original."

Carvey and Myers, who originated the "Wayne's World" sketch on "Saturday Night Live," have apparently never been close.

But the pair fooled audiences in the '90s playing best friends Garth Algar and and Wayne Campbell. They even won the MTV Movie Award in 1992 for Best On-Screen Duo:

Today, Dana Carvey, 57, and Mike Myers, 49, get along just fine. While both have shorter hair, it appears Myers has taken Carvey's cue on the glasses:

Here's the entire "Wayne's World" cast Tuesday night in Beverly Hills: (From left) Lara Flynn Boyle, Penelope Spheeris, Mike Myers, Lorne Michaels, Rob Lowe and Dana Carvey.

Probably the most unrecognizable from the 2013 cast photo is 43-year-old actress Lara Flynn Boyle. Here's what she looks like today:

And here's the actress playing character "Stacy" in 1992's "Wayne's World":

Awesome Sketches From The Storyboard That Brought 'Oblivion' To Life

$

tom cruise oblivion storyboardJack Harper (Tom Cruise) heads down to planet Earth — or what’s left of it anyway — to find a downed surveillance drone that has landed in the charred remnants of the New York Public Library’s Rose Reading Room. It’s only when Harper hits the ground of this cavernous space that he realizes he’s entered a trap. Someone — or something — wants to capture this drone repairman alive.

See the storyboard art for the film here >

Whether he’s rappelling into a forgotten old library, flying through a lightning storm in his space age Bubble Ship or driving a motorcycle across the hulk of a George Washington Bridge long ago destroyed by alien invasion, each of Harper’s movements (not to mention the camera’s) was choreographed thanks to a sequence of storyboards.

Based on a graphic novel that he wrote in 2010, Oblivion is just the second feature film for director Joseph Kosinski. A trained architect and visual effects designer, Kosinski has always understood the importance of storyboarding to visualize each frame of a movie before the cameras start rolling. And while putting pencil to paper (or stylus to tablet) may seem positively old-fashioned in the world of nine-figure blockbusters, a talented team of storyboard artists remains the first step in making any film unforgettable.

“You can draw it really quickly, put it on the wall and you kind of have a movie,” says one of Oblivion’s storyboard artists, Phillip Norwood, who counts The Abyss and Terminator 2 among his credits. “It doesn’t move, it has no sound, but if you know what you’re looking at, you see it.”

Each of Oblivion’s storyboard artists wore many hats — director, cinematographer, set designer, editor — in taking a first crack at bringing Kosinski’s screenplay to life. “Everyone sees something in their head when they read a script, but they don’t see the same thing,” adds Norwood. “You’re taking the words and visualizing them in a way so that everyone knows what the director wants to see.”

Sometimes Kosinski will have a crystal clear idea in mind, relaying his vision shot-by-shot to the artist tasked to draw that particular section of the film. Other times he’ll have only part of a sequence in his head, encouraging the storyboard artist to fill in the blanks. In either case, the process is one of trial and error, with the artists chipping away at the film one tiny chunk at a time until a finished product emerges.

For a director as visual as Kosinski (see his debut, Tron: Legacy, for proof) the process is vital. “Joe really values the importance of having everything on paper or the computer screen before shooting,” says Richard Bennett, an Oblivion artist who has plied his trade on smash hits like 300 and The Avengers. “If it doesn’t work on paper, it most likely won’t work for the real thing.”

Oblivion storyboard art

Whether they’re using old-fashioned pencil and paper or Cintiq, a combination monitor and tablet that lets an artist draw directly onscreen, the team knows not to get too attached to anything they create. “The idea is not to fall in love with the drawing,” Norwood explains. “You’ve got to feel free to say, ‘OK, these 25 aren’t working,’ rip them off the wall, throw them in the trash and start over.”

“I always say we don’t get paid to do nice drawings; we get paid to come up with interesting ideas,” adds Bennett, who learned from his 10-year career in comics that not even the best art can make up for a weak story. And as much as Oblivion’s art department pre-designed the film’s signature elements — like Harper’s iconic Bubble Ship, which was made into a 3D model the artists could play with for reference — Bennett and Norwood were free to add to the film’s concept design.

In a film that features firefights with rogue drones, pulse-quickening space chases, chillingly beautiful vistas of a post-nuclear Earth and even a sexy skinny-dip (hey, you’ve got to find a way to blow off steam after an alien invasion), it was the emotional range of Oblivion that was the highlight for artists like Bennett.

“To see it translated into real, live action is very fulfilling. I’m always blown away. Hopefully whatever you’ve done is reflected in the final cut." – Richard Bennett, "Oblivion" artist

“I’ve always liked the idea of being able to handle anything that comes to my table,” he explains. “Joe gave me stuff that tended to be a little more moving, and that’s fine by me. I like action, but I like emotional scenes that let me work with shadows and reflections.”

For Norwood, it was the challenge of creating a post-apocalyptic Earth in 2073 that stood out. “I was a big fan of Planet of the Apes,” he explains, “and Oblivion really felt like the first part of that film where Charlton Heston is wandering around by himself.” (Director Kosinski would no doubt agree. If you look closely, what’s left of the Statue of Liberty’s torch zooms by in one chase scene — clearly a wink to Apes fans.)

Norwood and Bennett have moved on to new projects, but each will head to the theater to experience their handiwork firsthand. “To see it translated into real, live action is very fulfilling,” Bennett explains. “I’m always blown away. Hopefully whatever you’ve done is reflected in the final cut, but you learn by seeing how much of what you did is retained and how much is changed.”

True, it can be hard not to notice when the director opted to go in another direction — and just as jarring when Tom Cruise strikes the exact pose you dreamed up on your drawing table. But either way, it’s impossible not to get swept up in the action. “When a movie’s working you don’t care,” laughs Norwood. “You’re just along for the ride.”

Narcotics Found On Justin Bieber's Tour Bus

After police noticed a "strong smell" coming from Justin Bieber's tour bus parked on a fan-infested street outside of the Grand Hotel in Sweden Wednesday, cops raided the bus and found "a small amount of narcotics," reports TMZ.

"When the bus left the hotel and headed toward the Globe Arena, the officer contacted a special narcotics unit, which issued a warrant to search Bieber's bus," according to TMZ.

Swedish papers are saying police found weed on the floor of the bus, along with a a stun gun — which requires a permit. No one was on the bus at the time of the search in the arena parking lot.

Swedish police tell TMZ that no one will be charged because "they have no idea who was in possession of the drug since the bus was empty" thus, "they have no clue who brought it on."

Bieber was with his friend Lil Za hours before the incident — the same pal who was seen smoking pot with Bieber at an L.A. home earlier this year.

The two were goofing around in front of the tour bus wearing matching onesies, pictured above.

Since the tour bus bust, Bieber tweeted:

J.J. Abrams Decided To Direct 'Star Wars' Because Of His Wife

JJ Abrams Vanity Fair Oscars PartyWhen it was announced J.J. Abrams will direct the next "Star Wars," the news — for the most part — was met with positivereception.

After all, the future of the franchise would be in the hands of someone known to be a big "Star Wars" fan and who was no stranger to sci-fi.

However, the news was also unexpected.

Just last year, Abrams confidently told both Entertainment Weekly and Empire magazine he wanted nothing to do with the franchise.

"I wouldn’t even want to be involved in the next version of those things,” Abrams told Empire. “I declined any involvement very early on."

So, what changed his mind?

In the upcoming May issue of Playboy, Abrams reveals what occurred to change his mind about directing one of the most beloved franchises in Hollywood—and, it wasn't solely his secret meeting with Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy.

"It was a wild time. I was near the light at the end of the tunnel with my work on Star Trek. I felt I needed a bit of a breather, actually. But then Kathleen Kennedy [the new Lucasfilm head who oversees Star Wars] called again. I’ve known her for years. We had a great conversation, and the idea of working with her on this suddenly went from being theoretical and easy to deny to being a real, tangible, thrilling possibility. In the end it was my wife, Katie, who said if it was something that really interested me, I had to consider it."

If it weren't for Abram's wife, we'd have someone different at the helm of the "Star Wars" franchise.

And, don't worry "Trek" fans, despite his heavy workload Abrams told Playboy there's still a chance he may return to direct the next "Star Trek."

"I would say it’s a possibility," said Abrams." "We’re trying to figure out the next step. But it’s like anything: It all begins with the story."

H&M has chosen Beyoncé to front their latest Summer campaign full of bikinis and beach frocks.

In a 90-second video entitled "Beyonce as Mrs. Carter in H&M" directed by Jonas Akerlund, the singer whips her hair back as she sings her latest song "Standing on the Sun.”

H&M has described the campaign as “an epic fantasy, with glamour, drama and also a sense of humor.”

B, for her part, has said “I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements — fire, water, earth and wind.”

“It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island,” said Beyonce. “It felt more like making a video than a commercial.” Watch below:

Brian Stelter: Willie Geist Will Replace Matt Lauer On The Today Show By January 2015 (CMSCA)

$

New York Times reporter Brian Stelter is the authority on morning show television.

He's just written a book about it called "Top Of The Morning."

The deeply sourced book's central focus is the ratings war between ABC's "Good Morning America"long-term underdog, and NBC's "Today" show, the 15-year champion that eventually lost its perch last year.

In the book, Stelter also writes about how NBC pushed Ann Curry from her co-hosting gig on "Today," and how Matt Lauer has taken much of the public blame.

The ugliness, and "Today's" ratings decline, has led many to wonder if Lauer will still be hosting "Today" after his current contract ends in 2014.

So, when we had Stelter at Business Insider to discuss the new book, we asked him: Who's going to be hosting the Today show on January 2015?

Watch for his answer:

Mark Zuckerberg And Priscilla Chan Went On A Low Key, Burger-Filled Vacation in Hawaii

$

It's a slow news day in the tech world, so here goes ...

Recently, Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan vacationed on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

For a couple worth $13 billion, the five-day vacation seems pretty low-key. Sure, they stayed in a beach front house, but Zuckerberg was seen in his usual T-shirt and sandals getup, clutching his iPhone, and eating burgers at picnic tables. The two have traveled to Hawaii as recently as December; Zuckerberg is reportedly looking to buy more real-estate there.

This isn't the first low-key trip the couple has taken. On their honeymoon Chan and Zuckerberg were seen chowing down on McDonald's in Italy.

It's certainly more low key than the vacation Jack Dorsey recently took. The Twitter co-founder was spotted in St Barts on a yacht with a model.

Here's one of the photos from the trip, via Twitter. More here on The Daily Mail.

The Victoria’s Secret Angel Who Gave Up Her Wings For God

kylis bisutti victorias secretKylie Bisutti reveals how she had the modeling world – and perfect body, at her feet, but gave in all up in favour of her faith.

Her name might not ring a bell, but Kylie Bisutti could have become a multi-millionaire and as famous as supermodels Heidi Klum or Gisele Bundchen.

Instead, she’s chosen the quiet life with her husband in Montana over lingerie shoots, revealing her lifestyle choice in a new book which slams the modelling industry.

I’m No Angel: From Victoria’s Secret Model to Role Model, is Bisutti’s way of spreading the message that “beauty isn’t about what you look like, it’s about what’s in your heart.”

IN PICTURES: Victoria's Secret Angels through the years

Now 23, Bisutti was 19 and happily married when she won a competition to become the new Victoria’s Secret ‘Angel’. The lingerie giant has over 1,000 stores and despite never advertising, enjoys a healthy amount of public attention thanks to its annual catwalk extravaganza and product campaigns starring its hand-picked Angels, who are regularly cited as some of the most beautiful women in the world.

IN PICTURES: Victoria's Secret Models on and off duty

But Bisutti, a devout Christian, was not comfortable with her new, titillating image. “It wasn’t about modeling clothes anymore; I felt like a piece of meat,” she says in an extract from her book, which as been serialized in the New York Post.

In it she lifts the lid on the pressures to lose weight (when her castings once dried up her agent told her it was because she looked like a “fat cow”) and how she was encouraged to play down her marriage in order to behave like a flirt.

The straw which broke the camel’s back came when a photographer kept urging her to pose too provocatively. “This is what Victoria’s Secret models do,” he told her. “This is why they hired you. If you want to be like Gisele, this is what you have to do.”

READ: Karlie Kloss: the newest Victoria’s Secret Angel

She called time on her career via Twitter with the message: “I quit being a VS model to be a Proverbs 31 wife” (Proverbs says ‘Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised’).

Bisutti now channels her energy into speaking tours and her blog, imnoangel.org, which has posts from everything about why she deleted her Facebook profile to tips for getting rid of cellulite.

She also has a ‘Christian clothing line’ in the works, aimed at women of all shapes and sizes.

Here's the official statement that was provided to Kotaku. It doesn't specifically say how many people will be laid off though:

In recent weeks, EA has aligned all elements of its organizational structure behind priorities in new technologies and mobile. This has led to some difficult decisions to reduce the workforce in some locations. We are extremely grateful for the contributions made by each of our employees – those that are leaving EA will be missed by their colleagues and friends.

These are hard but essential changes as we focus on delivering great games and showing players around the world why to spend their time with us.

Earlier this month, EA was voted the worst company in America, beating out Bank of America. The company's CEO, John Riccitello, stepped down last month.
