Anne Hathaway And Hugh Jackman Stole Their SAG 'Les Mis' Jokes From An Internet Meme

hugh jackman anne hathaway

One of the funniest moments from last night's SAG Awards was when Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway took the stage to introduce their film "Les Misérables."

After giving the traditional description for the musical, the pair humorously described the film according to the actor's previous roles, or as Jackman said, "2013 terms":

"Wolverine is being chased by Gladiator."

"Catwoman gets knocked up and for some ungodly reason goes to see Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter and Borat."

After comments from the Twitterverse, Mashable pointed out that the actors' dialogue seems particularly close to a popular Internet meme which got passed around after the film's December release reviewing the film in a similar fashion.

The concepts in the meme are by no stretch of the imagination difficult to draw forth, so it's difficult to believe no one else made the connection. (Who doesn't see Wolverine when looking at Jackman?)

Here are Hathaway and Jackman delivering their dialogue:

And here's the Internet meme:

Ethan Hawke has listed his six-bedroom townhouse in New York's Chelsea neighborhood for $6.25 million, according to celebrity real estate blogger The Real Estalker.

The home measure 3,500 square feet with four floors, laundry machines, and a private backyard garden. The Corcoran Real Estate Group is selling the property, and the listing is potentially the most colorful of its kind that we've ever seen — the house is filled with bright red walls, yellow cabinets, and green bookshelves.

Hawke, made famous by the movies Training Day and Dead Poet's Society, has lived in the home since purchasing it back in April of 2005 for $3 million.

The house sits on a tree-lined street in NYC's Chelsea neighborhood.

How Fox Searchlight Made The Biggest Deal At Sundance: $9.75M On An Egg Sandwich

$
0
0

jim rashThe biggest sale at Sundance this year -- "The Way, Way Back" -- began with a promise and ended with a fried egg sandwich.

Producer Kevin J. Walsh, a former assistant to Scott Rudin, told the agents selling his movie that he’d make everyone food if they closed a big deal. But before he could cook, a bidding war broke out that would pit the favored Fox Searchlight against a half-dozen other studios, including Lionsgate, Paramount, Magnolia, FilmDistrict and Open Road.

Fox Searchlight won out and paid one of the highest prices for a Sundance movie in recent years -- $9.75 million -- for the story of an alienated 14-year-old ("The Killing's" Liam James) on summer vacation.

The one big thing in their favor: Once “The Way, Way Back” premiered on Monday, everyone knew it would sell. The film not only drew a standing ovation, but almost every distributor stayed through the Q&A session with the filmmakers -- a "rare" occasion, as one person close to the deal told TheWrap.

Fox Searchlight was an early starter out of the gate. It had already won an Oscar with Rash and Faxon, who co-wrote Alexander Payne’s "The Descendants."

And at one point it was going to produce the film, back when Shawn Levy was going to direct and it was called "The Way Back." Rash and Faxon's script had charted on the 2007 Black List, which ranks the industry's favorite unproduced screenplays.

The project stalled. Levy moved on to other films, and the script bounced around until Sycamore Pictures bought it from Mandate Pictures and Walsh came aboard as producer. Sycamore provided the financial support and Walsh decided Faxon and Rash should direct.

In hopes of sealing the deal, Searchlight sent more than a dozen of its executives to the Sundance debut, many of whom began firing off ardent emails to the filmmakers after they had seen it.

“They came wanting to love that movie, and they were going overboard in an impressive way,” a person with knowledge of the deal told TheWrap. “Multiple people at the company talked about how much they loved the film. It still didn’t mean they’d get it. Sometimes you have a distributor who does all that to justify lowballing.”

But Searchlight didn't have a clear field. As the filmmakers attended an afterparty at the Grey Goose Blue Door on Main Street, several other distributors circled. These ranged from the massive, Paramount and Warner Bros., to the very large Lionsgate, to the medium-sized FilmDistrict, Open Road and Magnolia.

Another factor was that rival agencies CAA and WME had to play nice. The movie was written and directed by CAA’s Faxon and Rash and stars WME clients Steve Carell and Toni Collette.

Around 7 p.m., the dealmakers retired to the WME house, where the discussions began. Alexis Garcia, Deb McIntosh and Graham Taylor from WME would handle the deal with Laura Lewis and Dina Kuperstock from CAA.

“We had some in-person meetings, some phone calls and a lot of the offers were apples and oranges,” Tom Rice of Sycamore Pictures, which produced and co-financed the movie with OddLot Entertainment, told TheWrap. “There were some new companies with big offers and some big companies with low offers.”

For its part, Searchlight offered to buy the movie for every unsold territory, putting its marketing muscle behind the movie in disparate countries around the world. Others wanted only domestic. Still others offered to throw in only specific countries.

Then Searchlight made the first bid, offering somewhere north of $4.5 million -- but nowhere near the number the filmmakers were looking for, especially after the successful premiere.

Still, the filmmakers were predisposed to side with Searchlight for the same reason Searchlight aggressively pursued the film: It was a known and trusted commodity and an ongoing partner.

The financiers, though, had no such loyalty. They wanted the best deal possible -- and they weren’t entirely sure why the deal had to be done that first night. “Going in, the filmmaking crew was extremely prejudiced towards Searchlight,” the individual said. “Financiers almost always go with whoever is paying most."

Several buyers wanted to hold additional screenings. DreamWorks wasn’t at the festival but was interested. Sony loved it but wanted more people needed to see it, the individual said.

But there would be no extra screenings. Searchlight, Lionsgate and one or two other bidders had been aggressive enough that it obviated the need for any uncertain outsider.

The producers, financiers, agents and lawyers at the WME house weighed the various offers, modeling out the numbers to aid their decision.

Lionsgate, they felt, had a proven advantage. The movie is about a teen who can’t fit in. Lionsgate has already turned the tweener market into billion-dollar franchises with “Twilight” and ‘The Hunger Games.” While “The Way, Way Back” is unlikely to be a box-office juggernaut to rival those movies, $50 million at the box office wouldn’t hurt.

“I have a ton of respect for the intelligence of Lionsgate's Rob Friedman and Erik Feig and Jason Constantine,” Walsh told TheWrap. “I had written two screenplays for Erik and Rob at Summit, and we had a great, long meeting to talk about the movie and their thoughts on marketing.”

But then there was Searchlight. “Some of the competitors knew it was a good movie but didn’t have a clear vision yet,” Rice said. “Searchlight accepted the Sundance version as final cut, and their vision matched our vision.”

Searchlight would also take the movie across the world.

“It’s a really American movie, and as good as the reception was, it is not going to play as well overseas,” one person close to the deal told TheWrap. “The real upside was betting on Searchlight to make it a hit not only here, but tapping into deals around the world.”

Talks then moved to the Searchlight condo, with a much smaller contingent of representatives. Although several involved claim the deal was not yet “exclusive.”

If another distributor called with a Godfather offer, all bets were off.

“it was clear they were intending to make it work as quickly as possible,” an individual close to the deal said. “And it still dragged out for several hours.”

As they haggled over numbers, the two sides moved in and out of the condo. The agents would move while Fox talked about it. The Fox team had to move when the agents wanted to call people back at the WME house.

Meanwhile, over the night, Searchlight increased its offer significantly. Making a big bet on the first-time directors, $9.75 million, at 4:30 a.m. it finally closed one of the richest deals in Sundance history.

"Fox Searchlight considers Jim and Nat a real part of their family," Rice said. "They made their interest known for a long time."

The deal done, the negotiating team headed back to the WME house to play pool, listen to music, drink champagne and down vodka. Whiskey would have been ideal given the frigid weather, but Utah’s Byzantine liquor laws had dashed the hopes of a late-night liquor run. The local whiskey from High West Distillery would have to wait.

“We didn’t plan ahead for celebrations, and it isn’t too easy to improvise in Park City,” one person there recalled.

With a couple hours until the papers would be signed, pre-planned improvisation would have to do.

And Walsh made good on his promise: Fried egg sandwiches with asparagus.

“We cracked a bottle of champagne at about 6 a.m.,” he said.

Good morning.

12 Early Short Films By Famous Hollywood Directors

$

If tomorrow's new release Mama— in which two adopted children are beset by a malevolent creature they call Mama — sounds familiar, it may be because you first encountered the film in its original three-minute short form when it was released in 2008 (You can watch that below).

Check out the films >

On the strength of the three-minute version, Guillermo del Toro (of Pan's Labyrinth fame) tapped director Andres Muschietti to expand the short into a full-length film of the same name. But Muschietti is hardly the first director to cut his teeth on self-produced shorts before moving up to a big directing gig.

Here, 12 early short films by famous Hollywood directors.

What's a Nice Girl Like You Doing in a Place Like This? (1963)

Directed by: Martin Scorsese (Goodfellas, The Departed, Hugo)

As an NYU film student, Martin Scorsese made a series of well-received short films — including The Big Shave, a darkly satirical indictment of the Vietnam War — but the most accessible is this briskly paced short, which tells the story of a man who becomes obsessed with a picture on his wall.

Six Men Getting Sick (1966)

Directed by: David Lynch (Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Inland Empire)

David Lynch's unsettling style, a trademark of his mature work, first made its appearance in a number of early short films — but none more so than Six Men Getting Sick, which is more or less what it sounds like.

Vincent (1982)

Directed by: Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Alice in Wonderland, Frankenweenie)

Like David Lynch, Tim Burton seems to have emerged as a filmmaker fully formed in his early work. Vincent is a beautifully executed, delightfully twisted stop-motion short that gleefully pays homage to the classic horror films that has inspired so much of Burton's oeuvre.

Zoë Keating

Obviously, the digital revolution hasn't been very good for the music business.

Not even apps like Spotify and Pandora are helping.

Sure, Spotify and Pandora pay musicians every time one of their songs are played – but they don't pay much.

Take cellist Zoë Keating, for example.

In a blog post which is cited in today's New York Times, Keating says that one of her songs was played 1.5 million times during a recent six month span?

Guess how much money she made from that…

No really. Guess.

Cartoon Network is taking its upfront presentation on the road: In lieu of one supersized Gotham gala, ad sales, marketing and programming execs for the Turner cabler will stop and chat with clients in more than 15 cities around the country to tout Cartoon's fare.

"This year, we are breaking away from a traditional upfront presentation to engage with advertisers in a series of conversations that will focus on the development of ideas that leverage our brand strength to meet the goals of our partners," said Donna Speciale, president of Turner Entertainment and young adults ad sales.

Cartoon is set to premiere a handful of new series in 2013, including action-adventure series based on DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation: "Teen Titans Go" and "Beware the Batman."

Cabler premiered Nick Cannon-produced sketch comedy skein "Incredible Crew" last week.

Cosmo's Lawyer Bachelor Of The Year Fills Girls In On What They Can Expect From Today's Dating Scene

ryan Chenevert bachelor of the year

Cosmo's lovably awkward lawyer Bachelor of the Year is back with even more interview gems.

Ryan Chenevert, a 25-year-old lawyer in Louisiana, sat down with Hoda Kotb and Meredith Vieira of "The Today Show" to give his thoughts on the modern dating scene.

Chenevert, sex and relationship therapist Ian Kerner and 31-year-old author Debra Goldstein sat down to discuss the controversial New York Times' op-ed The End of Courtship?

The opinion piece, which Kotb called "depressing," suggested texting and the rest of the digital age had killed traditional courtship.

Despite modern technology, Goldstein said girls could teach guys to be romantic and follow traditional courtship rules. But Chenevert wasn't so sure men could pick up on their clues.

"Guys are stupid," he said. "We don't get that. You know, some guys are going to text regardless."

The group also discussed the merits of hanging out in a group versus traditional dating.

And once again, Chenevert had no problem bluntly laying it all out there.

"I'm not a fan of this hang out dating thing because I want to screen the girl before I go and introduce her to my friends," he said.

We Know Another Villain Who Will Be In 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'

paul giamatti rhino spider-man

We already know that Jamie Foxx is signed on to play Electro in "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel, and now we're getting word that Paul Giamatti is in talks to star as his favorite villain, the Rhino.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is currently in talks for the role in the sequel to last summer's blockbuster.

If you're not familiar with the character, he's a Russian thug who was transformed in an experiment to have super speed and strength ... who, yes, looks like a Rhino.

In a way, he's kind of like the Juggernaut from "X-Men" or The Hulk with a horn.

Spider-Man ends of the earth rhino avengers comicWhat's more interesting to us though is that in the comics he's another member of Spider-Man's Sinister Six group, which we speculated may be just the way to link up Spidey in a future crossover with The Avengers. (The group once took down the Sinister Six.)

In Rhino's appearance with the Sinister Six, both he and Electro are fighting the Avengers.

Of course, getting Spider-Man in a Disney film would be difficult considering Sony has the rights to the film, but the merger could be potential box-office gold down the line.

THR also reports that Felicity Jones (our pick for Anastasia Steele in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" film adaptation) is in talks for a role in the sequel as well.

Considering Shailene Woodley is already signed on as Mary Jane Parker, there aren't a lot more women to choose from.

There's Liz Allan, a high school student who always defended black cat spider-manPeter against her boyfriend Flash Thompson. Seeing as we've already seen a lot of Flash in the first film, we doubt this would be Jones' character.

Instead, we're leaning more toward the role of Felicia Hardy/Black Cat (essentially Marvel's version of Catwoman) since she was another known member of the Sinister Six.

Plus, Anne Hathaway was originally going to play her in the first film

"The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel won't be out until 2014.

Jeff Zucker Confirms Chris Cuomo Is Leaving ABC For CNN

Chris Cuomo

ABC News veteran and chief legal correspondent Chris Cuomo is leaving his “20/20” co-host gig to join Jeff Zucker's new team at CNN.

The news network confirmed the rumors with a press release from Zucker, stating:

“Chris is an accomplished anchor who is already an established name in morning television, as well as a widely respected investigative journalist. What I love about Chris is that he is passionate about every story he tells, never forgets about the viewer, and represents the type of journalism that makes CNN great.”

Cuomo also released a statement of his own:

“This is a fantastic opportunity to do what I value the most and hopefully to do the work that I do best. While it’s very difficult to leave ABC News, a place filled with people I have loved working with for many years, I am excited about my future with CNN.”

Cuomo, the brother of New York governor Andrew and the son of ex-governor Mario "will have a major role in a new CNN morning show and across the network, anchoring and reporting on major events," reads the release.

Cuomo’s contract with ABC is was up for renewal and he was apparently eager to make the jump to cable if the offer was right, reports Deadline.

And according to a NY Post insider, Zucker was eyeing Cuomo and has been “looking for an anchor he can basically make the centerpiece of the network.”

Chris Cuomo Diane Sawyer Mariah Carey

“Look, Jeff has this brand he has to respect and grow but he’s walked into a situation where he could change out every single talent on his network right now, everything and everyone is up for grabs and he’s going to start with the morning show,” a person with close knowledge of the situation at CNN tells Deadline. “Frankly he wants to upgrade things and he has a wish list and Cuomo fits into that perfectly.”

Cuomo, 42, served as the news anchor on "Good Morning America" from 2006-2009 before moving to co-host "20/20" alongside Elizabeth Vargas and act as the ABC News Chief Legal Correspondent.

Zucker has already poached ABC’s senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper, and there have been rampant rumors he wants to add NBC's Ann Curry to his new CNN line up.

But NBC is reportedly insisting that Curry stay off the air for six months in exchange for releasing her from her contract and TMZ claims "reports that Zucker is courting Curry to be the next CNN star couldn't be further from the truth."

"Ann has been sainted because of what happened to her [on 'Today']," a source told TMZ. "The fact is ... she definitely can't carry a prime time show."

But just last month, it was reported Zucker wanted Curry to replace Anderson Cooper in his prime 8 p.m. time slot.

Shirley Hornstein Finally Says Why She Tricked Silicon Valley Into Thinking She Was Famous

$

shirley hornstein justin timberlakeMore than six months ago, TechCrunch shined a light on Shirley Hornstein, a master photoshopper who pretended to know important people to make herself credible in Silicon Valley.

Hornstein would find pictures of celebrities like Justin Timberlake, stick her face in the photo, and say she knew them. She used the connections to land gigs. She also claimed to work for Founders Fund to up her social status. BetaBeat also says she committed credit card fraud.

Now she's written a blog post explaining why she swindled and lied. Titled "An Honest Apology," Hornstein is asking forgiveness from those she wronged. She says she's been lying her entire life.

"I have spent the last 26 years (or, my entire life) lying to, deceiving and manipulating everyone around me, including myself. It finally, publicly, and devastatingly caught up to me last year and I made the decision to stop," her post begins.

She blames her actions on lifelong insecurities, lying so people would like her; she has never liked herself.

Here's an excerpt:

What I did was wrong, and I’m ashamed of my behavior. I’m just offering an insight into the “why’s” a lot of people have asked me about, “why’s” about which I was always too much of a coward to give them an answer. I’m incredibly insecure, and I have been struggling with my insecurities for most of my life. Lying became my coping mechanism, because it allowed me to cover up  everything I hated about myself - my body, my (normal) upbringing, my (non-ivy) education, my job (or sometimes lack thereof), my (nonexistent) friends, and my constant fear of being unimportant. I could hide all those things with elaborate stories of grandeur that I thought would make people like me. I didn’t want to be myself because I didn’t like myself - so why would anyone else like the real me? Over the years those lies made me feel confident, and as the lies got bigger my behavior changed to match the lies. I started drowning myself in debt to keep up appearances, attended events I cared about (but couldn’t afford) and made promises I desperately wanted to fulfill, but knew I couldn’t. Everything spun out of control. So far out of control, that I completely lost touch with who I actually am, and as a result, my life fell apart. It’s an insufficient explanation, not an excuse, but the only way this gets fixed is if I start being honest about why I’ve been doing this for so long.

Anna Wintour's Boyfriend Owes $1.2 Million In Back Taxes And It Could Sink Her Chances At Being An Ambassador

$

Anna Wintour

J. Shelby Bryan, the long-term boyfriend of US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, owes the US government more than $1.2 million (£760,000) in taxes.

Mr Bryan, a former adviser to Bill Clinton who helped raise funds for Mr Obama's re-election campaign, has owed the money to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) since 2006, according to court filings obtained by The Daily Telegraph from Texas.

Mr Bryan, who has been in a relationship with Ms Wintour since 1999, was also pursued for outstanding Texas property taxes, and has had energy companies he owns in the state chided by local authorities for falling behind on their financial filings.

The findings may threaten Ms Wintour's confirmation as a US ambassador if nominated by Mr Obama. Her appointment would need to be approved by the US Senate, which has in the past objected to irregularities in the tax affairs of nominees and their partners.

Mr Bryan, 66, was said to have a fortune of $30 million when he left his second wife, Katherine, for Ms Wintour 13 years ago. He reportedly suffered a decline in personal wealth amid the financial crisis, however, and frequently stays at Ms Wintour's $10 million townhouse in Manhattan.

Ms Wintour was one of Mr Obama's leading fundraisers during his re-election campaign, bringing in $500,000 to the president's coffers. At one $35,000-a-plate fundraising dinner in August, Mr Obama thanked "Anna and Shelby for being such extraordinary hosts".

While helping to add to Mr Obama's $1 billion re-election fund, however, Mr Bryan had a significant debt to the US government. A lien filed in Texas shows that he owed more than $1.6 million in March 2006. He has since paid back about $400,000.

Mr Bryan said in an interview with The Daily Telegraph that he received the tax bill after "unravelling" a stockholding arrangement that was previously used as a loophole by investors to delay paying tax, before it was banned by US authorities in 1997.

READ: Anna Wintour raised $40 million for Obama’s re-election campaign

"I had a thing that you will never want to happen in your life," he said.

"It was a situation that created tax liability but no cash". He said that he had drawn up a repayment programme with the IRS, which had been "very accommodating", and that he was "on schedule".

Asked why he had not acted to clear the entire tax bill immediately, Mr Bryan said: "I would have loved to have done that – if I had the cash I could have".

Records also show that in 2010 Mr Bryan was pursued for about $20,000 in overdue property taxes by authorities in Harris County, Texas. He blamed "a series of perfect storms" that struck after he replaced his accountant with another who died, and who was replaced by another "who was not adequate".

"I've paid Harris County so much money in so many taxes, and that's the only time it went awry," he said. "I mean it was my fault, you know people in the office weren't doing their job – but it was kind of an exceptional situation." He later paid the bill in full.

Mr Bryan blamed the same office confusion for corporate records in the state also showing that a string of his energy companies had their corporate registrations revoked. He said a staff member who "just didn't know better" had failed to notify authorities that he was winding down some of the firms.

Mr Bryan continues to lead several energy and financial companies. He also serves as a director to a Virginia-based communications firm, which sells voice-over-internet services to businesses.

He owns a three-bedroom condominium valued at $720,000 in Houston, Texas, and sold a second Houston apartment for about $150,000 in June last year.

However he is frequently seen in New York with Ms Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine, whom he accompanied to the White House for the state dinner in honour of David Cameron during the prime minister's visit to Washington last year.

A descendant of the Austins, one of Texas's oldest families, Mr Bryan went from being a young banker to making his fortune as one of the earliest investors in the burgeoning US mobile phone industry from the mid-1980s.

Having been one of Mr Clinton's most loyal and lucrative fundraisers during the then-president's re-election campaign in 1996, he was appointed to Mr Clinton's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.

Carole MalloryCarole Mallory, the now 71-year-old former model and "Stepford Wives" actress who wrote “Loving Mailer” about her eight-year affair with Norman Mailer, has again picked up her pen to write a new book titled "Picasso's Ghost," about her sexual exploits with famous men.

Among the males written about are Robert De Niro, Peter Sellers, Richard Gere and Pablo Picasso's son, Claude.

“A lot of my seeking out famous men was to prove I was OK," Mallory recently told the NY Post. "I felt validated by celebrities."

Today, Mallory teaches writing at Rosemont College and Temple University in Philadelphia. Here's what she has to say in her new book about her past lovers (via the New York Post):

Actor Robert De Niro:

  • The two met in 1975 at the Chateau Marmont and had a 14-day affair. “During lovemaking, he never stopped looking in my eyes,” she writes. “He had a butterfly tattoo that I later realized matched his flighty spirit. So did the fact he left his socks on.” She added, “The following year he married Diahnne Abbott . . . I would have appreciated a phone call.”

“Pink Panther” star Peter Sellers:

  • “I kissed him all over his hairy body. He had hair everywhere. He even had it on his back. I liked it. He reminded me of a giant panda bear ... I think maybe he was too filled with self-loathing. Alcohol temporarily masked that and freed him from his demonic thoughts about himself.”

Actor Richard Gere:

  • After a one-night stand with Gere in the late ’70s, Mallory says: “His gymnastic skills were apparent. He made love his way . . . He didn’t withhold. He was Valentino in the flesh. A sex symbol not to be forgotten. Not to be lumped in with all the others, but to be remembered for his uniqueness. His thoughtfulness. His caring.”

Carole MalloryClaude Picasso, Pablo Picasso’s son:

  • After an engagement to the famous artist's son, she says “I was jilted by Claude Picasso, and I spent most of my life trying to shore up my bad feelings about myself ... I felt terribly wounded when he jilted me."

How Netflix Plans To Raise $400 Million In Debt To Invest In The Future Of TV

A week after surprising everyone— including itself — with a surge in quarter earnings, Netflix announces it's planning to raise $400 million in debt.

According to the press release, Netflix will use about $225 million to refinance a percentage of its senior notes.

The rest of the funds will go toward investments, future acquisitions, and corporate spending.

It's no surprise that Netflix would want to continue to expand with content both original and syndicated.

CEO Reed Hastings made it clear during its Q4 earnings call that Netflix would like to pursue acquiring more content.

"We’d like to get more movies, we’d like to get more privacy’s in television. We’d like to have more originals," said Hastings. "And in general, as we grow, we’ll be able to deliver on that more and more for consumers."

And, they already have. In the spring, Netflix will be adding content from the Cartoon Network and Adult Swim libraries after a deal with Warner Bros. This is in addition to its latest deals with Disney and producers to run current episodes of Fox's new show "The Following" and NBC's "Revolution."

In the company's Q4 Investor's Letter, the importance of exclusive original content to the site's future is outlined in more detail:

"Because original series can be completely exclusive to Netflix (no TVOD, no linear, no kiosks, no theaters) we believe they will be more effective in attracting and retaining members than equivalent content that is less exclusive to Netflix."

Netflix sees exclusive deals with producers of popular dramas and original content vital as competitors including TV Everywhere and HBO Go continue to grow.
